I have a problem with SXU screen. First I have some kind of "bleeding screen" on the left edge of screen. In my country (Serbia) in Sony service center (ComTrade) told me that is a normal and that my complaint not justified. I also have one green stuck pixel in lower right angle of screen. I noticed it 6 days after purchase. But Sony service center and retailer didn't want to acknowledge the complaint. They told me that one or two defective pixels is acceptable. What's worse this is the third Xperia U phone that I have a problem with him. The first one I returned because of 4-5 defective pixels. The second one I returned because it was totally dead. And now one stuck pixel. It amazes me the Sony quality control check and after-sales service, at least in my country. I know that first problem I can't solve but what about stuck pixel. Any solution? Phone is old 3 weeks. Please help!!!
Some kind of "bleeding screen", is it normal?

I've got the same "bleeding screen" issue, but i really don't mind it, i think it's normal.
And I think that stuck pixels are kinda normal thing, you can try "waking" them up by some LCD checking apps, which display RGB colors on your screen fastly - i had frozen pixel issue on my psp and it worked. To sum up - sony don't have to take that under warranty.

"bleeding screen" is not an issue, that's the way LCD's are glued...that's ok.
I have one dead pixel and Sony say the warranty covers only up to 4 dead pixels...well, screw them
Akso my screen is bleeding

This is the corner where the light bleed issue is.
What are the chances that a stress point from bad manufacturing can cause this?
I've sent the unit back to ASUS servicing centre and their engineers are checking whether its user fault or manufacturing. (i'm pretty damn sure my bed didnt do this while i'm showering).
I've seen LCD damage that was a result of impact and it had crack lines from the impact point. Any suggestions/opinions on how this came about?
man that **** looks weird... no damage on the outside at all?
and you sure no one dropped it while you were in the shower?
Aww That is a cracked lcd panel. In my experience warranty never covers this, sadly... Guess you have to try to argue with Asus, if you`re 100% sure it wasn`t dropped etc.

This.
Sucks. Have a dog? Cat? GF? LCDs don't crack under normal usage. Was it exposed to the humidity from the shower?
doublepost
i was the only one at home at that time .. sigh.
The problem with my S2 is that when the phone gets cold the screen starts flickering then the screen it's all "blueish" and the text becomes unreadable like the resolution is very low. It started doing this thing rarely and now it appears frequently. I am not able to post the video link here because I am a new user. Please search "Galaxy S2 Screen problem". I will post a picture also (sorry for the bad quality).
These are the picutres, first one at full brightness and the second at the lowest brightness.

Hardware issue.
If the phone is under warrenty, return it and insist to get a new one. If possible, reproduce this issue at the store/service center.
If the warrenty is over, use nuke scripts (both ROM and kernel scripts), reflash the device to perfectly stock condition and see if there's an improvement. I, personally, doubt it but it's worth a shot. If still the problem persists, take it to repair.

It's the same as I og into recolvery, so the ROM/kernel is not the problem, I don't heve waranty because I had dropped the phone and smashed the screen 6 months ago, do you think that the GPU can cause this problem?
So....you replaced the screen...?

Yes, I did replaced the screen with a genuine one at a service. The problem started 3 weeks ago.
Hello,
First of thanks for even looking at my problem also excuse me for my bad english or when I missed a similiar thread with the same problem
Last friday I was keeping my galaxy s3 between my body and my sports pants/underwear. When I took it away there was a tiny little bit of moisture on the screen (sweat I guess). I wiped it of and continued using my phone. After a while the screen started to go pink and flikkering white in different brightness levels. I quickly turned my phone off and took the battery out. I left my phone on the boiler in a bowl of rice overnight (+/- 15 hours). When I turned the phone on again it worked fine but only my screen has a very low resolution now. The rest of the phones functions are working just fine!
Does anyone know how this problem whas caused, if it could be fixed by me and if it could be under warranty (Standard dutch warranty of 2 years, my water/liquid indicators in the headphone jack and behind the battery are still white and white with blue x's respectively).
This is how my screen looks now:

(It's less visible on camera in my opinion, hope you can at least see a difference to understand what I mean with 'lost resolution'.

Thanks in advance!
I'd take it into the dealer and show them - it should be fixed under warranty I think. I would not tell them about the moisture and to be honest I don't think that is the problem. I've had water splashed on my phone with no effects. Also, the screen is fused to the glass (which is why cracks are so expensive to fix - you're buying a new screen) so the moisture would somehow have to get inside the casing to affect things. It clearly hasn't done that if the indicators are not showing water effects.
I am using XPERIA Neo V (MT11i) yesterday my phone slipped off from my hand and struck on the floor facing the screen
The screen damaged severely and touch stopped responding but there is no sign of crack or any kind of LCD display malfunctioning so I decided to repair it and change the DIGITIZER by myself but after watching touch screen (digitizer) repairing videos on youtube I got little confused because in most of the videos I have seen even the screen got severely damaged they were still working but mine is not so I'm wondering even if I purchase a digitizer and install it on my phone but if it might not work then.
So my question is should I purchase a new DIGITIZER available on ebay and repair it by self as its easy to repair it at home? or should I go and repair it from SONY service center or local mobile repair shop but there are two threats:
1). If I go to SONY service center they will charge high (Because for an old phone I don't want to spend more money).
2). If i go to local repair shop they might not use a good quality digitizer which could lead to issues soon or affect overall touch experience.

Your digitizer looks pretty cracked so perhaps replacing the digitizer will work. PERHAPS. You should go ahead and repair it at home because parts for old phones are pretty cheap and if you are comfortable, what do you have to lose?

Sure I will repair it in home.
Thanks

Very unfortunate, the main screen of my brand new Oppo Find N is already broken. I haven't dropped it or covered it with dust or sand, just had it in my pocket for 5 days. When I opened it today there was this white line. With the finger i felt a piece of dust beneath the screen - the hinge seems not very safe against dust from the pocket. It reminds me of the first Galaxy Fold which was very sensitive. Very unfortunate. I hope no one else has a similiar issue, I'll send it back for warranty coverage...

Wooooow
Thats a bit concerning…
That is very concerning for sure. I spent a lot of money for the phone and question the type of warranty I will get from the seller I purchased from. I had not even thought about this outcome before and has me very concerned for sure.
Wooh this is not good... Hope you can get some help with the seller or through de warranty....
Cheers
Did you resolve the issue via seller or source a repair (presumably screen replacement?) - I'm looking at a phone with a similar issue - did it need to go back to china to be repaired & did that happen okay?
I'd be interested in your outcome
OP no longer posts in XDA forums hence no matter whether his phone was repaired or not, it seems he moved to iOS.
Device was replaced.
where did you get your device replaced? I have the exact same thing happened to my phone!
Same question. I have a black dot (diameter 0,4 cm ) on the unfolded screen
