I am on CM10 and all the instructions on how to get into this mode are based on Touchwiz. How do I get into diag mode without going back to stock?

Okay, so I had installed the latest MIUI rom, after rooting my phone, but then got stuck in a boot loop so I decided to flash back to stock rom, during this Odin crashed and now my phone is stuck with this icon which I'm sure you guys know about. The problem I have is I had turned off debugging mode on my phone earlier on after I rooted, so now I can't exactly flash it back to stock rom or anything with Odin, the Recovery mode doesn't work anymore, everything just brings up the phone..!..PC symbol. I can however go into download mode. Just not sure what I can do with it with debugging turned off.
What do I do?

When you connect the phone to your pc, does odin show that it is connected? i.e. a block turns yellow?
It detects the phone properly, it gives an error though when it reaches the writing stage, and hits a Red Failed icon in the first bar.
I am no expert but wouldn’t a USB jig Help get into download mode?
As I mentioned I can already get into download mode, but I don't know what to do from there, seeing as I had debugging mode off before my phone started this whole mess.
Oh sorry, I misunderstood.
I cannot help you mate, because I am relatively new to all of this, but I am sure that someone will be able to help you out. From what I have read as long as the phone shows signs of life (in your case the "phone ! pc" symbol) it can be recovered.
Keep your hopes up, all the best to you!

Nothing to do with flashing .
Your choices are
Remove battery replace boot phone to download mode install stock rom.
Or enter recovery mode and factory reset .
USB jig is supposedly not working for download mode on SGS2 if three button will not enter download mode .
Or remove custom rom and root and zero rom counter return phone under warranty .
Or return under warranty and take your chance .

Have an AT&T Galaxy S2, was able to get into both recovery mode and download mode fine prior to install of Android 4.0.3. Following install of Ice Cream Sandwich, neither the back or search key works, and screen does not auto-rotate, and no longer have root. Try to go into recovery mode, just goes straight to Samsung logo and loads home screen. Have tried all combinations of volume and soft keys, nothing works. Can't do it through ROM manager because I lost root privilege. Anybody have any ideas of how I can make this work? I used android commander, can get into recovery mode but not download mode, which doesn't help for going back to stock ROM. Help, please.
Did you flash an I9100 ICS on your I777? That may have flashed a secondary bootloader? That would change the button configuration for entering download mode.
Buy, build or borrow a jig. It should put you into download mode.
Hi guys
Am on litening rom 3.6, Flashed siyah kernel this morning and now I cant boot the phone, enter recovery mode or download mode either. Please help
Bootloop thread.
Edit - Fixed link.
As I said, I cant enter recovery or download mode
Service centre job or JTAG in that case. Personally speaking, I'd persevere for a bit & keep trying to get into download mode. I'd probably try a jig as well. But if the phone won't boot & you have no download mode or recovery, there is no magic fix.
f##k! this has never happened before, why now? I only used an update through lrtoolbox
would a usb jig get it into download mode?
Maybe. And definitely worth a try as I said in my last post given nothing else has worked.
Hi, today I tried to downgrade my Galaxy S3 from Cyanogen 12 to stock firmware (So from Lollipop to Jellybean) but now it's stuck on the bootsceen and I can't access the recovery mode, I can just access download mode.
Hi Hencick - Welcome to XDA.
I'll just naturally assume that you're familiar with flashing roms...
Were you running a custom kernel with CM?
Can you access adb functions with a pc?
I have a similar problem on my phone I discovered today. I just get the Samsung logo on screen, it goes off, then comes back (bootloader loop i guess).
It was just sitting on charge. It hasn't done anything for a while other than updates, now when I come to it, it's like this.
I can't get into recovery mode, adb mode, download mode or anything. Just the Samsung logo flashing up, then going and coming back up.
Is this recoverable?
As it it keeps powering up, then off, then back up I'm not even sure I can use Odin on it.
TIA.
Edit: Ok, I can get it into download mode it seems. Only, now I'm not sure what to do! lol
My galaxy S9+ is only booting into download mode, even if i let the battery run out and charge it, it will only go to download mode booting up. No buttons are stuck. If i'm in download mode and try the volume down + power button to cancel it only boots onto the Samsung screen then back to download mode. I have also tried to get to recovery mode to hard reset it and it fails to go into recovery then boots straight back to download mode, i'm not sure what to do. I have not flashed anything on it, its been completely stock mostly because the US version boot loader cannot be unlocked. Would i be able to flash the stock firmware while it is in download mode and if so how can i do it on Linux. Ubuntu 18.04 doesn't recognize my phone plugged in either, not sure if its because its in download mode or its Ubuntu. Also have tried running an android recovery tool in wine inside of Linux but it wont recognize my phone is plugged in either i'm sure because its only an emulator for programs not an actual virtual machine. Any suggestions?? If need be I can get to a windows machine.
