[Q] Problems with the installation of real ics 6.0 - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hello comunity, First of all, I have a WT19 with ICS original + root +version .587. (I have block boot)
I do this, when i try to install the real ics:
1. Mode cwm
2. wipedata/factory reset
3. wipe cache partition
4. Go to advanced: Wipe dalvik cache y (not BATTERY STATS, i donĀ“t know why)
5. Go to mounts and storage: format /cache, format/data y format /system (no FORMAt /SD-EXT, i don't know why too)
6. Next I install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard y begin the installation of realics6.zip.
7. Next i go to REBOOT SYSTEM NOW.
NOTE: I do all of this, but THE BIG PROBLEM:crying:, is when my phone start with the OS, just stay in the image of SONY. And restart and restart....and just stay in the image of sony.
Someone can help me?? Thks a lot!

Usually, i only wipe data, cache, dalvik, n battery.
Never format system. N never got any problem.
Just reflash stock .ftf

He said he has a locked bootloader, and the Real ICS is supposed to work on both locked and unlocked bootloaders, you even have an option to pick whether yours is locked or unlocked during installation.
I have the same problem. My LWW device has blocked bootloader (unlock not allowed), and was running rooted stock 4.0.4 .587 prior to update.
After installing Real ICS r5.2 I'm stuck on the Sony logo.
After installing Real ICS r6 it gets stuck in a bootloop (Sony logo-->Boot animation-->Restart)
Luckily I can still boot into recovery and restore my rooted stock ICS. Later I will try flashing the Real ICS Lite version, though I really wanted the full version.
Since I cannot post in the development section I'm asking you guys to help, please.
Additional info:
- I wiped user data, cache, dalvik cache before updating.
- I don't want to unlock my bootloader (again the Real ICS is supposed to work on locked BL too)
- Yes my stock ICS was rooted, had CWM Recovery installed, backups created.
EDIT: Problem solved, apparently you need to manually format /system along with /data, /cache and /dalvik cache before flashing!

You mean real ics? Okay please update to ics like explained here first. After that get cwm.
Download the rom and put it on sd card.
1. Reboot in cwm
2. "install zip from sd card" > "choose zip"> choose the installation zip
3. wipe data/factory reset
4. Wipe cache partition
5. advanced > wipe dalvik cache
6. Reboot
That's it. Should work
No, you can't install cusrom ics with gb kernel, you should upgrade stock rom ics, root, install cwm, wipe everything, install cusrom real ics, done..

I just meant as you said wipe all that's wrong. Don't wipe or format /system. He just shouldn't do anything like format system. Just that he doesn't think "wipe all" = "system, data, cache, dalvik cache, etc"

[SOLVED][Q] Problems while installing custom rom for BL

I own wt19i running stock 4.0.4 .587 on stock kernel 2.6.32.9-perf and I have locked bootloader.
I rooted it without problems and installed CWM. Yesterday I tried to flash icecream pureness V4 by sandy7 (for both BL), everything went ok, i cleared everything in CWM and in aroma picked my phone + locked bootloader, but after restart my phone stuck on sony logo...
I did tried to do it second time but result was the same. So i thought it may be problem with rom zip, so i tried to flash jjHybriD AOSP ROM by stanlin salu (again for both BL). This time phone passed through sony logo and stucked on walkman animation. For the third time I was forced to flash stock room via flashtool.
So what did I wrong/what could get wrong? I made root -> installed CWM -> wiped everything in CWM -> installed rom locked BL with success -> fail
Bonus question: do stock GB and ICS use same kernel? Becouse in topics about downgrade from ICS to GB I can't see anything about changing kernel.
greets
meql
Don't just wipe everything in cwm, see what's told in the thread of the rom
E.g. sometimes you get a bootloop if you wipe /system when it's not required!

For Locked BL
get root and cwm
go to cwm
wipe every thing(including factory data cache system dalvik cache)

Every one reported that its working on locked bl..
Try again.
Make sure u are on .587
Wipe factory
Cache
System
And dalvik cache.
And than flash the rom
Select ur device in aroma installer.
For small apps..
It should be flashed after the rom boots up into homescreen..

[Q] How to install this rom? xD

Hi guys, you can tell me how to install this rom? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012666
What kernel should I use for better results?
I think like any other rom...
Put it into your sd-card, reboot to CWM and do the wipes(Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, format system) and the install the .zip
But first of all you should flash the kernel which is given in the download(together with the rom)
AW: [Q] How to install this rom? xD
I think he better should not format system
Just wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache and advanced -> wipe dalvik cache!
Sent from my Nexus 7 running Android 4.2.1
I'm doing it everytime I flash a new rom
Nothing wrent wrong :fingers-crossed:
Any ICS kernel is compatible. I strongly recommend MESA Hybrid v3.5 or LuPuS v3. I also recommend to format system before flashing new ROM. I've done it over 100 times safely. You'll avoid a lot of problems.

I think he should first do it without wiping system and incase it was required and he stuck in a bootloop, then he can simply do the process again with wiping system
Press THANKS if I helped,
Regards,
AJ
I tried the rom(with rage kernel 3.2), and always go in bootloop
make sure u already have ur ROM on sdcard and the others (wifi-fix.zip or whatever)
on CMW, u can safely wipe /system when u wanna flash new ROM, but REMEMBER not to reboot your phone AFTER u wipe /system. if u do this, u will see "new boot kernel animation" a.k.a BOOTLOOP.
after wipe /system,/cache,/dalvik,/data,/sd-ext then next thing is install ur ROM.
if u using TWRP, its not necessary to wipe /system bcoz TWRP will wiping /system by itself when u install new ROM.

[Q] Pushing roms to Neo V fail

I 've rooted a Neo V I have with locked bootloader. Everything' s fine, until I try to push a new rom.
I 've tried 3 so far, and it's always stuck in the "sony" logo. ROM poster says it's for locked bootloaders as well. Moreover, the CWM no longer works so I 'm forced to restore using Sony tools and go through all the entire process again, rooting, installing CWM and restore the previous backup.
Am I missing something obvious here? Should I try with unlocked bootloader instead and a custom kernel?
(is there some dangerous thing about unlocked bootloader If I flash a bad kernel?)
Best Regards.
Maybe your not flashing the rom properly..you need to wipe evrythin..format evrythin nd flash...
mention the steps your doing..
for locked bootloader...CWM gets wiped when you format system..thats just how it is...
well..if you don't care bout warranty..then go ahead and unlock your bootloader...
and the kernels which developers make are obviously tested...so I doubt there would be a dangerous kernel..
Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe Dalvik cache. Install ZIP from SD card.
What else would be required?
which rom u try to flash ????

Technically
Wipe data
Wipe cache
Wipe Dalvik cache
Format data
Format system
Format cache are the essential wipes!
But some steps maybe additional depending on Rom concerned

What android version are you using?
Keep in mind, GB roms need GB kernel, ICS ROMs need ICS kernel. If you were on GB for example and flashed a ICS rom although it is for locked boot loader you will end up in a boot loop.
On locked boot loader formating your system partition will end up in losing cwm.
Unlock your boot loader via test point and you are free. With a unlocked boot loader using a custom kernel you will keep root and cwm mostly. Almost all custom kernel come prerooted and cwm integrated.

I't all started when i tried to install a custom rom (Zelly Cream to be exact) on my xperia neo. Before installing it, i first rooted it with a locked bootloader and all was fine. Then i proceeded to install the custom rom. Before installing it, i -
1. Wipe data/factory reset.
2. Wipe cache partition.
3. Wipe dalvic cache under advanced menu.
4. Wipe battery stats under advanced menu.
5. Format data under mount and storage menu.
6. Format system under mount and storage menu.
7. Format cache under mount and storage menu.
8. Install zip from sd card.
Then i entered aroma installer and all was fine until the first boot when it just went to the sony boot screen and it would just bootloop from there. The main problem is that i cant get into recovery even though how mush i try. I made a nandroid backup before doing all of this and i wish to restore this backup. I am new to all of this stuff so please PLEASE help. I don't know what to do. BTW flashtool would just say device disconnected when i connected the phone to it. I'm running ics 4.0.4. Thanks in advance..

You needed to flash mt11i stock firmware to increase system partition size... And cwm is gone since you formatted system... Now You can flash with Flashtool to get back to stock which you seem to have problems with... Try SEUS...

Thanks for the reply. Just as you said, i tried seus but i couldn't enter fastboot mode. Everytime when i press the back button and connect the phone to the pc, it would just boot up into sony boot logo and bootloop from there...
My Bad
My bad. I was doing it the wrong way to boot up in fastboot. Now i can finally try seus. Thanks again for the reply:silly:
