[TUT][ROOT] How to speed up your Xperia on ICS - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Now I will show you how to speed up your slow ICS Xperia to fast as on Gingerbread.
This works for me but that does not means that it will work for you!
Anyway lets start.
You will need Root Explorer or Solid Explorer or some app that have access to system folder and root.
1. Go to /system
2. You will find here build.prop file and open it in text editor.
3. Change this

4. Save file
5. Go to /data/dalvik-cache and delete all files,NOTE: You will get few FCs during deleting but thats normal.
6. Now quickly reboot phone.
7. Enjoy!
Now about that values you can change them to anything you want for example my U has low RAM so big heapsize slows down phone.
You can also change values to 32m and 64m or any you want but I advise to use only that three.
For optional speed up I would delete all bloatware from /system/app folder.

there's this one app "system tuner"...helps setting up even more tweaks,current setting gives me a quadrant of 3021....pretty good for xperia U on stock ics i guess!

Hmm if i change all st25a to st25i in the build.prop, does it reflect my phone to st25i?

OP, do you have any backing on specifically choosing the 42MB heap size? Is that the value in Gingerbread or are you picking it out of thin air?

WTF my /data folder is empty - where can I find this dalvik directory?
I used "System tuner" to wipe dalvik, but where can I find this directory manualy?

Reinstall busybox and check did you gave root permission to app.
