Hello
I'd like to know if it was possible to change the notification bar on a deodexed or a custom ROM? Or take an already made notification bar from a custom rot and put it in an another one?
Thanks
Yes you can with a custom rom like CyanogenMod or Aokp

Ok, thank you.
If someone can explain me how to do it pls...or just tell me what file is the notification bar??
It's a feature of the rom. You can change the clock, the battery bar and signal, and with themes you can change layout and color. You can change the notification bar manually, by replacing files in system ui, but it's difficult for new android users
PS If i helped you hit the "thanks" button
Is there a way to modify the notification area without a custom ROM ? my phone is rooted, don't really wanna mess to much with it.

What I needed was to edit the SystemUI.apk or use an already moded apk, for anyone who might be as lost as I was, moding an apk is a really time consuming job when you're new to the game, there are plenty of already moded files in here.

Hello eveyone, could someone point me the direction of a light weight theme or just an icon apk that allows me to have colourful icons in the settings menu?
I'm looking through the market etc but just can't find anything suitable.I've tried a couple of themes but have caused phone to slow down or don't apply correctly. I idealy just want to be able to change each and every icon on the phone.
I'm on Galaxcy Ace
Ice Cream Final no tweaks
baseband WKT3

If you want to change each and every icon in your rom, then, extract your rom, then search the rom for apps and now decompile or extrace them one by one and edit the icons in them
theres no easy way doing that except to get ur hands dirty by decompiling apks and edit them one by one.

Hi,
I was reading in the dev section and read briefly about an app called onibar? which allows you to change the status bar icons. Does anybody know where I could get the app from, or know of any app which would allow me to change either the status bar icons and/or the drop down notification?
Thanks

Search for ROM Toolbox in Play Store. It does that job, very useful app. Icon Changing is under Interface options. Must be rooted ofc.
yeah, I have tried ROM Toolbox, in fact I bought the Pro version, however the mods aren't compatible with S2 yet apparently (says the dev), a couple work but not many..
I have Dragon ROM installed now, more than happy with it
Thanks for your help

This is my current Rom: PardusHDROM_S4_ED_VIII
Beside that can't this mode be used with any other roms that are 4.1+ i thought mod would be easier and helpful and wont drain battery as stand alone apps do, is main reason i wanted MOD.
Maybe some one can extract it from another ROM if they know it will work, if you know one, feel free to share, i am really desperate for this stuff i need it badly.
Cheers

Found this for the z1 and it works with the XZU. It makes the status and nav bar transparent in other launchers on the stock rom.

You cannot. At the very least you would have to be rooted as without it you do not have access to any system apps. To do it correctly you would need to be rooted and have a recovery program (either CWM or TWRP).
Thank you very much ! Was a total noob but i had to learn and search for all theses stuffs , root, recovery, etc ,but it worked ! i now have a transparent status and nav bar.
Except that i would love to be able to change the transparency depending on the theme i use. I heard about xposed and Gravity Box which is really cool, everything work except the transparency settings ....
I guess i have to deal with a Full transparent bar then .
I do have a question though, how do revert back to the stock bars in case i need ??
Thank again

Easiest way would be to take the zip u downloaded and flashed and put your old system ui in that zip and reflash it. If u didn't make a backup, I think there is one floating around here somewhere

I use XBlast Tools for Xposed. Works like a charm. I also use the SystemUI Patcher module, which increases the icon sizes for the statusbar-icons.
I think there's a module that lets you change color automatically depending on the app that's running.
Is not working on 136 monx 's rom

Since you're rooted you can change the DPI in build.brop (/system/build.prop).
If you insert a lower number everything will look smaller.
Since you're rooted you can change the DPI in build.brop (/system/build.prop)
Actually I haven't done that before. Could you explain exactly what I have to do.
Thanks for the reply.

First of all, read about build.prop and how to edit it, it's a extremely important file. You also have to backup it.
Search for something like ro.sf.lcd_density=(your actual DPI).
If the value is 240 (per example), change to 200 and reboot your device.

Download wanam xposed
U can customize each and everything u want on your notification bar status bar lock screen
It helped me
Hope it helps u
U can also set the clock and the date in the middle if u want
It looks awesome
For downloading it search for "xposed installer for galaxy grand by xda" on google
After u install installer open it and click on install framework
And u are now two steps away from it
Go to download
And download gravity box
After downloading it go to modules and tick it
Go to status bar tweaks and tweak it the way u want
Hope this helps u
Best of luck
