Display blinking when the unit is turned off?? - Huawei MediaPad, T-Mobile SpringBoard

I've had this unit for a few months. Here is the issue: the display blinks with backlighting LED on when the unit is completely turned off.
This drains the battery faster than when it's just asleep. I currently have the new official Tmobile ICS unrooted on it, but even when it was rooted or with stock version, this issue was still there.
Anybody else noticed the same thing? do I have a lemon?
Thanks

[Q] How to turn off screen while charging? 2.1

I upgraded the firmware of my Xperia X10 to 2.1
The new firmware supports charging while the mobile is switched off. But the problem is that while charging like this the screen back light continuously glows. Is there any way to shut down the screen back light after certain amount of time?
You can hardly describe it as "glowing", turn it over if it's really that big of a deal.
what he means its the background light stays on..............that background light drains more battery actually........what you can do is the old way.......phone turned on, screen off in flight mode....

Then there is a problem with the phone if it's completely switched off and the backlight stays on.

I think thats the only way we can charge our xperia's battery in a better way till someone finds any work around for the back light issue while charging the switched off mobile.

SGS II Acting Odd!

Hey guys, hope some one can help me.
Firstly, this all started a week after I installed the MIUI ROM. I started noticing that when my battery was fully charged the screen would start flickering unless I took the charger off, other symptoms included loss of battery life and continuous green fully charged notification on the top left corner asking me to remove charger, and even when that's done, the notification wouldn't disappear.
I then flashed a stock ROM hoping that might fix things, but it didn't. When turning the device on, I also get a recharging battery icon that blinks with a drained battery icon and a yellow exclamation sign with a thermometer. Check video below:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_SXjEw2wyU
As for the screen flickering when fully charged issue, I stopped using the included Samsung charger and used one my Atrix chargers to see if I get the same flickering, oddly enough I didn't. So it would seem the Samsung charger is to blame.
It's really annoying me now, I get about a 4 and half hours a day before the phone completely dies on me, and that's without even using the device. If I get to work at 7am, the battery will be dead by 11:30am.
I noticed others have had similar problems although not the same, and this hasn't been addressed before, here's links to users with similar problems:

[Q] Red light constantly on

Hi.
My wife has an international SGS3 and the other day she let it fully discharge. After charging up completely the notification light is constantly on with a red color. No matter what we do, it's always on and sometimes it gets mixed with other colors. I've rooted the phone and gone into CWM and the light is still on, so this is not software/kernel/rom related. I tried resetting the battery stats but no luck.
Can someone help me ? I think that somehow the battery got into a charging state and, even after being fully loaded, it still reports as being charged.

[Q] Problems since installing CM7 on HTC Merge

The first time I've allowed my battery to get very low since installing CM7 on my HTC Merge and I'm now having all sorts of problems.
Firstly my screen won't light up. It's just completely black. The phone is on and the 4 buttons at the bottom light up but that's all. The phone is still responding to my touch as I can load apps and hear noises if I happen to touch the correct parts of the screen. It's almost as if the brightness has been turned way down, but I'm unable to see the controls to try turning it up again. I have tried booting to recovery mode but that doesn't display either.
Secondly the battery won't charge. Since the battery is drained I can only get the phone on when it is plugged in, but the orange "charging" led at the top of the phone never lights up. It just casually flashes like it ordinarily would have done when it was running from the battery. I have two batteries and they're both doing this.
I can't be 100% sure that these problems are due to the installation of CM7 but I've never experienced it before so i'm guessing they're connected.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can get my phone working again.
It's also worth mentioning that it is also no longer recognised by my computer
Sounds like a hardware fault, if you have the same issues in recovery as you do in your os then its very unlikely its ROM/software related
I don't your device nor have I taken it apart so its only guesses I could give you on which component needs to be replaced, LCD or flex cable are best guesses
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Want to update on this as I've just had another look at it after a while.
With the battery having completely drained, I connected the phone to charge via my PC and the orange charge light lit up and the phone went into recovery mode without any assistance from me. After about 2 seconds the screen went off again.
When the battery has charged sufficiently, I am once again able to turn the phone on and it boots up... but the screen remains blank.
If I discharge the battery and then plug it into my PC, I am able to repeat the appearance of the recovery screen, but it always vanishes before I am able to do anything.
The screen must be surely be functional or how would I get those 2 seconds of display ?
Does anybody have any ideas of what I can do to get the phone working again?
I acquired a new battery and after fitting it the phone immediately worked again. The battery was completely without charge but the phone charged it up without any problems. However, as soon as the power ran low the same thing happened; the screen has stopped working and the battery doesn't seem to charge anymore.

Mate 10 pro green screen

So today I was on checking something on my phone when it suddenly shuts down. I thought it was overheating again but when i checked, the phone temp wasn't even warm at all. I tried turning it back on, it got a green screen with 2 smaller boxes (red and blue) no text. Then it turned off and now my phone wouldn't turn on at all. I tried charging it but the led light did not even turn on. The phone wasn't even low on battery to begin with. The battery was at 60+% when it turned off.
Days ago i updated the phone then it started overheating. It also started having issues with the headphone and the charger (posted about this in another thread.) Now it's just dead.
Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know what I did wrong or what to do next. As much as possible i don't want to replace the phone, at least not yet. I will be traveling overseas tomorrow and i really need it.
did you ever find out the solution to this problem? My Huawei Mate SE started doing this to me today and idk what to do!!!
