I have tested this in STOCK, although you have to change APN type to below if phone is restarted. On NOS M7 it will work flawlessly.:good:
OK, you are to go to phone settings>Mobile Data>(Make sure you are on Preferred Network-GSM/UMTS mode first)then GSM/UMTS Options>Access Point Names>Create a New and only one as per below;
NAME: T-Mobile Standard
APN: epc.tmobile.com
.
.
.
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wepenc
MMS PROXY: 216.155.165.50
MMS PORT: 8080
.
.
APN TYPE: default,*,mms
Check to make sure there is absolutely no spaces...Also, phone will take a bit to set in, but it is a good idea to do a reboot. There was another APN floating around, but MMS will be extremely slow, this is working for me real snappy.

REMEMBER IF YOUR LTE APN DOESN'T STICK, TO DELETE YOUR OLD APN FIRST, THEN MAKE THIS ATT LTE APN THEN, SAVE IT.ENABLE IT....then make other apn if needed be...for the ones having difficulty.
GO TO MOBILE NETWORK>ACCESS POINT NAMES>ATT LTE

UCLC5 was the very first ICS leak for our Notes. If coming from stock, you can just use the following ROM link:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/22134-sgh-i717uclc5-ice-cream-sandwich/
Wonder what the speed differences are between UCLC5, UCLD3 and UCLE2. Be interesting to see someone with the time handy give it a go and compile the results into a multi-colored graph...
Confirmed!
Confirmed working on ATT stock non-rooted phone.
My DL speed at my current location was around 2-3mbps(sucks) now it just went to steady 12mbps and reaching as high as 20mbps after changing the APN settings.
Thanks!

I never have gotten lte before in my house until I flashed that modem.
My wife has a Samsung galaxy s2 from at&t as well...Her phone is not rooted....I tested her device next to mine. With that modem and settings i scored those values....Hers still gets 3-5 mpbs I tested these devices right next to each other. I believe its the combination of the modem and those settings, and or the cm9 rom?

Some ROMS use the "wap.cingular" APN as the default for AT&T, which won't get you full download speeds in some markets (such as mine). The "phone" APN is currently the best one to use on HSPA phones on AT&T.
OP, the best APN configuration to use it just 1 APN:
Name: (doesn't matter, something like AT&T HSPA+ is fine)
APN: phone
mmsc: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
mms proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC:<don't change number>
MNC:<don't change number>
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri
everything else: not set or unspecified
With the old APN configurations floating around, sometimes MMS would not work depending on the ROM. But I have yet to get experience an MMS failure using the APN I posted above, regardless of ROM.

Firstly, I don't want to bring an old topic back from the dead, but is there any CSC that is known for having the proper (or more compatible) ATT settings? It seems to me the BTU is a bit off (data connection) compared to my old phone. Though the above settings helped. Or is it all strictly about the modem?
I have an att&t lgog and the other day my service was cancelled. I took a trip to radio shack and got the net 10 $50/month unlimited plan, had them activate it with the included microsim, and I'm good to go now. my only question is about the modems we have available. my data connection drops every so often now and sometimes web pages in chrome hang and require a refresh to load up. being on net 10, which I'm pretty sure still uses at&t towers(?) am I able to use any att radios we have?
I'm also using Net10 on my Optimus. I've had no problems in 3 months, regardless of ROM or radio (Stock ICS, Stock JB, and AOKP). I'd check your APN settings.

Update: Straight Talk's website now tells you the apn setting you should be using, to do this visit the link at the bottom of this post and follow the directions. The apn settings in this post should be the settings all new users are assigned, checking the link would tell you for sure though.
Just a heads up, if you're using Straight Talk's BYOP sim card and your data quit working, you may have been transitioned to new apn settings. I read about it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2310215 in the Nexus 4 forums.
It seems users there lost all mobile data connectivity after their service renewed. The new apn settings seemed to have restored their data connectivity. I suggest making a second apn setting on your phone with the new settings I've posted below. The reason why I suggest a second apn is so you can easily switch between apns if you lose data connectivity on the new apn, I see it as an easy troubleshooting step down the road.
Here is the new apn
Name: Straight Talk
APN: tfdata
Port: 80
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy: mms3.tracfone.com

From what I've gathered, there are two different At&t apn settings for straight talk's byop sim card, either att.mvno or tfdata. I use to be on att.mvno for my apn, but when I changed to their lte sim card, my apn settings became tfdata.
I'm not sure cdma phones have programmable apn settings.

I have had problems sending mms on the i777 on non-stock based roms such as cm. I had better luck getting mms to go if I disconnected from wifi and waiting for the phone to establish a data connection before sending the mms. I never had much luck with toggling airplane mode on and off to get an mms to go. If it didn't go the first time, I'd just forward the mms I was trying to send to the same person that I was trying to originally send it to, normally the forwarded one went. I decided to forward it to them because it took less time than making a new mms message all over again. hope that helps.
In the mms proxy field put
66.209.11.33 Instead or try 66.209.11.34

You may get faster speeds, but you're not getting true LTE, because our device simply doesn't have the necessary hardware.

Well it depends, are you porting your number or are you getting a new number from them? When I activated my straight talk sim card, I got a new number and was up in running in minutes, if not instantly.
I have an unlocked US Cellular S6 Edge model G925R4. I have rooted it and currently running stock ROM (Settings image attached).
I am using TMobile SIM on it and I am getting cellular network and am able to make calls. However I am having serious issues with Mobile data.
Mobile data did not work by default, I installed APN changer app and added the following settings for Tmobile:
Name: T-MOBILE
APN: fast.tmobile.com
Proxy: <Leave in Blank>
Port: <Leave in Blank>
Username: <Leave in Blank>
Password: <Leave in Blank>
Server: <Leave in Blank>
MMSC: hxxp://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy: <Leave in Blank>
MMS port: <Leave in Blank>
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type: <Leave in Blank>
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN Protocol: Leave it to the Default one
Once I do this i see data network sparsely, most of the times it does not work. Multiple reboots did not make any difference.
To change the APN I am using "Change APN" app. I see the T-Mobile entries I have made on it sometimes but sometimes i do not (screenshot attached).
I saw on a similar post about correcting the permissions of few files in system/csc/ folder - namely customer.xml and features.xml. After doing this I saw the APN settings after reboot.
But they are gone after the next reboot. So I am not sure if the permission change made much difference.
I really like the phone but at this point it is unusable because of loss of Mobile data. Is there any way to improve the situation ? Be it a different kernel, ROM, modem or anything.
Also I have tried an AT&T sim on it with appropriate APN entries and mobile data did not work for it as well. So its not a problem pertaining to Tmobile network coverage.
Id love to hear suggestions from the community as I really would like to use this phone going forward.
I have the same phone. I was using it on cricket at first and now I am using it on T-mobile. The apn should stick even though it shows the unable to view access point name settings. Access is restricted.
The only problem I have is when it connects to 4glte it has no bars and I cannot send texts messages. If you go into the service mode just set it for gsm/wcdma
Here's screenshot of mine on tmobile
*also I think you are using a different kernel
Can you list the kernel you are using? I'm not sure of that might be the problem.

Thanks for the link, I flashed the kernel from the link and when i added the APN i could see both network and data working fine. Network bars were almost full, but sadly after a reboot i again see no network and loss of data connectivity. I am able to make calls though.
At this point all I have done is changed the APN (tried both epc and fast). Apart from that I havent tried anything else. Just bugs me to think that everything worked perfectly which indicates that there is no issue with the phone/kernel/ROM. But again at the end its not working .. any suggestions ?
For me I would have to go into the service menu because 4g lte would not work. So I would set it to GSM/wcdma and that's what worked for me. Internet was a little slower though
But after today
I honestly just got fed up with it and went and traded it in for the t mobile version. It's a hassle because 4g lte wasn't working and sometimes mms messages would not properly go thru.
When I was using it on cricket it worked better than t-mobile though.

I am leaning towards letting go of this phone as its too much hassle at the moment. Thing is I bought it off Ebay and at this point I am not really sure if the problem is with the phone or just the fact that I am using Tmobile SIM on a US Cellular phone. If I end up selling it I dont want someone else to suffer the same way.
Will a Tmobile specific variant be fine or will that cause similar issues ? I really like the phone but the mobile data part is really putting me off.
I too also got it off eBay the US cellular edition g925r4 and was in the same situation. I got mine for 400. But t mobile took it as a trade in for $140. A loss on my end but right now the s6 edge is $100 off so it was $579.99 minus the trade in credit I received. Also you get a year free of Netflix so that's not too bad...
The t mobile version I bought at the store works perfect mms, texting, WiFi calling it updated twice already so no issues here. Works perfect on 4g lte too
Hmm maybe I'll try swappa once before going with t-mobile. I don't want to get into contracts.
