Hi,
I know there have been some fixes posted before but I found a really easy to use one here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1789588
If you're DSP FC's every time you try to change an EQ setting this should take care of the problem.

I've searched and asked this question several times but found no answer that works.
I love 2 particular ROM components
1 - Flashlight from lockscreen.
Holding the home button from a lockscreen will toggle the flashlight, holding it again will turn it off
2 - Relaxing alarm sounds
This includes the smart alarm and the Dawn Chorus, Sea Breeze, Springtime Memories alarm sounds.
How do I add these to a ROM?
I've found OMEGA Rom includes both of these elements but it isnt the fastest ROM around and when I edit voltage settings it becomes quite unstable.
I really liked the FoxHound series roms which had the flashlight ability and was quite fast and stable
Resurrection Remix is quite nice too but has neither of these features which is why I'd like to know how to do this so I can add it myself.
Can someone give me some info on these?
I'm assuming the smart alarm thing is just saving some .ogg files to use and transfer into the correct place to be able to implement them but the flashlight I'm not quite sure - someone said something about flashing a zip file in CWM but that didnt work for me at all..
Seriously? is there no way to do either of these things??
Surely somebody would know how to do this?

Maybe u should try JKay mod....
It has a lot of extra options like the flashlight u mentioned. And much much more!
About the alarm sounds...
Never search for that but it must be very easy to do

For the first question i have also no idea, i know that miui also has that feature
But the second i quite easy. open any_rom.zip.
Go to system>media>audio>alarms> here you can drop your alarm sounds.
you can also go to /system/media/audio on your phone and put any alarms, ringtones or notifications there.
Hey guys
am currently running foxhound 1.42 and DSP manager...
am looking to know if anyone else has a better audio combination, i like LOUD volume (through my headphones while at the gym) but i like the music it be as clear as possible...... atm i am getting alot of distortion and the rom just doesn't seem as loud as when it was around 0.8
can anyone recomend a rom/kernal and sound manager combination to try?
thanks
calum
Did you install volume gain mod from aroma installer? With that your phone should be loud like crazy.
I use poweramp which has lots of audio settings. I believe there is a free trial on play store to try out. Or you can just flash siyah kernel where you can adjust audio settings in STweaks.
I am using Siyah kernel and its awesome...... Sound seems to be so much better than stock..... but can't compare to your current setup.......You gotta try it yourself.....
Why the holy stick so many people use word kernal not kernel??
slap siyah over whatever the rom you use and enjoy the sound
ok guys cheers gonna give
DragonICS Rebirth V3.6 a go it comes with SiyahKernel S3 v1.5beta6
is there anything else i should try / use to get louder volume some people have mentioned DSP manager and some power amp anyone wanna point me in the right direction?

You don't need another rom. Siyah kernel works fine with foxhound. What you need to do:
- grab latest foxhound
- go into recovery
- make nandroid
- Flash foxhound
In aroma choose:
- volume loud hack, yes
- Install Siyah kernel
After that you'll find stweaks app in drawer with lots of audio tweaks

So I was about to install Viper4Android, and the guide told me that I should enable it on Settings>Sound>Music Effects. The problem is that I am searching for the Music Effects tab in options and I dont find it! I find the Volume control and the Ringtones, and Audio Exit, but not Music Effects! So, whats the problem?
Is something that comes with the Sammy 4.3 Firmware? Because I think so.

Dude, it means the option tab in Viper, not of the device...

Please read the V4A forum .
If you do not have the Music FX apk then you will not see music effects .
Well thank you! I was confused because I didnt see the Sound Settings in the Viper App neither, and I thought it was in the Samsung Settings. A bit stupid of me:silly:
Also, I actually have the Music FX app in the app list, but even then I cant see the option in the Sound Setting in Samsung...might check the Viper options again and find those sound settings...
Ok, since fresh OTA is out with some fixes, it's good time to make Cleaned version, like my OxygenOS mod
I made it with /system folder in .zip (using modded cm12.1 update script), so it's easy to mod. Firmware is included.
Features:
- Cleaned
- SuperSU (because Titanium Backup works better with it)
- Eleven Music Player instead of Google Music
- Cabinet instead of stock CM FM
- Camera Next Mod by @abhi08638
- Material Gallery icon
No need gapps.
There are two version: Root Only and Root + Cleaned + Modded
Enjoy :good:

Cool! Love your work, giving it a GO!
Just flashed it ... working like a charm ... rooted cleaned small mods
Dirty flash over previously cm12s from calkulin

How many hours sot?
Hello...
So far, luv this rom even though lacking rich features compared to Bliss or Cyanide L. Wondering one thing here that leads to my lost of any solution. In short, tried to figure out what happened but could not see any lights at the end of tunnel.
Install Spotify and maxxaudio really compliments it when playing. But out of sudden, maxxaudio fails to work as usual and to some extent, also out of sudden, Spotify stops playing when the screen is off!. When rebooting, maxxaudio comes with its charm again but again, it fails to impress once suddenly stop working and sooner or later, Spotify still on going, suddenly again it stops when the screen is off and finally both of my favs gone!!! No idea what really happened...
Any advice? Perhaps the issue of compatibility here?

MaxxAudio is known to not cause problems on OxygenOS. Try uninstalling it and see if it solves the matters with Spotify too. If you want great audio, maybe you should give Viper4Android a shot

Hi!
I've checked it on the web and this seems to be a common and old MIUI bug. Can anyone know how to fix this?
Even with Google Clock instead of Xiaomi Clock widgets wont show the correct next alarm time. It helps a bit don't the problem remains.
I've tried different widgets but the problem remained.
Thanks! : )
Have you found solution?

iirc chronus (thats what i use as clock widget) said something about miui not implementing the clock properly and thats why. after switching to lineage os everything works as intended!
link to a thread on the xiaomi forums explaining the issue: http://en.miui.com/thread-430400-1-1.html (and this has been "under discussion" since 2016 so dont expect a fix from them anytime soon)
I read something somewhere, at the time, the it also has something to do with MIUI Calendar, if I remember well. I guess it become a bit better after I disabled that system app - with "App Freezer", you can try it if you have root, no need to unistall anything and easy to go back, great for debloat the phone.
