Hi, I just saw Galaxy S3 LTE international edition.
Can I use Galaxy S3 LTE international edition on Rogers in Canada?
If I use SGS3 LTE international edition, I will use only 3G.
Please tell me

Heya
A buddy of mine, who's located in the US, is hunting for a SGS2.
One idea was, I buy one here (=Germany) and send it to him.
Question: Will the german SGS2 work fine in the US with his US sim card?
He mentioned something about "boost" or "sprint" being the carrier he has a sim card of.
Of course the device would be unlocked and all, so that wouldn't bother us.
If it your buddy has a "Sprint" network contract he needs a 4G/CDMA phone. Sprint has a specific version of SGS II called "Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch" (SPH-D710) .
2G Network CDMA 800 / 1900
3G Network CDMA2000 1xEV-DO
Announced 2011, August
Status Available. Released 2011, September
Hmm, but that'd mean he'd need special FWs/ROMs and couldn't just flash all the ROMs and stuff floating around here, right?
What carrier/network/whatever would he need to be able to use a "normal" I9100?
delete....
Samsung Galaxy S2 (international) has support for
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
Samsung Galaxy S II T-Mobile
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 1700 / 2100
but I believe T-Mobile also suport HSDPA 900
AT&T: Samsung Galaxy S II AT&T
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
Sprint: Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch
2G Network CDMA 800 / 1900
3G Network CDMA2000 1xEV-DO
So the international SGS II should work best in AT&T networks. And maybe in T-Mobile. For data 3G network is important.
3g will not work on t mobile with international version... don't mislead people. In order for 3g to work on t mobile both 1700 and 2100 freq must work... one is used. For upload and the other download.

Thanks guys! This helped, I think.
Looks like he should get an AT&T SIM and all shall be fine
Hello
Tried to find out the answer in these forums but can't find it.
I bought an AT&T I717 for the faster processor and lack of a physical home button (prefer the look) but not sure it's compatible with our data networks?
GSMArena gives:
i717
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100
N7000
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 700 (region specific)
I've got a nasty suspicion that my Three UK network might be using 900 MHz 3G. The only frequency not on the i717.

Can anyone else confirm this is the problem or is it the stock AT&T Radio? Would rooting and installing another Radio & ROM make any difference or should I attempt to sell it and get an N7000?
Any serious help much appreciated.

Played around with the settings from dialling *#2263# and speeds improved.
Still comments on Radios & ROMs welcome.
Hi guys,
Im thinking about getting this device. Does anyone know if it comes network free or just on verizon?
Thanks
It is network free. Just make sure the network you're planning to use is supported by the bands available for the phone:
2G Network: CDMA 800 / 1900
GSM: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network: CDMA2000 1xEV-DO
HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network: LTE 700

HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 - for AT&T
4G Network LTE 700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100 - for AT&T

Not sure but there should be no 4G on international HOX+, only on AT&T

Hi, does anyone know how I can find out and check that bands and their associated frequency MHz supports unlocked htc one m8 US AT & T phone?
Depending on the ROM, you can enter *#*#SERVICE#*#* (*#*#7378423#*#*) into the dialer to see the bands supported. But this requires Servicemenu.apk installed, and I just tried it on my M8 (running SROM) and it doesn't work for me.
There are also several apps which can tell you the bands supported by the device (LTE Discover, Signalcheck) but I can't vouch for any one in particular.
What exactly are you trying to determine?
AT&T uses 3G Bands 2 and 5 (850 and 1900 MHZ) and LTE bands 2, 4, 5, and 17. Based on device specs from here, the AT&T version M8 also supports (in addition to the bands used by AT&T) 3G Band 1 (2100 MHz) and LTE Band 7.

Hi RP73 thank!
Because of problem to connect may hTC M8 in Croatia EU area out of city on the the G3 900MHz band I would like to check which band really support my device. Other wise some check applications see my device as US brand AT$T other as Europe GSM device? hTC was bought as factory unlocked!
