Yesterday i've put JB on my S3. And everything is working correct however. There is one weird translation in the notification bar. Where the brightness can be set there also is a checkbox. On ICS it said "Auto" however now it says "Automatich" What is too long for that place.
So i thought lets change that! I searched everywhere for language files and how to edit that. Google did not help either.
Can someone push me in the right direction where to edit what file/apk?

i want to add my own city to the weather tab. I have downloaded the CHome. Everything ok, but when I want to customize the weather tab, I get only one short sound. I can customize only settings tab. Know anybody any solution, please?
I tried edit the file HH_0405_WeatherCities.txt, but there is "only read" attribute, and I cannot change the Attributes.

then as soon as I click "ChangeSystemFonts.sh" my phone automatically rebooted and now remains on the Att screen vibrating. please help I put lots of time into this phone and would hate to lose my saved apps and docs.
At least some one tell me if I posted in the right area... or point me in the right direction... anyone?
Found out the issue myself...
Although no one in the forum was of use in terms of pointing me in the right direction, the forum itself was very useful

You don't have to do anything special to change fonts on the captivate.
Just go to settings > display > font style
There are a ton of fonts here

Okay, so I'm a total noob (brand new to Android, as of 3 days ago)... Please forgive me if this is a dumb question -- though I have searched high and low for an answer to no avail.
I'm running the Desensed 1.7 ROM on the Flyer and loving it!! (massive kudos to Gumby for this rom!) Nonetheless, I'm trying to edit the browser apk file and change the find within this page menu function within the included default android browser, wich is literally labeled "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ" to something like "Find." However, searching through language pack xml files within the values folders yields no luck -- I can find labels for every function other than the find function. Is this label being pulled within the os from a different location? Anyone know how to change this?

Nevermind -- figured out how to change it!! The change needed to take place within the actual language pack (within the framework-res folder)... I'm probably the only one that was bothered by it... Ha!!
In build.prop there is the line for the notification sound.
ro.config.notification_sound=01_Sherbert.ogg
Why doesn't this change if I select another notification through 'sound'?
say Argon and it should change to Argon.ogg
Even if I change it in the build.prop and reboot it doesn't change when you go to 'sound'
Is this done somewhere else?
Running FJ's AOSP ROM if that makes a difference
I believe that is only there to set the notification on first run. After that, that line is no longer used.
Any idea where the current one is stored?
There has to be a line of code somewhere....
No idea. Too quick and easy to change it in the sound settings so I never looked.

Studacris I looked in there and see the shared file and lots of setting but not one for the notification sound.
I also don't even know if you can change/add a line to one of these xml file in the script???
Or is always a full replacement of the file?

I want to theme the Stock android keyboard (4.0 and 4.1 which is.. at least of the theming and images and colors and so on.. the same).
I ahve done everything but one thing.
I want to make it completely black and i have succeeded so far.
But i cant find the file that gives the color for the background of the suggestion field (where the suggested words are shown in). That field is still grey....
Does anyone know, in which file that color is given?
