[Q] Stupid question but I really want to know - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Titanium Backup is installed on my sd card.
When I go to:
Settings -> Applications -> Application settings -> Manage applications -> "On SD card" tab ,
I can see that Titanium Backup (installed on sd card) takes up 1.94 MB of space on the sd card.
But I really can't find any Titanium Backup files on the sd card that would take up 1.94 MB of space.
Where is it?? I can't find anything, even in the hidden folders...
Thanks guys!!!

Apps installed on SD card will be at location /mnt/asec
You simply can't see the app, if you browse through SD card contents from a File Manager.

All apps installed on sd card are hidden but you can see them using root explorer or any other good file explorer

i'm not a newbie
Karan128, I know all about rooting and root explorer. I really can't find them anywhere on the sd card, even on the hidden folders of the sd card.

coolsandie is right-- all apps that are installed on sd card can be found in mnt/asec

I KNOW it's on the sd card
"coolsandie is right-- all apps that are installed on sd card can be found in mnt/asec"
I know that too.
But I cannot find the files that are actually taking up space in the sd card.
Hope that's clear.

try this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wOSwiY29tLmdvb2dsZS5hbmRyb2lkLmRpc2t1c2FnZSJd
It will show what files are taking how much space, I think you can find the apps installed on sd card.

Thanks karan!!!

[Q] Titanium Restoring to ext SD

I just wiped and flashed a new ROM and restored all apps using Titanium Backup and everything went fine. However, I just checked under settings>applications>manage application>On SD Card and I can see that manny app like xpiano, fieldrunners, cap knockdown, aldiko and many other apps have been restored to my SD card. I have never moved any apps to SD so why is it being restored to SD?
Also is it better to leave them as they are or should I use Titanium to move all apps to internal memory?
SD card or external sd card ??????

Well I'm not really sure. Depends on what 'move to SD Card' does to an app when I select it under manage applications. All I know is that, when I go to settings>applications>manage application>On SD Card, I see several apps are ticked, which I believe, means they have been moved to SD card. If I then go to settings>applications>manage application>downloaded and tap on one of the aforementioned ticked apps, I only see the option to 'Move to Phone', which means it's currently on the SD Card and I never moved it there, so why did titanium restore it to the SD and not the Phone?
BUMP

Someone help... Pls

Phone memory?

Hmm my phone memory is now showing 300mb, anyone knows what app, to use to go in and manage that, memory, so I could possibly move it to my sdcard, I have root explorer, but can only find the options to move stuff from sdcard to external card please.?
I use Titanium Backup Pro... this also has the functionality to move to SDcard... apart from loads of other stuff...
EDIT : Sorry a correction... You would first need an external MicroSD card inserted into phone.. then you can move Application to SD by .... go to Settings-> Applications-> Manage applications-> open/click on any application under downloaded tab... Then click Move to SD Card
Search the market... Its bound to be there.

You are asking are you to move the phones memory ??? not applications ???.

[Q] Internal Storage expended!!!! PLS HELP!

So this should be a simple fix, but I cannot seem to free up any internal storage. I only have 75MB available, and now I can't download any more aps. Yes, I've deleted all Cache, SMS, MMS, and moved all possible apps to the SD card. I'm assuming there is a rouge folder with a bunch of crap in it somewhere?
Any ideas?!
Thanks,

As I said above, I can't download anything at this point. I'm totally stuck. I have Astro to browse, and history eraser, but that's it!
connect via usb to a computer and use storage analyser on the internal sd...delete whatever is taking up space.

[Q] Is there any way to bring MOVE APP TO SD CARD option in app manager?

I wanted to know if there is anyway to move apps to SD card or to set install location to sd1...
My internal storage is more than 80% full (almost apps but no media files)..

Download and install "Titanium Backup". Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
Open the program and click on the options button of your phone and click on batch. You'll see a number of operations followed by a run button after each one. Scroll down and you'll see "move all user apps to SD card", click on run and you are done.
Remember:
Without partitioning the SD card, you will always have part of the apps on internal. With partitioning the SD card, you can move the entire apps to SD card.

After partitioning the SD card ,phone didn't recognize the sd card
Then I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sylkat.AParted&hl=en ,and it worked for partitioning..
But Titanium backup doesn't have "move all user apps to SD card" option so I used Link2SD and Link2SD recognized the ext2 partition but after moving apps to SD card ,it says your phone doesn't support move apps to SD because its primary external memory is emulated from the interal storage..
