[Q] Can't root Sola and Flashtool says USB debugging off - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Ihave problem with Bin4ry's root tool. it doesn't do anything, just says * daemon started successfully * and stopping here. then i tried flashtool, installed drivers from zero. when i connect my device with usb debugging to pc, flashtool says
03/026/2012 15:26:12 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
i think Bin4ry's tool thinks same letters with flashtool. what can i do?

I rooted my Sola using Flashtool v0.9.6.0. Works perfectly for me.
Download the flashtool from here and root it. Make sure you are in MSC mode too.

i installed adb drivers, in msc mode and usb debugging enabled its here in device manager as "android phone". but why it can't seen in flashtool as usb debugging on ? when i try in command prompt with android-sdk typing adb devices there's not any devices. why?

I have exactly the same problem with my Xperia U.
Help!

Same problem with my Xperia U too ....
Any way to have usb debug "on" ?
(Of course I have usb debugging enabled in menu, confirmed in the notification bar ...)

Update to ver 10 ( flashtool)
sent via mighty SOLA running eXperience on CM9!!

I have the exact same problem. I tried everything and nothing works. Any idea?

try to make a factory data reset and try to turn it on
or try try to flash the ics rom again
if nothing work you need to be an unlocked bootloader user
or if you tried to root with restore while you are opening the flash tool it wont work cuz the root with restore makes any rooting programe not work

1 - enable debugging mode on your smartphone (settings>applications>development)
2 - pull up the Drivers on PC Companion Folder copy it to your PC
3 - Extract it
4 - connect your x10 mini on your computer (charge phone only)
5 - right click on computer>properties (advance system settings>Hardware)( if you are using Windows Vista and 7) then find DEVICE MANAGER
6 - find the SEMC HSUSB Device (the device must update the driver) your x10 mini ADB driver is in PC Companion>driver>All Signed: you can find it where you extracted the PC companion driver
7 - right click on the unknown device then update it e.g (C:\Users\Desktop\AllSigned)
8 - after the update the unknown device must be named : Sony Ericsson sa0101 ADB Interface Driver
9 - now you can use the Superoneclick program....

I had the same problem with my ST15i.
i wanted to flash to 4.0.1.A.0.283 and for rooting i had to use DooM Kernel for Last firmware (4.0.A.2.368). your problem is the same.
After Flashing new Firmware, while phone is off, connect it to fastboot mode and run command to flash boot.img (that's all in your link).
when completed, turn on your phone and go to:
Menu > Settings > Sony Ericsson > Connectivity
you can change usb mode to MSC so that Pc and then SuperOneClick will recognize it. (phone doesn't show any icon but pc will recognize)
after rooting via superoneclick you should get back to new firmware Kernel. again via fastboot mode and run flash kernel.sin
when done turn on your phone and it's fixed
you can read this thread (for ST15i) and do the same steps for your Ray: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1279774
Have you installed the drivers for fastboot/flashmode for the Ray? Pc companion only installs ADB drivers, but you need additional ones for fastboot to work. You can find them here on xda or sony bootloader unlock site . Also make sure that usb debug is enabled for rooting with superoneclick (version 1.7 works).
Thanks it works now

[Q] Xperia Sk17a Root fail.

I want root Xperia Sk17a with the last firmware, but when using the flashtool I have the following error:
16/020/2012 15:20:37 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
16/020/2012 15:20:37 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
but... USB debugging off and MTP is ON!
If no solution to this, I saw that when you unlock the bootloader could be done as root, but as you unlock then? ..
Thanks!
You probably have .062 firmware
first of all your english is realy hard to understand,
all i understand is you saying that USB debugging is off and MTP is on,
if yes, then you are doing it wrong, turn on USB debugging and disable MTP mode,
go to settings-sony ericsson-connectiivity-USB connection mode and choose MSC mode, go back and uncheck 'auto connection in 'MSC', then enable USB debugging and connect

Sorry, I have a bad English. But you understand very well.
Just try it, but does not work
16/036/2012 15:36:20 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
16/036/2012 15:36:20 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
If you can not make it work, I would like a guide to unlock the bootloader.
Again, sorry for my English, I'm using google translator in a few words xD
Thanks for the replies!
Edit: I'm reflashing the phone with Wotan to get the previous firmware.
.62 firmwares cant be rooted.

try doomlord's easy rooting kit, google it, you will find it
I used Superoneclick. Most convenient way of rooting. No matter locked or unlocked bootloader *applies only to fw below .62.

[Q] In Fastboot device not recognized!

My PC
OS: Win 8 x64
ADB, JDK, Flashtool, Drivers(fastboot/flashtool) installed
My phone
Model: Xperia mini pro
Bootloader: Unlocked
Root: Rooted
ROM: stock .587 ics(preinstalled superuser)
Kernel: custom Rage 3.2
USB debugging on, not in MTP, Unknown source selected.
Problem: Turned on phone recognised in ADB, Flashtool. I can control(push/pull) the phone through ADB. But when connected in fastboot mode the turned off phone is not recognised by PC(USB). I tried it in Win 7 x64 too, but problem remains.
N.B: After flashing any rom through CWM, I go to setting(to developer option) and get the "USB debugging mode" pre selected(even I factory reset it) Is it customary? I think when I connect the turned off phone even enabling "USB debugging mode", it actually act as not in debugging mode (just a skeptical thought).
WTF! I connected it to PC in CWM recovery and whether the 'debugging mode' is on or off the ADB works. But in Flashtool it shows "device connected with debugging off" though it is turned on.
Try to install PdaNet program,it has some drivers.

Installed drivers in pc under
/Flashtool/drivers/Flashtool-drivers
If yes check
/Flashtool/devices/sk17i
Folder exists with loader.sin and sk17i.properties
Device : Xperia Mini ST15i
Rom : Pureness V4
Kernel : Lupus V9
Mods : Beats audio + Walkman V7.5

[HELP] Can't recognize fastboot mode

i have a LWW Unlocked bootloader
i want to flash a rom but im in a stock ICS .587 non-root stock kernel
All drivers are already installed (i think), when i open flashtool and connect my phone in fastboot mode (volume up) the blue led is turned on but it can't be recognized in the flashtool, in the log when i connect my device it says "device connected in flash mode"
help ! i need to flash a kernel
bump i need help
When I connect my LWW in fastboot mode, Flashtool on my home PC recognizes it as connected in flashmode. If I connect it in flashmode, it is recognized as flash mode, as it should, but again, fastboot is also recognized as flashmode. I tried to remove GGSEMC drivers, but no luck - when I connect phone in fastboot mode Windows recognizes it as S1 Boot Fastboot unknown device first, then suddenly it changes to SEMC Flash device and driver for flashmode is auto-installed.
What can I do? please help
try re-installing the sony driver. that should work.
Try reinstalling the drivers or install pc companion/sony update service, they should automatically install the drivers
done that already. but didn't work
Use 2.0USB ports, i was using USB3.0 ports and that was my problem.
1)download and reinstall drivers.
2) In settings->developer options-> enable Android USB debugging
