Has anyone bought a universal headrest mount for use with the gtab? I'm looking for one but there seems to be quite a few out there. Just looking for an actual use recommendation.

I ordered this mount hope to have it by the weekend. I will report how it works. I wanted something for my 2 year to watch movies on. I already tested that my gtab syncs with bluetooth on my prius c stereo(on smoothbean rom) now i just hope this mount holds this brick up at an angle that is viewable.

this might be a little crazy and I hope there some car guys here that can help me this. This has been on my mind for a while and I was wondering how it would be do and how hard? I want to mount a 7inch Android tablet in my dashboard. Take out the radio and in place a tab. sound crazy doesn't in.
What cables would I need? Would tthe LCD mess up in the winter? It would be for a 2008 honda crv.

Why don't you buy a tablet dock to put it in your car? It won't hurt at the first place.

what if i get like a OEM dock for a tablet mount that in my dashbaord have it be able to easily put in my tablet and take out my tablet...hmm

I'm looking into building a custom dock/stand to install it in my cars dash. I can't seem to find any kind of landscape dock. I know there's an official portrait one for the view but that's not going to work for what I want to do.
If anyone knows of any please let me know, I'm trying to stay way from using one of the available car mounts.

Im also mounting mine in the dash of my car. I couldn't find a nice dock either so i've resorted to building it all from scratch using fiberglass.

I still haven't been able to find one for the view/flyer.
Though, I found one for the Samsung Galaxy tab 7+. I checked the dimensions for it and it looks like they are spot on the same length, the view is about 1/8th shorter. And that's nothing a but of epoxy and sanding can't fix. Im going to remove the 30 pin connector and replace it with the stock 12pin extmicro.
Still going to look for a more sutieable dock before I do all that.

Nope, when I first got the phone when it came out in searched that answer out for months in hope. Finally I just bought a new controller which was why I wanted it. I lucked out and grabbed a ps3 controller from newegg new for 32.99. What exactly are you trying to setup? The one thing I can tell you won't work is trying to get say a keyboard hooked up otg and use the mhl adapter.

Yeah, a Bluetooth mouse a keyboard work for me when using MHL.
I would like to do MHL and USB OTG for playing a flash drive files on the TV, instead of copying it over. But, a microSD card solved some f that.
Bluetooth didn't even come to mind for some reason haha, awesome idea! Thanks guys!

I should mention for the storage bit that there are some apps that can mount samba (windows shared) folders and you can later access data using a media app and stream the data over the network.

Can't make it function
Hi guys I see that you are talking about MHL and OTG...and it seems you don't have probemlms with it on your i777.
On the contrary, I can't seem to make it work....When I plug a mouse, keybord or flash memory....NOTHING happens.
I already searched a lot....some people say it depends on the kernel (mine is Siyah 5.5.1)...some say it depends on the ROM (mine is AOKP 7.3)....I don't know which answer is correct......or maybe my OTG cable is faulty????.......
Please if you know something else that I can do to enable or anything....let me know!

I believe you misunderstood, I explained you can use mhl and bluetooth mouse and or keyboard @ the same time. However that's not technically using MHL and otg cable.

The past couple of weeks I noticed that every once in a while my phone would be in drive mode for no apparent reason. Well last night I realized it was the magnet in my nexus 7 case that was causing it. If you place the magnet on the back of the optimus g it activates driving mode. Don't know if there are any car accessories with magnets but was wondering if it could be programmed to open a different app. Don't know how useful it would be but just a thought.

I set my phone on my Bluetooth hmdx jam speaker ant it has been doing that since this phone came out.
Old this was discussed like December if I recall. We came to the conclusion that it was a ditched peripheral from lg for a ditched car accessory

I just loaded SnowJB and it doesn't seem to do it anymore. Only worked on stock ICS it seems. This ROM doesn't have the drive mode app so that's probably why. It was annoying so glad its gone.

I am on Snow too. Was thinking about rigging up my own car dock/magnet, but oh well. Easy come, easy go.
Does not work on snow job but that's OK.
