first off, i just wanted to state, before i get ripped into, i have spend the last 1.5 days reading everything i can find on any forum that comes back with search results for my issue. i've tried numerous drivers, different PC's, even a Linux Live CD system.
I cannot get my PC (win 7, 32 bit) to see my TF201 via ADB.
It is installed in the device manager with the "universal naked driver 0.7", and shows up as "Asus Transformer Prime ADB Interface". But whenever i try to connect via ADB to run the fix in this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514088 - i cannot see the device.
I have tried all of the mount/unmount options in CWM. nothing is working for me.
is there anyone that has run into this? And if so, have you found a resolution?
sorry if i'm coming off as the typical noob here, but i really have put in time researching the issue and attempting other fix-it routes before posting up a help thread.
Thanks!!

I was able to get it out of the boot loop, so that it will boot to the splash screen. well following instructions i've found online, when in CWM, i connected through ADB and pushed a copy of cm9.zip up to the internal storage.
yet, whenever i choose "install from zip" in CWM, it never finds the zip file.
i have done it a few times now and it says it copies up completely, but never actually shows up.
syntax i'm using: adb push cm9filename.zip "/sdcard/cm9filename.zip"
it takes about two minutes and gives me confirmation that it pushed x amount of bytes of data for the file, and says its done. I then go back to the tablet in CWM and choose install from sdcard, and it says there are no files.
I'm about ready to throw this thing in the trash and be done with it......
First of all make a small text file and zip it up for a test file that wont take long to push.
Now type adb push test.zip /data/media/
look if the file is showing where you go to install a rom.
If it is showing then push the rom to the same place then install it

I am having the same exact problem. It started when I tried to restore my stock backup that I made using CWM 5.8.2.0 coming from the CM rom. I am stuck in the CWM recovery screen and cant get ADB to see the TF Prime. I just get error: device not found. How did you manage to push a zip if ADB wasn't seeing your device? I have been looking for a fix for the last week now.

the problem is whenever it try to fastboot it just keeps saying waiting for device. I can put my TF prime in fastoot mode when I power on while holding down on vol it just goes right to CWM recovery and any adb command gives me no device found and I tried APX mode (holding vol up during power on) and tried to use NVFlash but that just gives me an error device not recognized. I have all the drivers installed. I used the naked drivers .7 and have cleared out all the old drivers too.

No, you hold Vol down + power then when the first screen with sentences appears you release everything DON'T touch anything, after 5 secondes you will end in a screen with three icons, with volume down youu select the usb icon in the middle, then volume up.
This procedure works even on locked devices except that in this case you don't have the usb icon, only the factory reset and cold reboot ones. So it's impossible you don't obtai this screen, it's hardware coded.
It is confusing but just keep trying till you get it!! Once there go to the TWRP site they have the file and the fastboot commands all set in a guide.
I have exactly the same problem than you.
I had the fastboot/adb connection (I used to push the rom by adb), but i tried to install a wrong version on gapps. Since then, I'm stock in the recovery mode without adb/fastboot connection.
If you find a solution for that, pleaze post it !!

Hello guys, I'm here because my TF201 seems to be bricked ...
I know, there is a lot of threads about this kind of problems, but I can't succeed to solve mine by reading hundred of threads.
I explain what's happened :
My TF201 has an unlocked bootloader (by asus method), root, and has a CWM (CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4). I was on the lattest ICS build (9.4.2.15). Since october, i know that JB was on TF201, but not mine. So I decide to download the lattest Stock JB version from Asus website and to place it into my SDcard. I reboot my TF201 in recovery (holding down the volume button, then up), I've done a backup. After this backup, I've done a factory reset and I install the new ROM from my SDcard. Maybe I should not do this ... But now, my tablet stay on the bootscreen (Asus EEE pad logo). I can always access to the recovery, so I tried to factory reset and restore my previous backup ... But it didn't work, my tablet still bricked.
So, I went to google, i've read lots of threads for trying to understand whats happened to my TF201. I've read some thread on XDA forum too.
I've tried every solutions proposed, and anyone work.
I've read some articles about ADB. I installed it, but the problems is that my TF201 can't be detected by my computer (Running Win8 64). I installed drivers from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1379875
But, still nothing, impossible to show my device when I write "adb devices" or "fastboot devices" in windows cmd.
I'm a little bit desesperate, so i came here for writting this thread, hopping that someone could help me to unbrick my TF201 without send it back to Asus (wich cost me hundreds of euros).
I'm going in front of some questions that i've read in other thread :
No i've not TWRP recovery installed.
I haven't got a nvFlash.
Thanks for reading this thread and for your help !
Sincerelly,
Thrakka.
PS : I'm really sorry for my bad english, don't blame me ^^
You can access recovery?
Then you are not bricked.

Primarily because he has cwm recovery and jellybean bootloader. He does not know how to set up his drivers on his computer for fastboot to install the correct recovery for his bootloader.
to the OP, go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1615990 and figure out how to get twrp for jellybean on your prime. TWRP supports flashing roms from the microsd slot so you dont need to push one to your sd. also if you need help getting the naked drivers to work on your prime go the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426502 that pertains to others putting it on the prime. they will be more help than the galaxy naked drivers users. FORGET ABOUT CWM!!! IT IS NOT SUPPORTED ON PRIME FOR JELLYBEAN
@ Garret
Yes I can access to recovery, but for flashing a new rom, I need to access my internal SDcard ... But infortunatelly, now I can't.
A thing that I don't understand is when I restore my ICS backup, it doesn't work ...
@ Whycali
I'm gonna try your advice this afternoon.
But how can I install TWRP on my prime without access ... I'm will try with your links ... Hoping succeed ...
I'll give you the results in the evening.
Sincerely,
Thrakka.
I can access to the fastboot mode, but impossible to flash anything ...
I've taken all driver for the prime on my computer, install them.
the command "fastboot devices" work, i can see my prime : 00000 fastboot
but when I try the command "fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery twrp.blob" from www{dot}teamw.in/project/twrp2/93, the result : error: cannot load 'twrp.blob' : No error.
I can't understand.
The directory "/platform-tools" from the ADT is in the PATH variable, and the file "twrp.blob" is in the same directory. Two ways for the fastboot command to find it, but it can't succeed ...
Same problem when I want to create my own nvflash blob file (tuto from androidroot.mobi/t3_nvflash/) with the command "fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash staging ebtblob.bin", the result is the same : error: cannot load 'ebtblob.bin' : No error.
I can't see my mistake ... Could you help me ?
Sincerely,
Thrakka.
PS : as i'm a new member, I can't post direct link to other site where I found tutos, sorry ...

on your pc you need to run the command from the same directory that contains the file you wish to transfer. easiest way to do this is to place the blob in the folder where your fastboot application is then hold shift and right click inside the folder. from the menu that opens choose open command window here. from there run your fastboot commands.

hey, hold up and check your pm. Do not install TWRP for jb if you are still on the ICS bootloader.
you can check which bootloader version of twrp to install by where the nvidia logo is on the bootscreen. bottom center needs ics twrp. bottom right needs Jellybean twrp. By all means if you are still with ics finish the nvflash backups first.

Hello Aduniel: I have essentially the same issue with my tf201. It seems to be hard bricked? (My guess.) If I reboot with Volume Down and Power button, I get a message "This device is Unlocked" in upper left of screen. Also large lettering in center of the screen, "ASUS" and "nNidea Tegra 3" in the lower right.
If I boot with Volume Up and Power button, I get a blank, black screen. (APX mode).
I have set up ADB and naked drivers on a notebook running Windows 7. When I try to connect via fastboot, I get a message <waiting for device>. But it does not connect.
I was wondering if you managed to get your tablet working since Nov. 2013? If so, what did you have to do? I need to know if there is any hope, or have I shot myself in the foot, as they say.
Cheers man,
Jim

I understand that I am in no way the first person to have boot loop problem with the font installer but the solution always seems to be to flash a rom. My problem however is that I don't have cynagonmod or aokp, I only have stock jelly bean 4.1.2 on my LG p769
I did root my Phone and I have changed my font 2 other times before but this time when I did it my phone just went into a boot loop, do I need cwm recovery? because I don't think I have that and honestly this entire process has ben nothing but confusing.
If you don't have a custom recovery then you have to flash a ROM. You have to install adb and then fastboot then sw mode to flash the right ROM. Sounds complicated but it's kinda easy once you get the hang of it. Good luck

Yes sw upgrade mode. You will need to use camendra and Lelus method for flashing.

So it turns out it was because I was using Windows 8 ( or possibly my surface pro) , I haven't flashed my phone yet but at least I've installed the driver and I'm running Fast Boot now, Thanks Nathan.7118391
I have reached a point where my phone has the the LG logo in black and white backwards, and it says fastboot v0.2 backwards... but the post doesn't say anything about how to flash the rom aferwards. and does it need to be an official kdz or can it be aokp?
I get as far as...

then my phone re-enters the bootloop
I'm sorry to keep asking questions but every time I make progress there is always some problem and every forum just leads me to another forum.. I've already achieved fast boot on my phone, "I think" but I'm extremely confused as to how to flash the kdz. Any detailed explanation would be deeply appreciated. This probably seems really easy for you but am at wits ends. Thanks however for guiding me so far

Alright, I'm send you to some more threads, but this will get everything working lol

His has an easy option to flash (with fastboot), the ice cream x & u for your device.
You need to do this to get the offline flash working.
Once you flash the x & u run the offline flash. Look at carloswii5 video to see how it is done.

Note, you are not doing the other stuff in the vid, just learn how to install and use the offline flash. plus checkout this thread for more info

Ok I'm assuming you are having trouble with the omap4boot commands. As the instructions say take out your battery from your phone and disconnect from computer. Run the program from your computer to get to the menu then select #3 for Prada and once you press enter put the usb cord into the phone then wait about 5 seconds then place your battery in. Should be smooth sailing after that. Once it asks you do you want fastboot just say no, and no to loading u-boot. Just disconnect your phone and you are done with this part. .Let me know when you are finished with this.
You can't flash a custom ROM in fastboot so you will have to load a stock kdz file but that's later. .
I finished that, I got all the way to the end where it says
--------------------------------------------
------------------------------
Please remove USB cable
and wait until LG Logo on
then reconnent USB cable again
------------------------------
fastboot devices (y/N) ? and press <ENTER> n
ls: resigned/p940-MLO*.bin: No such file or directory
Do you want to replace u-boot (y/N) ?n
ls: cwm/p940-*.img: No such file or directory
Press any key to continue . . .
I assume that is all I have to do here so should I just follow the New Lelus method now?

No Lelus method yet. You can do as Kuma has said above or what I did. Either way we are both trying to help you. Now that you got that done and congrats on that! Follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44325657&postcount=4&nocache=1&z=6862240654882044 which will help you with getting u-boot and x-loader on your phone. Skip getting the drivers because you already did that. But you will do the same thing that you did with the earlier program just now you are installing the x-loader and u-boot for your phone so your computer can "see" it. Once you've done that then you can flash with the Lelus method. But be sure to get it done right and practice if you need to.

But you will do the same thing that you did with the earlier program just now you are installing the x-loader and u-boot for your phone so your computer can "see" it. Once you've done that then you can flash with the Lelus method. But be sure to get it done right and practice if you need to.

OK thanks for clearing my confusion on the Lelus method... but I have tried both Omap... and Fastboot, my problem with fastboot is that it get to step 3 of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44325657&postcount=4&nocache=1&z=6862240654882044
My phone screen is inverted and it says fastboot, but my computer never says press any button, just stops at <waiting for device>
about 1 minute after this appears, my phone just reboots into the loop. and I've seen other people post the entire script so I know my phone, or computer is stopping right before the x-loader and u-booter, for whatever reason.

Ah, ok, ok, ok. . .Try this: bring the program up with the choices then press #5 but don't hit enter just yet. Now take your battery out and put the usb into the computer but don't connect it to your phone. Hold the cable next the plug in and hit enter. . .then it will say something like requesting omap4boot that's when you place the cable into your phone then it will go through some stuff pretty fast don't pay any attention just count in your head to 4 or 5 seconds then put your battery and wait 'till the fastboot comes up. . .that's it. once that happens your phone is u-boot and x-load ready.
After that this point sucked for me. You have to take out the battery and unplug your phone from your computer at the same time then wait 2 seconds and put your battery back in then immediately afterward hold the volume up button while inserting your cable back into the computer. . .wait for S/W upgrade mode. THEN YOU DO THE LELUS METHOD!!!

Looks like you aren't running fastboot as an admin
I am running as admin... and as a response to Nathan.7118391 BWUUAAA :eek : ,
I unplugged everything from my phone, then I press 5.
I press enter on the next page that says something about plugging out the phone and taking out the battery
Then I click Enter and plug in my phone. It goes through some things and than says " Wait 5 -lelelele
Than I put in the battery and it runs down to
** Done**
<Waiting for Device>
Does it matter that my phone is on Jellybean, or that I have an unlocked Bootloader?

You're not dumb. I don't know anything about this tablet but check to see if you find solutions here.

I agree with vanessaem.... You are not dumb at all, just a newbie. We all started out as a newbie ourselves
I just read on the forums for your device that there is a physical "Reset" button near the SD Card slot. Can you please try to stick a paperclip or pin into that hole and hold it down until the tablet reboots? I also read that these instructions may be in the manual as well.
If all else fails you can restore the tablet to defaults. I also did a quick search and came upwith the easy steps to restore it. These steps are from another forum so I will quote them since this is not my work.
I've only had this tablet a few hours, but managed to get to a point where it wouldn't boot pretty soon after rooting it. So after trying everything to get it up and running I finally managed it with ADB and fastboot, also it took from Android 4.1.1 to 4.2.1 - so here is what I did after reading various forums of problems with other Asus devices and soft-bricking other Android devices in the past - hopefully it might help someone one day.
You will need to install the Asus ADB drivers before following the steps below, if you haven't installed them you can get them here
1. Download and install Lightweight ADB and fastboot installer here from XDA
2. Create a folder called 'Fastboot' on your C: drive (it can actually be called anything but the prompts below refer to a folder with this name)
3. Download the CarePackage.zip file here and unzip the contents to C:\Fastboot, there are 4 files
4. Download your chosen firmware from the Asus web site - extract the zip file to reveal another zip, extract the second zip file, copy the 'blob' file to the Fastboot folder, there will now be 5 files in your fastboot folder
5. Reboot tablet, holding volume down, select the USB option (3rd icon) using volume down to cycle through icons and volume up to select and connect it to your PC using the USB cable
5. Run the Lightweight ADB and fastboot installer which will open the command line, enter the following commands;
c:\Fastboot
fastboot devices
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system blob
6. The following will now be displayed in the command line screen;
sending 'system' <1062567 KB> (the actual size will vary depending on the firmware selected) Also a blue bar will appear on your tablet screen showing the progress. It takes around 3-4 minutes to send the system files.
writing 'system' will then be displayed, this will take a further 3-4 minutes.
Once the files have have been sent and written the command screen will display something similar to;
finished. total time: 444.226s
7. Unplug the tablet and reboot it using the power button, you'll have a fresh install, all data, root etc will be lost.
For anyone who is struggling to recover their tablet or just actually update it I hope this helps

my android device has now only two modes / off or stoned when asus logo appears
RECOVERY twrp non reachable!
Hello there,my Wave 8 HD+ stuck in android boot logo. I downloaded the wave8hd_20151105_v1.8 update thru wireless update and install, it says error in installing:
E:error in /mnt/internal_sd/adupsfota/update.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
My tablet is now in recovery mode and cant move highlight due to no volume buttons available,i can only select the "reboot system now" option.
Any other alternative for volume button so that i could just do the factory reset??
I also followed the detailed instruction on bluewave website on how to update the said Tablet thru PC but to no avail.
i emailed both the Telecom Company from where i get my Bluewave Tablet and the Bluewave Customer support but until now they stiil haven't replied yet.
thank you very much for your immediate reply.

I did use the software Rockchip Batch Tool v1.7 provided by Bluewave in their website, install the 33GT driver for my tab(Tab can now be seen by my PC and download the correct firmware update(using my serial number at the back of said tablet) still provided by Bluewave, but still error in upgrade..
i just want to know how to change the highlighted option in recovery mode so i can wipe/factory reset my Tablet disregarding the said update..
there is an option in recovery mode "recover system from back up" but i could not choose to highlight and select the option..

hello, jho_zep, thank you so much for your reply, i am now able to move the highlight to select using my mouse, but still when i try to update from ADB, it tells me to send package to the device etc.. and i also tried to press the power button, it wont reboot the system, it would only shutdown the system.. another thing, i still cant get rid of the system update. " installing system update" then error comes in, my android is down.. i tried wipe date/ factory reset, still nothing.
Thanks in advance
Do you already solve your problem? because I have now the same problem as this.
I have pressed the wireless update then it restarted and it says an Error status 7.
I don't know what to do and how to deal with this problem.
can you help me?
My nextbook tablet rk3026 has a partition named metadata that holds the recovery boot commands. You could possibly try to wipe it and do a factory reset. I don't think it actually gets mounted so you would need to find a file the same size as the partition and dd to it. Or back up your system with rockchip flash tool then using a hex editor replace all data in metadata image with zeros. Obviously be careful. Here is a tool download with included guide credits to finless at freaktab(not sure if he is here at xda) for posting it.
http://freaktab.com/forum/developme...p-your-rk-device-rom-with-the-new-rk-2-1-tool
as always BACKUP and know if you don't do it correctly you may get a brick.
thank you for the response Destructos. but that solution won't help for my freakin weird tab 33gt HD+.
I get frustrated now
Problem solved
first thing to do is make sure that you have already installed the rkchip_usb driver in your computer.
What are the requirements?
1st of course your Tablet and Cable Connector
2nd Finless ROM Flash Tool v1.37
3rd Rokchip BatchTool v1.7
4th the update image/firmware for your Bluewave 8 HD+ that is downloadable from their official website
Steps:
1. off your tablet and connect it to the computer
2. open the Finless Rom Flash, uncheck all the boxes
3. turn ON your Tablet (be attentive) and while the blue screen is starting you may NOTICE that the ROM FLASH TOOL detected your device, it says "RKAndroid Mass Storage USB". when you have read that, press immediately the "Reboot Flash mode" and your device will in black screen. but ROM Flash tool still detected your device as "RKAndroid Mass Storage USB "
4. Open the Batch Tool, (you must know how to use it) find your image, then you will notice that the CONNECTED DEVICES below have color green, in that case you may now Click UPGRADE. wait for a minute and booooom, you device is functionable again.
have a feedback if it is helpful.
P.S.
before I go to that steps, when I am stuck in RECOVERY MODE of my device, I Click the Recover from BACKUP then my tablet restarts and it turns to BOOTLOOP and repeatedly saying NO COMMAND.

Why is it, when I do this, my tablet can't be detected by the software? I'm stuck on recovery mode. When it's on the blue logo, still does nothing.
I can only see my device when I look for it on Device Manager under Android Phone. Why is that? It doesn't show the "Other Devices". I've installed the driver but to no avail, still fails me. Please help. Thanks!
