Hello, I'm using a HTC HD2 with ICS and was running low on internal memory. With Titanium backup i attempted to convert Trebuchet 0.1 to a user app and move it to SD card. Now when i switch the phone on it just hangs on the startup animation. I can't access anything, although it can still receive calls. How would I restore it factory default?
Please tell me you have a spare launcher installed...

I suppose that if you have forgot USB debugging checked, then you can try to install another launcher via ADB.

Have you tried a different usb port? Do you have a different cable to try?
Tried everything nothing worked so tmobile is sending me a new phone this week. Now I have to find a way to get my files and settings to new phone.

Install a file manager to copy all of the files from the internal sd to your external sd.
Install Titanium backup from the market to backup all settings and apps.
Upgrade your new phone to the same version you have on your current phone and then restore the backup with Titanium and then either leave the copied files on the external sd or place them back onto the internal sd by using the file manager again.
Done and done!
That sux but at least tmobile is willing to switch it out for ya. Just do a nandroid bro and pull the backup file. When you get ur new phone root it and flash whatever rom ur nandroid is. Replace backup file, restore nandroid and u should be good to go. Just make sure u are on the same type of firmware as the restore, if ur backup is 2.2.1 and u are running a 2.1 Rom when you try to restore ur gonna bootloop. Good luck!

In Cyanogen Mod settings under lockscreen, my brother disabled the slide to unlock feature, so when I try to unlock the phone I see the lockscreen, but there is no type of slider at all on the lockscreen. Is there anyway to bypass the lockscreen without having to do a factory reset/data wipe?? Thanks
Well out of 4 settings for lockscreen, he would have had to enable one to disable the other. Is there absolutely nothing showing on your lockscreen? Like a circle or something?

When he had disabled it, he selected trackball to replace unlock slider, but the LG thrill doesn't have a trackball

Download the CyanogenMod ROM zip again, take out and reinsert your phone battery, boot into recovery, make a nandroid backup, connect the phone to a computer and choose 'toggle USB storage', transfer the CyanogenMod zip file to SD card, install CyanogenMod again. Now see if the lockscreen is back to normal. If not, you'll have to boot back into recovery, wipe data cache & system and install CyanogenMod. This will be a fresh install, after you install it download Titanium backup from Play Store, and choose the option to restore data from nandroid backup. You can selectively restore apps and data instead of restoring the whole thing, which will reactivate the previous lockscreen setting.
Note: Your data will be safe in the nandroid backup, so worst case you can just restore it and go back to the way your phone is now and look for another solution.

I didn't know that titanium backup could restore from nandroid backups. Thanks for the info. He's up and running again.

hey there, every time i reboot my phone, half my homepage icons disappear. They are still in the main app windows and i can copy them back to the home page until next reboot.
the phone is a roots stock S2. i think it started after i ran a batch "move to sd" on all apps in titanium backup pro - i suspect this maybe the cause but what's the fix?
thanks

Move them back to internal storage.
Reboot and clear cache and advanced/dalvik in CWM Recovery.
Done

sounds easy (ish) except i don't know which ones to move back! Do you know _why_ it is happening?

If you use Titanium backup again & use the batch operation to move back (all!) your user apps to internal memory, this should resolve your missing icons problem!
As post above, but you can choose to select which app to move.
Any widget or shortcut etc stored on your sdcard will not run on boot as it's a different partition and some apps are not written to do so.
So just select (check/uncheck) those to move back (or all of them) and then recreate the shortcut after.
1. Batch / move user apps to internal memory / select apps / run
2. Maybe reboot and wipe cache and Dalvik in recovery.
3. Setup shortcuts etc

Hello,
I was a little dumb while cleaning my fresh installation of WanamLite 6.6 EMD2, because I uninstalled the stock gallery app of Samsung.
Now I'm not able to set any lockscreen wallpaper, Quickpick is also not working. All I'm able to choose pictures for the lockscreen is the Wallpaper pack of Samsung, bleh.
Could someone send me the stock gallery of 4.1.2 EMD2 please?
If you have the wanam lite rom, you have the gallery already.... in the zip

I just found the "SamsungCamera.apk", moved it to my SD card and tried to install it with ES File Explorer.
It failed to install. :crying:
Edit: I found following app: "SecGallery2_Galaxy.apk" - I'm sure this is the stock gallery.
Could someone tell me how to install it? A normal installation is failing.
They're not installable. You have to put them where you removed them.
Reflash the rom. Its light enough as it is. You can use titanium to freeze things. Its safer as you can defrost them

1. They are, I just made it. Thanks to your tip at 2.
I extracted the gallery app, moved it to system\app\ (after I enabled root and write access in ES File Explorer) and did a dalvik cache and cache wipe.
The app is working again now, hooray!
3. There is still too much Samsung bloat for me.
1 and 2 are different things.

i have searched up and down for some one with a similar issue. i have recently rooted and flashed a rom, i had a few failed attempts with twerp flashing a rom so gave up and flashed back to stock and file transferring is still messed up. only way to get data on my phone is to download it directly to my phone using my phone (roms through xda app)
i am currently running synergy rom fully rooted.
any help or ideas would help.
i have re re re re re installed samsung drivers a ton. i even went as far to install kies..
i have even restored the dell computer i have.. and made sure everything is up to date.
i have posted a screen of the
"Cannot copy item..." notification i get.
UPDATE-
so i tried putting the file in a folder and transferring it and it worked,,, wtf.
still my question is out there,,, is this a hidden android thing that will be on new devices??? or is this the computers fault? should i do a compleate restore to stock on this computer
?
I was having a similar issue and found that apps like titanium backup may restore a system app from another rom that would make my phone act like your phone. Do you use titanium backup?

i actually do use ti.. but not yet on this phone. i found that simply placing the file in a folder and then copying works. for whatever reason.
