So am I looking in the wrong place or am correct to believe the following.
1. There is no forum for US Cellular's Galaxy S III
2. There aren't any roms for USC GSIII
3. Most importantly there are no files to get my phone to stock if I brick it attempting to "test" some other carrier roms.

Yeah I know this isn't the place for my phone. But if it doesn't exist what forum should I post about the my GSIII?
Clearly this is the international forum but I'm wondering if anyone else knows where to find what I'm looking for or if it just really doesn't exist.
That sticky is the first thing I read and as it looks there isn't any link to redirect me towards my carrier's phone.
Verizon galaxy SIII forum is your best bet because AFAIK the USC variant is CDMA as well.

This thread belongs in Q&A.
Better yet - look at vibrant (since your from us and tmobile) forum.
Ah i get it, OP meant to say
"Which forum is right"
i think the "Witch" ROM
i lol'd
This thread is an ultra-fail. OP spelling and grammar is a mess =P
If it's the T-Mo Vibrant, go to that forum...if it's an I9000 variant, stay here. Pretty simple.
Either way, this ain't dev, so thread reported.
Im so lost lol apparantly theres about 50 galxy s phones

Yeah something like that
The US variants (TMo Vibrant, AT&T Captivate, Spring Epic, Verizon Fascinate) all have their own forums.
There are smaller carriers with US variants like CellSouth or US Cellular, no idea where they go I also don't know where the Telus Fascinate goes, but the Bell Vibrant (which is really an I9000M) and any other I9000 goes here.
Since it sounds like this is actually for a T-Mobile Vibrant instead of the i9000, I've moved it to the Q&A section for that device.
OP, please take a moment to read the following thread, for guidelines on proper thread placement, particularly regarding the dev section:

There are two variations now. My assumption is that the roms are hardware specific?
I would assume that roms or mods made for the international version should not be flashed to the US/Canada versions?
We saw these compatibility issues when Barnes and noble released 2 different variations of the nook tablet. Some Dev insight would be great.
I will be filming tutorial videos for this phone and want to make sure warnings on the videos are proper. Thanks.
Of course roms are hardware specific. No need to question that.

my point is that it leads to the next question, should xda create a separate forum section for the north american version instead of just combining both in the SIII in general

+1 For separate model numbers within Galaxy S3 forum section. This would take a lot of the confusion out which roms to flash.

They will.. as they did with galaxy s2. Wait till that device launches and they will all have their respective forums... AT&T, TMob, Veriz, This forum has even been updated from "Galaxy SIII" to "Galaxy SIII GT-I9300"

So I was looking to do a basic root and I noticed that my model number is very different then what it's "supposed" to be. I was going to do the CF-root... Am I still good to do it?
No, go to your specific carrier phone thread, never flash ROM and kernel from international Galaxy S3 for any carrier phone , they have different hardware. Better doing nothing than sorry.

What about posting questions to q&a section in the future? Anyway, you can not continue as you have one of the us versions (att if I remember correctly) with qualcomm snapdragon. Look for the us version thread.

Remove the space, i'm new here, and not allowed to post links.
Good Luck!
This one, which doesn't match spec-wise? Or the general no-forum ghetto where it would get totally ignored?

That doesn't provide an answer. There is no existing forum which matches up with the SC-06D's hardware perfectly (the closest would probably be the AT&T variant but there is a lot of difference in the bands covered), however what traffic I've seen so far has been in the I9300 forum. Same problem exists for the korean hardware.

A careful review of the chart in this post shows that there is no section for the Korean or Japanese models of the phone.
It would be nice if we could get a section created for the Japanese model. I'm also planning on picking on up soon, and it would be nice to have a place to discuss. Or, if we could figure out one of the other models that have compatible roms... (sadly, we can't collab to figure this out very effectively without our own section)

If you want to go by closest hardware type, korean model should go in I9300 forum (this is clear because its the only other model that is Exynos) and SC-06D should go in I747 AT&T forum, but you'd get comments on every thread from smartasses telling you wrong forum.

There is a clear historic bias from XDA admins against creating forums for models not sold in north american or european markets. Not even worth trying.

Any chance you could provide a link? I did some searching and couldn't track it down. Couldn't hurt to have us all request a SC-06D forum.

That may be the case, but I'd hope that as the android community grows and globalizes they would be willing to open the site up to phones from other countries. It would expand the user base of the site - good for them right?
hi everybody;
I have recently brought a i9305 and using it in Canada, however I find that my 4g signal is always low; (1 bar) and is always sittint at that (1 bar). Now is there any other modem thats better then the one that I use. currenly i try ZHALI2, and XXBLL3; they are pretty much the same
1. Asking for a best ROM is against the rules. Read them.
2. It's the 9300 section, not 9305
All I can suggest is try them, also have you tried other phones and do they get a better 4g signal? It could be the signal in your area that is the problem not the phone or modem.

This is the I9300 and I9305 forum, check the name, the only area that is different is the development forum because the roms aren't cross compatible, the general discussion is rolled into one. Check the path to this forum Home > Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 > Galaxy S III General.

You're right, I confused it with the Q&A section.
But still, you can't ask for a best ROMs on XDA

It all depends on a range of factors and only you can find the best, try them and find out, what I find the best might not be the best for you.
