[Q] Titanium Restoring to ext SD - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just wiped and flashed a new ROM and restored all apps using Titanium Backup and everything went fine. However, I just checked under settings>applications>manage application>On SD Card and I can see that manny app like xpiano, fieldrunners, cap knockdown, aldiko and many other apps have been restored to my SD card. I have never moved any apps to SD so why is it being restored to SD?
Also is it better to leave them as they are or should I use Titanium to move all apps to internal memory?

Well I'm not really sure. Depends on what 'move to SD Card' does to an app when I select it under manage applications. All I know is that, when I go to settings>applications>manage application>On SD Card, I see several apps are ticked, which I believe, means they have been moved to SD card. If I then go to settings>applications>manage application>downloaded and tap on one of the aforementioned ticked apps, I only see the option to 'Move to Phone', which means it's currently on the SD Card and I never moved it there, so why did titanium restore it to the SD and not the Phone?

BUMP
BUMP!!!

[Q] Free space on internal memory

Hello,
My internal memory is about to be full due to the applications installed on the internal memory not to the SD card. Is there anyway to move the installed applications to the SD card?
I tried to do that from Application management but the move to SD card button is inactive.
Thanks
Try darktremors app2sd...
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App
DT A2SD script or use S2E.
The move to sd card option is inactive because those apps are protected apps, that is,apps that cant be moved to sd card.
If you are reluctant on rooting, then use the force install apps to sd card hack,it moves apps partially, same option when you root your phone too.
Flashing script method is recommended though,Frees up your internal memory a ton
or you can just try forcing apps to sd with titanium backup

Highly recommend S2E. Moves Dalvik Cacheto the SD freeing up about 100+MB to the SD card. And use Titanium Backup to batch move them to the SD. Make sure you select the right apps to move. If you move your theme and such to the SD, your phone will quick reboot every time you turn it on. Don't move things you're using on your phone to the SD unless they're apps.
Here are some screen shots to prove I'm not lying
Got the number of apps installed, amount of memory free and S2E working its magic ;D
I cant find on market s2e

[q] titanium backup how to move apps to sd?

I installed latest version of Titanium Backup (6.0.5). But I don't know how to move apps to sd card. There is only solution for older versions of "tb" on the Internet. Help me please :crying:
Tried long clicking on the app? There's an option "move to sd card"
No "move to sd card" option

So I have my SD card formatted both in FAT32 and ext2, but no option appears in TB to move to sd card. I'm running a "Liquid Smooth" ROM on my SGH-T999 Tmo SGS3
Any ideas what's wrong?
I have same problem....
Use menu button in right upper, scrolling down, there is option to mode/integrate app
Sent from my C2105 using xda premium
same here. I cant even get Titanium to backup apps to the SD card
Isn't there anyone with a solution to this - I'm not getting the batch action to move / integrate to SD card only the option to move/ integrate to ROM .
There is some indication from other forums that it is something to do with how the SD card is formatted but I don't know what ??

[Q] Sd Card and Internal SD Card

I just picked up a sd card today for my s4. The question I had was can I just copy all the folders and files that apps have created on the internal SD card over to the external sd card without any issues from the apps that created them? ie twrp, titanium backup etc.

Titanium backup has an option in preferences to change the folder it reads. Twrp should have a restore from ext sd option, I cant say for sure though because im a cwm user. Some data will have to stay on the internal sd card for it to be read properly or you have to use an app like folder mount to move the data.
If I helped you hit that thanks button please. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.

[Q] Is there any way to bring MOVE APP TO SD CARD option in app manager?

I wanted to know if there is anyway to move apps to SD card or to set install location to sd1...
My internal storage is more than 80% full (almost apps but no media files)..
Model: Z2 D6503
Android Version: 4.4.4 rooted
Download and install "Titanium Backup". Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
Open the program and click on the options button of your phone and click on batch. You'll see a number of operations followed by a run button after each one. Scroll down and you'll see "move all user apps to SD card", click on run and you are done.
Remember:
Without partitioning the SD card, you will always have part of the apps on internal. With partitioning the SD card, you can move the entire apps to SD card.

After partitioning the SD card ,phone didn't recognize the sd card
Then I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sylkat.AParted&hl=en ,and it worked for partitioning..
But Titanium backup doesn't have "move all user apps to SD card" option so I used Link2SD and Link2SD recognized the ext2 partition but after moving apps to SD card ,it says your phone doesn't support move apps to SD because its primary external memory is emulated from the interal storage..

Moving apps to SD card doesn't actually move anything?

Just like the title says. I enabled the "force apps to sd" in Dev Options. Tried moving a few bigger apps. I checked memory usage of the tab and the sd card and nothing changed.
1) Any ideas?
2) Would rooted apps work (App 2 SD, Titanium Backup, etc)

Try actually using these apps and keep checking what is happening to the SD card. Even if you migrate an app to the SD card, much of it remains in the main storage and only additional processes are moved to the SD card.
