My device detect my wireless modem with Wifi till 2day ago and anything is ok but now dosent work,i mean its detected with modem and its look working and symbol send and receive under wifi symbol is shown but even open google site or anything that worked by wifi.just wifi has this problem my simcard network its ok and working.i change the rom and doing wipe and format but its no change and still has problem

1)reset ur wifi router once and then try connecting to it after deleting ur exsisting wifi netwrk on ur phone.
2) if issue still persists then change ur kernel and see

i do both of them but still this promblem i cant downlload anything even google dosent open :crying:

Like the name says. Im running Gingercruzt and i can't connect to our wifi for some reason. Even my friend's CM7.1 can connect to it we're both at KPH modem
Well, I've been using KQ5 and wifi has been working charming for me! Try flashing a diff baseband Cheers!

try to whitelist your phone in modems mac filter...it did solve my problem!!!
Thank god, I read these issues many times & my ace's Wi-Fi works fine! I did have Wi-Fi error while turning it on though on stock ROM. But when it got on, it connected to every Wi-Fi.
i also use the gingercruzt n have no probs with wifi..
may be u should check ur wifi settings first, something like authentication, uncheck the use static ip option, etc..

I've got a strange problem with this x10i phone, I'm not the owner of this phone, but someone I know gave it to me cause she thougt the phone was dead, I dont know what problem she experienced because after I put the phone to the charger it just booted like there was no problem. One problem that I encountered after I turned the phone on though is that my homes wifi network is not showing in the network list. I do not have this problem on my own samsung galaxy 3 and since I'm not familliar with this phone I'm not sure what to do. I want to help the girl who owns this phone out by putting some usefull apps on it, so does anyone know how to solve this problem? The phone is running on stock Android 2.1 Eclair.

I don't know if Your samsung can see the Ad-hoc network, so it would be better to check it. If it isn't an ad-hoc network it may be a ROM problem. I would suggest You to install the stock ROM 2.3.3 for now with SEUS.
P.S. Doing that will erase all of the phone data (not the sdcard)

Next problem...
The phone doesn't seem to get connected to my pc via usb. It starts charging but there is no usb icon or anything like that. I'm on Windows 7 64bit with Sony PC Companion installed, the same problem happens on a 32bit XP. I connected with a usb micro cable that was laying around, not with the official cable that came with the phone, could that be a problem? Anyway, anyone got a solution?
Edit: The usb port didn't make contact very well I think because when I pushed it in further it showed the icon and I'm able to connect to pc
Just succesfully updated the phone to 2.3 stock firmware (wich hurted my fingers because I had to push in the usb cable the whole time ) The problem with the wifi still persists, wifi networks from the neighbourhood showing up, but my home network isn't... Any more suggestions?
Edit: figured it out myself at last, phone didn't see my own network because it was on channel 13. I've changed the channel to 4 in the router and now it works just fine

Have you recently done anything to your Titan or is it still AT&T stock?

I have the same problem!!
I only have 4G access... can't see any wifi networks and no mac address to be found on the phone.
Any fix for this?

Umm, on Windows phones you just go to Settings>About>More Info and it shows the MAC.
Same issue with my Titan II
Has any one tried flashing the stock ROM back and checked ? ?

i tried flashing the stock rom that was posted on another thread. did not work, just erased all my data. Anyways if you have a good data plan it shouldnt b a problem. for apps that need wifi to download, what i do is connect my phone to zune and the computer's internet connection is used to download the apps. not sure if it works for browsing also, but you can try.
Hey Guys .... I am new to this forum .. hope i will find the solution to my problem ... I am using Sony Xperia U . my WiFi used to work fine on gingerbread 2.3.7 ... I updated it to ICS via flash tool the WiFi was still working fine on it ... but then i did not liked the ics update so I downgraded via flash tool ..then the WiFi is not able to detect my neighbor's WiFi ... while my Iphone is able to detect it and connect to it ..... my XU is detecting other WiFi s ... but not detecting that single WiFi ... i flashed it ... did a factory reset but no luck ... so i upgraded it ICS via flash tool again... but it is still not detecting the WiFi ... so I downgraded it again .... if there is a problem with the neighbor's WiFi device then how is my iphone detecting it ... I tried lots of apps like WiFi-analyze Wi-eye and lots more but they are not not showing it either ... i also added it manually in my WiFi list but it says not in range ... please help ...
Is there any possibility that the Neighbour has blocked your Phone from accessing his Wifi ? Maybe with a mac id block or something ? I cant think of any other reason that the issue should arise. Unless the network is an Adhoc one. Stock Roms dont allow connecting to Adhoc networks. Possibly you installed a mod or something in your previous rom to support Adhoc ?

my previous rom was the stock one ... so in the stock rom it was able to detect it and connect to it ... even in the ics which i had installed it after that .... and last night my phone was able to detect the WiFi and connect to it ... but now it is not detecting it ... and i don't think that they had blocked me or something ... and they don't even have a mac ....
If thats the case, then I think only possibility is h/w issue or maybe loss of signal (not related to your changing rom).. Maybe someone else might know how to solve it Sorry I cant suggest anything better Maybe someone else might have a clue
