Go to the APN and reset to default with a CSC of BTU. AT&Ts APN is there. Mine picked up automatically.

Some ROMS use the "wap.cingular" APN as the default for AT&T, which won't get you full download speeds in some markets (such as mine). The "phone" APN is currently the best one to use on HSPA phones on AT&T.
OP, the best APN configuration to use it just 1 APN:
Name: (doesn't matter, something like AT&T HSPA+ is fine)
APN: phone
mmsc: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
mms proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC:<don't change number>
MNC:<don't change number>
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri
everything else: not set or unspecified
With the old APN configurations floating around, sometimes MMS would not work depending on the ROM. But I have yet to get experience an MMS failure using the APN I posted above, regardless of ROM.

Firstly, I don't want to bring an old topic back from the dead, but is there any CSC that is known for having the proper (or more compatible) ATT settings? It seems to me the BTU is a bit off (data connection) compared to my old phone. Though the above settings helped. Or is it all strictly about the modem?

Rogers LTE w/ CM9/AOKP/AOSP ROMS

So I've been struggling to get LTE working with CM9/AOKP/AOSP ROMS.
It seems that our US brothers with ATT don't have a problem.
I have been adding the LTE APN, redoing the APN's provided with these ROMS to the LTE APN to no avail.
It ends up being one typing change that solved my problem. Thanks to a source who found this info on the Skyrocket Forums.
In case you Rogers folks don't have the LTE APN:

APN Protocol: IPv4
Instead of internet + mms, enter "*" <--without the quotes.
When using an APN loading program, ther internet + MMS are options that come up in a menu. It seems that if you manually type them in like this, the modem doesn't like it. The asterisk does the trick.

*********EDIT**********
Also in the Mobile Networks Menu - Don't forget to select LTE/WCDMA/GSM in the Network Mode Menu!
And you can go ahead and delete the other APNS. To do that, just click on it, so it lists its own data, click on the menu button, select delete.

With Rogers:
4G = LTE
H=4G
3G=3G
I did my speedtests, and am indeed now getting full LTE speeds.
Hope this helps!

Worked! Thank you so much... now just to get the camera to work properly and I'm set.
Damn, too bad Niagara Region doesn't have LTE and it doesn't look like we are getting it any time soon.
i flashed the ics leak. Before flashing it, I had lte working perfectly on Koodo. Now, the only time my data seems to work is when I am near my home area.
I used to enjoy LTE while in my work area, now I just get a forbidden error on any website i try to go to, speedtest even give a network error.
What is weird, is that firefox works. None of my apps, gmail, or built in web browser will work, but firefox will.
I am thinking I will flash back to stock Rogers and see if that helps. Maybe it was the kernal or radio change?

Post the APN you are getting with the new leak. Maybe we can see what's going on there.
Possibly a modem issue as well as you mentioned.
These are the screenahots of my apn. There are some greyed out ones that were not on my old rom. Also, there is a heading called bearer that i do not believe was there on my old rom

I ran Appdroid Objection rom and had issues with LTE. When i tried to edit the APN, it was same as above, you can't manually enter the information. Instead, you are given 3 options.

As abulbulia said above. Your situation with Kudo may be similar to my situation with Rogers.
Edit your APN and remove the "internet + MMS" field. Leave it blank, or put in an asterisk. DON'T FORGET TO SAVE after you've made the edit.
The connection should reset right away, watch your connection bars.
Also remember to select LTE/GSM in the Network Mode menu.
When in doubt, give it a reboot after.
Good luck!
Are your 3 options:
DELETE APN
SAVE
DISCARD
If so, click on the actual item you want to edit, and you should be able to edit.

Here is an interesting development... I flashed CyanogenMod 10 on my Sony Xperia arc S phone and the ROM downloaded some settings by itself. There are 3 APNs that comes with this ROM.
1. ATT
2. ATT LTE
3. StraightTalk ATT
StraightTalk was picked by default. I was about to delete them all and enter the settings from here but then I received a text message from a friend... Lo and behold, it was a MMS message with a pic attached and already downloaded. I saw that my WiFi was on, so I turned off the WiFi and asked my friend to send me more pics... They all arrived including a video snippet.... Then I sent one, a larger pic, and he received it. All amazed I fired up the CM10's browser and went to www.testmy.net Did a smarttest and my download was 3.4 Mbps and upload was 577 Kbps... In Phoenix, AZ...
Here are the settings that came with CM10 ...

APN type: default,supl,mms
APN protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: APN enabled (tick mark checked but grayed out anyways)

Does this make any sense now?
That's the settings I use for straight talk, works great. I get 4g just about everywhere here in pa. Mms works great too. I've had straight talk for a year and a half on at&t. Can't complain. If you use alot of cell data they will throttle you slow, but I'm usually close to wifi. I've heard 2GB then they slow you down.

I'm getting 1.3Mbps down and 657 Kbps up. Pretty happy with it.
To the last poster, I thought Straight Talk didn't offer LTE coverage?! If it did, it'd be an even more amazing deal than I had thought it was!
My data works fine. Got like 6mbps this morn but my MMS wont send for ****. Using an Xperia Ion
Pantech Pocket ATT - Straight Talk MMS Settings
The Pantech Pocket needs to have the Straight Talk APN data loaded to TWO locations.
Both Phone APN and Wap APN need to be setup with the Straight Talk APN settings.
Straight Talk makes it sound like you only need to enter the information in one location.
You need to enter the information in Phone APN and Wap APN, if you want MMS to work!
APN name: Straight Talk
APN: att.mvno
Proxy: Straight Talk value
Port: 80
MMSC: Straight Talk value
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.33
MMS Port: 80
My Pantech Pocket is running flawlessly on Straight Talk now. MMS is 100% functional. The pictures are getting through. I'm getting 5Mbps download speed and 1Mbps upload speed.
My Pantech burst uses only one apn. On gingerbread and ice cream sandwich. I don't run proxy but the rest of the settings I put in and works good. Seems faster tried it. 40kbps proxy vs 4000kbps no proxy. Not sure why. Any ideas?

HOLY SH!T!!!
I just put in the settings Bushmaster78FS posted and I am now on TRUE 4G with ST. 6Mbps!!! ITS FASTER THAN MY WORKS WIFI BY 3X!!!
AMAZING!!! THANKS BUSHMASTER!
Nice
Thanks for the settings you posted Bushmaster.
The settings provided are the first ones I have used and successfully got both data and mms working with only one APN.
Using Samsung Galaxy S III.
1. My phone is unocked and compatible on both AT&T networks and T-Mobile right now i am using an blue AT&T sim and i am thinking to make the move to T-Mobile network. Do you think i can use the same AT&T compatible sim and just change the APN setting to T-Mobile and have it work on the T-Mobile network or so i have to buy a sim?
2. I heard that you can get a free sim by buying a free phone and just using it on your phone but other people say that those sims are lock to those phones. Which is true?
3. I see that Straight talk sells cheap GSM phones and my GF has her phone on T-Mobile so can i buy one of the ST phones and swap it to use on T-Mobile or are the locked and can they be unlocked?
I just switched from the default straight talk apn to the ones bushmaster posted. I went from 1 mbps to 4.8 on a Nexus 4.

anyone try these settings on S2 i9100 and see speed gains?
APN set, no data.
Hey gang, I've looked far-and-wide and haven't been able to locate a solution so, I throw myself on y'all's mercy and ask if anyone has a clue why I can't receive wireless data on my SGT AT&T GT-P1000.
I received my AT&T Straight Talk SIM the other day and porting the phone over was no issue. However, when I set up the APN I did not immediately reboot the phone due to some confusion about when the service actually transferred. Could this have affected my registration on the ST wireless network?
I've entered the APN settings precisely but, alas, still cannot connect to the wireless data. I really want to move over to ST, not only will it save me $30 a month whilst adding an "unlimited" data plan but, best of all, I'll get to tell AT&T to go pound sand.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
did you add in the " http://"?
Does anybody now any way to unthrotte. Since we all now that ST throttle after 5gb. I called to ST customers service, they told me that unlimited data is only for navigation.

T-Mobile MMS APN (ABSOLUTE CORRECT)

I have tested this in STOCK, although you have to change APN type to below if phone is restarted. On NOS M7 it will work flawlessly.:good:
OK, you are to go to phone settings>Mobile Data>(Make sure you are on Preferred Network-GSM/UMTS mode first)then GSM/UMTS Options>Access Point Names>Create a New and only one as per below;
NAME: T-Mobile Standard
APN: epc.tmobile.com
.
.
.
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wepenc
MMS PROXY: 216.155.165.50
MMS PORT: 8080
.
.
APN TYPE: default,*,mms
Check to make sure there is absolutely no spaces...Also, phone will take a bit to set in, but it is a good idea to do a reboot. There was another APN floating around, but MMS will be extremely slow, this is working for me real snappy.

[Q] Why are my APN settings are not working?

So I got my XZU on Friday. Bought a Petro Canada Mobility sim, cut and inserted it, and I am able to call and text without problems. Issues arise when I want to use mobile data. I filled out the APN info as the Petro Canada site said (located here at 5.f) and that didn't work. I googled around and tried various other ones, which also didn't work.
I called Petro Canada, I called Sony, and they each say to call the other and that everything is working with their respective equipment.
I don't know what else to do, I don't know if I'm missing something in my settings, and I hope you guys can help.
The 2 settings configurations I tried/keep trying are:
(1)
APN: goam.com
Proxy: 10.128.1.69
Port: 80
Username: wapuser1
Password: wap
(everything else not set/default)
(2)
APN: goam.com
Proxy: 10.128.1.69
Port: 80
Username: wapuser1
Password: wap
MMSC: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
MMS proxy: 10.128.1.69
MMS port: 80(everything else not set/default)
I should also note that I have tried the option to "Download settings for Internet and MMS" (it prompts me to select Fido or Rogers, and I choose Rogers because Petro Canada uses their network), and if while it's downloading, I go to the APN page, I see the APN it is attempting to download, and it matched settings (1) I listed above, only named SONY GPRS. It then fails to download and leaves me with nothing.
Thanks for the help.

Well, the settings look OK from what I can see... Stupid question, but you have data enabled in the settings?

I should also note that I have tried the option to "Download settings for Internet and MMS" (it prompts me to select Fido or Rogers, and I choose Rogers because Petro Canada uses their network), and if while it's downloading, I go to the APN page, I see the APN it is attempting to download, and it matched settings (1) I listed above, only named SONY GPRS. It then fails to download and leaves me with nothing.

Just to be sure, since Petro Canada is using another network: you have got Data Roaming enabled in the settings?
I'm using a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) myself, and when I disable Data Roaming, I can't get a mobile internet connection either. But then again, if that were the issue, the phone should give you a notification.
I remember having internet connection problems with my previous phone, and I solved them by simply leaving the proxy settings blank (server address and port number). Maybe you could give that a try?

I was gonna mention that about proxies also, it's unusual for an operator to use a proxy locally isn't it? Definitely worth a go to leave it out.

I had data roaming disabled. Changed it to National roaming. Doesn't work, removed proxy and port, still no luck.

No data connection (only calls n text). Already tried everything =( Verizon model

I have a ATT plan and just purchased a Verizon HTC one m8 unlocked (i suppose every verizon phone is unlocked).
I have normal calls and texts. But no data connection. Do you guys think this is an APN problem or I will never get data on my device due to some other crazy reason? I appreciate any thoughts.
Already tried many types of APN addresses:
name: ATT Phone
Apn: phone
Proxy: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
Mms proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
Mms port: 80
Mms protocal: wap 2.0
Mcc 310
Mnc 410
Apn type: default,mms,supl,hipri,fota
Apn protocal: ipv4
Apn roaming: ipv4
Bearer: unspecified
Its gotta be something with the APN. Bc I had a Verizon Note 2 Verizon S3 and Verizon S4 and they all worked on At&t network with no issues. Granted you will only get 3G data not LTE .

You say you tried many APNs, but only list one. What are the others?
Also, what you have listed isn't quite right. Particularly, the following should be:
Proxy: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
(everything else looks okay for this APN)

Sorry, it was a typo from the website that I got the APN, but at the time I did it right just the way you typed.
Anyway, problem solved. I went to a ATT store, they worked in the computer and setup my APN the very exactly way as before. Do you guys think there is a possibility that ATT staff need to "unlock" the band or something like that?
Thanks for the support

Highly unlikely, never heard of such a thing.
You either entered the APN info improperly (even a single incorrect character or extra space will screw the whole deal); or you didn't try the correct APN that your account is provisioned for.
