I tried using Lookout missing device this weekend to see if it works and it will only find my phone if the screen is on (not in deep sleep). Is there a fix for this? I also tried where's my droid and plan b and got the same results.

did you remember to give the app administrators privilege?
settings > device administrators click the check box
No, I completely forgot about it. Thanks
Still can't get it to work, maybe a build prop edit?
I've been using Androidlost. Seems to work well.
I'll look into that, thanks

Just curious as to whether anyone else has gotten the following apps to work:
Unlock with WiFi
Dual Mount SD
These worked good on my EVO but no dice on the Photon. Suggestions?

Unlock with Wifi won't work if you're using something like Juice Defender or any app that turns wifi off because UWW needs wifi to remain on.
Cant answer your 2nd app.

Yea....read through the FAQ already. I don't have anything like that on my phone as far as I know unless it is something that came stock on it (I did notice there was some kind of task manager on there).
Do you have it working on your phone?

Wonder if Battery Manager is interfering with it? I'm new to Motorola myself so that feature is new to me, but check that setting on your phone real quick?

Not sure what Battery Manager you are referring to. Can you clarify please?
*Update* Been working with the dev for Dual Mount SD and there might be an update to fix it this week. Also, I may have fixed the issue with Unlock for Wifi. Need more time to test it though.

Settings -> Battery & Data Manager
I can't get Custom Android Font Changer to apply the font change...anyone else try this app yet with their photon? Maybe I need to run the root script again?
EDIT: Root check told me I had busybox, but I didn't. Installed busybox and it now works great!

I'm set on performance but it doesn't make a difference. Believe that is mostly for sync settings anyways.
There is a bit of a debate about whether root for the Photon is actually 100%. App devs are saying no and rom devs are saying yes.
All I know is some of my favorite root apps used on my ogEVO I cannot use on the Photon which is a real bummer. If anyone could figure out why that would be awesome.
A couple of the apps I would like to use: Unlock for WiFi & Dual Mount USB
In regards to Dual Mount USB by Protocol-X, seems the directories it needs access to exist but cannot be written to for some reason even though in Root Explorer I have set proper permissions. Other rooted phones don't have this issue and I would like to know why.
Anyone have insight into any of this??
Hey guys,
I just got my replacement prime today. Got it updated and rooted successfully, and everything seemed alright. But when I installed Titanium Backup and my Pro Key for it, I get the following notification "titanium backup failed key check with google", and the app only runs as the free version. I know the key is good, as I've been using it on my phone for months with the same account as what's set up on my prime, so that shouldn't be an issue. I don't really know what might be causing this though.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue, either specifically with the Prime, or in general, and what might be causing it?
Make sure you're connected with wifi. Some paid apps do a market check to make sure you have a legit license.

Happening on an install from the market itself, so yes, connected with wifi.

Worked. Thanks!
Of course, seems so obvious now, but didn't occur to me though. Glad to know it wasn't some deeper problem.

jejeje, same thing happen to me... after 8hr of troubleshooting I figure it out...
I dont get it...
I have the same problem. What date/time settings should be changed ?
THANKS!
Finally! Took me like 4 hours trying to fix this! Thank yoU!
Hate to bring this thread back from the dead, but I'm having the same issue. Can someone explain the "fix date/time" fix?
I also have the sae problem and would appreciate any clarification regarding the date/time setting fix please. Thanks in advance.
no thanks to the cryptic d-bags that posted before, but I finally figured it out. I had to change my Android time zone to Pacific Standard and restart Titanium Backup. I assume this is because Google is located in that time zone and Titanium Backup is looking for that to confirm the pro key purchase. Changed back to my normal time zone and its still working as pro.
Try upgrading to Pro key v1.3.0
Hi,
Try to upgrade to v1.3.0 of the Pro key - it resolves a long-standing problem with apps (such as lucky patcher) corrupting the license data coming from Google servers. The new v1.3.0 should be immune to that now.
Btw: you can use any timezone you like - as long as your date/time is set, you won't need to worry about it!
Hi,
I am unable to install unknown sources apk. My settings are already enabled for unknown sources in the security section. May I know how I can resolve this? It is the same for all apks that I have downloaded. I am not rooted.
Thanks

tried to install apps from Play Store?

Ok I subsequently found the problem. It's due a software screen filter that I have on. Once I disabled it everything works fine. Weird but it works

Hahah, I know exactly what you're talking about. I had the same issue on my Galaxy Note. I noticed that it wouldn't install unknown APK every time I lay in bed at night, until I switched off the filter and then it worked.
Just imagine how many people have had or are having issues with this right now

I can't find anything that says this was patched, here's the original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338327
The only problem I can find is that the hidden menu doesn't display the WLAN Test to get this to work. Can someone please help?

I looked around and saw that there was NOTHING on a patch, so it could? Though I doubt it with MM (for some reason).
I have the Verizon G5 and I've been trying to pull up the hidden menu but it just won't go. RIP.

Yeah there's no official patch. Absolutely nothing is working on getting the hidden menu... I've been trying for hours
Its patched i guess.. They've completely removed the wLan Test activity and service from the menu..
Pretty much a "just remove tht sheeit!!" patch

Not sure if this is the same hidden menu, but tasker lists 4 apps with that name. None of them seem to launch, though.

Volume slider wont go away unless u tap somewhere. Anyone got the same problem?
This was common issue with apps using accessibility service incorrectly. Check which apps have accessibility service and disable them one by one to see if the issue disappears.

Please share the app name, it might come in handy. You might also contact the app developer to fix the issue - it's explained here nicely https://www.xda-developers.com/why-android-phone-volume-dialog/

The app is called Settings Database Editor, i used ti to remove fingerprint animation as instructed by a popular thread here on XDA.
Edit: Feel free to report in my name,I dont know how to do that

Good thing I found this thread
Hi. I m facing same issue. Pls tell me how you fix it. TIA
Another app 'App Freezer' (com.real.clearprocesses) is causing it.
For those who don't know the fix, go to Settings (your phone settings), find 'Accessibility' (it may be inside something like additional settings) and scroll down until you find app names. Check which apps are 'On' and turn them off one by one until it's fixed.
Look also for Switch Access. Probably you changed settings there.
