You should not post this thread in Droid RAZR Android Development.
Goto http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1622 is a correct choose.

Better with be subjective. 214 is official .215 is a leak. I'd suggest you stick with .214 if you are a newer android user.
Like others have said questions should be posted in QA. I won't be a butthole like others about it though

Both of these are leaks. .211 is the last OTA we have.

Which Dev would you choose?

So now that things seems to be moving foward(slowly), which dev would you like on board with our DX2?
My choice would be CVPCS
Which Rom would you like?
My choice would be CyanogenMod 7 of course!
Liberty!

miui.... FTWWWW MIUI HAS THE NICEST UI EVARRRR
MIUI, CM7 or liberty even tho I never used it. I used to use JRummy's roms on my OG and they were awesome. Hopefully MIUI runs nicely on a Tegra 2, because it was always laggy on my d1

+1 on that vote. However, I would like to also add it a vote for the DarkSlide team. They did wonders for my DX. I'd love to let them loose with DX2 and see what transpires. Although truth be told, once the bootloader is unlocked, it's really anybody's game at that point. Who knows what stuff could be developed once that hurdle is overcome.
This ain't android development, please post in the correct sections.

It's not that big a DUH when you consider ALL the different versions of ICS out right now, also its just common courtesy (and forum posting regulations) when on a forum like this where there are many different versions to list build numbers and whether its for the XT912 or xt910

New to the GTab

Hello everyone
Not new to rooting and romming. Plan on doing a bunch of reading and will make every attempt to refrain from asking repetitive questions. But was hoping i could get a few points in the right direction. I am currently running 3.2.
Is the jump to ICS worth it? My phone device is bionic and ICS basically turned a crappy bionic into a superphone...im hoping for a similar advancement from honeycomb to ICS.
Is there a particular " rom list" short list a few of you fine folks could recommend?
Any pitfalls to watch out for or a good thread I should read. Im going to check out all the stickies before I get going.
Thanks for the help.
I would look into jelly bean for your tab. I installed it and it was like a new device.

Cool, thanks. Is JB buggy? I know it is on the Bionic but that's with a locked bootloader and there is only one (I think) example of 4.1 in that space.

Razr may be getting jellybean after all

Just spotted this over on androidpolice, the razr and razr maxx are listed as getting jelly bean as an upgrade in the future although no date is specified.
the devices listed from the article are:
RAZR M (before 2013)
RAZR HD / MAXX (before 2013)
Atrix HD
Photon Q
Electrify 2
RAZR / MAXX
DROID 4
Bionic
XOOM (Wi-Fi and 3G/4G) (Q4 2012)

Thought I read quarter 1 2013
Why is the door on the right always locked?
Looks like they dumped us THE INTERNATIONAL USERS again. F you Motorola !
No.date was given. Idont want 4.1 as 4.2 will be announced this month. So just skip 4.1 and goto 4.2 jellybean out 5.0 key line pie would be better. After all we are og RAZR owners who otherwise would be sick on massively old os. We can't have that.

I just hope 4.1 or 4.2 or whatever it is we get had a consistent interface like 2.3.6 did. Whenever I try to cut and paste it feels like I'm using three different OSes simultaneously!
Strange they did not put the razr XT910 GSM. I hope this is also updated.

It will probably be updated but 1-3 months after US, as usual
In the motorola update page it says the razr and razr maxx will get jellybean update but no timeframe given. Im assuming late q4 2012 early q1 2013 since the RAZR hd will be getting it before the end of the year

Judging by your signature, you have a Droid Razr not a Droid X2, might want to check the Razr forums....

It depends on your son's experience with android I guess, if you want something stable with little problems I would look into CM7 or Eclipse
Which Eclipse would you be talking about? I see 2 versions.
Sent from my Droid Razr Maxx
The latest build is 2.3, that is the one I am using. I haven't tried any other versions because I have a Milestone X2 and wifi won't work with that version

Yea that's what I'm looking for....a rom that has pretty much all functions.

I've set two X2's up on CM7. They are daily drivers and have been for about a year now. I also ran Eclipse on them with no problems. CM7 has more theme/customizing features that some people like. Eclipse is very reliable.
In my opinion it's cm7 can't beat the customization:thumbup:
don't be scared it's only a phone
ogd x d2g x2 sg3
old ladies ^
I had eclipse for probably a good 6 months. I just switched over to CM7 and I LOVE it way more than Eclipse.
Pointless thread is pointless.
