[q] titanium backup how to move apps to sd? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed latest version of Titanium Backup (6.0.5). But I don't know how to move apps to sd card. There is only solution for older versions of "tb" on the Internet. Help me please :crying:

Tried long clicking on the app? There's an option "move to sd card"

No "move to sd card" option

So I have my SD card formatted both in FAT32 and ext2, but no option appears in TB to move to sd card. I'm running a "Liquid Smooth" ROM on my SGH-T999 Tmo SGS3
Any ideas what's wrong?

I have same problem....

Use menu button in right upper, scrolling down, there is option to mode/integrate app
Sent from my C2105 using xda premium

same here. I cant even get Titanium to backup apps to the SD card

Isn't there anyone with a solution to this - I'm not getting the batch action to move / integrate to SD card only the option to move/ integrate to ROM .
There is some indication from other forums that it is something to do with how the SD card is formatted but I don't know what ??

[Q] Titanium Restoring to ext SD

I just wiped and flashed a new ROM and restored all apps using Titanium Backup and everything went fine. However, I just checked under settings>applications>manage application>On SD Card and I can see that manny app like xpiano, fieldrunners, cap knockdown, aldiko and many other apps have been restored to my SD card. I have never moved any apps to SD so why is it being restored to SD?
Also is it better to leave them as they are or should I use Titanium to move all apps to internal memory?
SD card or external sd card ??????

Well I'm not really sure. Depends on what 'move to SD Card' does to an app when I select it under manage applications. All I know is that, when I go to settings>applications>manage application>On SD Card, I see several apps are ticked, which I believe, means they have been moved to SD card. If I then go to settings>applications>manage application>downloaded and tap on one of the aforementioned ticked apps, I only see the option to 'Move to Phone', which means it's currently on the SD Card and I never moved it there, so why did titanium restore it to the SD and not the Phone?

[Q] Stupid question but I really want to know

Hi guys,
Titanium Backup is installed on my sd card.
When I go to:
Settings -> Applications -> Application settings -> Manage applications -> "On SD card" tab ,
I can see that Titanium Backup (installed on sd card) takes up 1.94 MB of space on the sd card.
But I really can't find any Titanium Backup files on the sd card that would take up 1.94 MB of space.
Where is it?? I can't find anything, even in the hidden folders...
Thanks guys!!!

Apps installed on SD card will be at location /mnt/asec
You simply can't see the app, if you browse through SD card contents from a File Manager.
All apps installed on sd card are hidden but you can see them using root explorer or any other good file explorer
i'm not a newbie
Karan128, I know all about rooting and root explorer. I really can't find them anywhere on the sd card, even on the hidden folders of the sd card.
coolsandie is right-- all apps that are installed on sd card can be found in mnt/asec
I KNOW it's on the sd card
"coolsandie is right-- all apps that are installed on sd card can be found in mnt/asec"
I know that too.
But I cannot find the files that are actually taking up space in the sd card.
Hope that's clear.
try this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wOSwiY29tLmdvb2dsZS5hbmRyb2lkLmRpc2t1c2FnZSJd
It will show what files are taking how much space, I think you can find the apps installed on sd card.
Thanks karan!!!

[Q] No "move app to sd card" in settings menu? can we even do this?

Im noticing with my new ham2 I cant move the apps to my 32gb micro sd card? I thought this was allowed on android 4.3? There just literally is no option in the app settings menu where it usually is. Also the 3rd party app apps2sd doesnt work either? Help?! Lol
Same here. I tried app2sd, link2sd, foldermount, titaniumbackup.
None works.
I used one of the 148 backups posted in another thread and it changed my external 64 GB card to internal memory and the phones internal became external. I have no idea why but it works great, hell if I knew how it happend I would do it to all my android devices.
solved
I got it working. So in settings>Storage right at the top "Default storage location" select sd card. Yes everything will now by default download and save to the sd card. But now the option for move to sd isnt greyed out and you can also move back to phone if your tired of evrrything dumped to the sd.
i know this is old thread. Maybe there has been a update since it was created. But on mine. After unlock and root. I installed link2sd. It works fine. My phone l03 is set to internal in settings.

[Q] Is there any way to bring MOVE APP TO SD CARD option in app manager?

I wanted to know if there is anyway to move apps to SD card or to set install location to sd1...
My internal storage is more than 80% full (almost apps but no media files)..
Model: Z2 D6503
Android Version: 4.4.4 rooted
Download and install "Titanium Backup". Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
Open the program and click on the options button of your phone and click on batch. You'll see a number of operations followed by a run button after each one. Scroll down and you'll see "move all user apps to SD card", click on run and you are done.
Remember:
Without partitioning the SD card, you will always have part of the apps on internal. With partitioning the SD card, you can move the entire apps to SD card.

After partitioning the SD card ,phone didn't recognize the sd card
Then I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sylkat.AParted&hl=en ,and it worked for partitioning..
But Titanium backup doesn't have "move all user apps to SD card" option so I used Link2SD and Link2SD recognized the ext2 partition but after moving apps to SD card ,it says your phone doesn't support move apps to SD because its primary external memory is emulated from the interal storage..

How to move app to sd with root ?

Hi,
I've rooted my SPG511 under LP (A.1.28 build) in order to move app to sd but I can't find a way to do it despite beeing rooted. I've try "Move to SD" in system settings, but it move only a small part of the app on SD card, and move the rest to internal SD card.
Is there a way to move entire app (or at least major part) to SD card on rooted Lollipop ?
