Does anyone here know of a way to get the music player that came stock on my Sprint Galaxy S2 Epic 4g Touch onto my new Droid Razr MAXX? I can't stand the stock music player, and no other player that I've downloaded so far has had the kind of flexibility that the GS2 player had. The biggest problem is that none of the other music players have been able to play from a specific folder. They all have the basic artist, genre, album, etc. functions, but I need one that can break it down into specific folders.
Is it even possible to get the GS2 player onto the Razr without rooting? Does anyone know of a third-party player that can do what I need?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know of any Music Player App available that has Visualization capabilities meaning visuals that run while the music plays and correlates to the beat of the music. I can't find one whatsoever and it'd be cool to have it for my Evo 3d and my Thrive. The only app I've read about that has anything like this is the Droid X stock music player. I realize this would kill battery life but again it would be nice to have just for that "cool" factor. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
That sounds neat. I wonder if the Winamp player has it.
Hi all,
I just recently bought a RAZR (GSM) as a replacement for my DHD and i just wanted to know what you guys use to convert video files to play on your RAZR
thanks!
I've not had to convert anything as yet. Everything I've tried to play on it just works.
Although MX Video player on the market is a decent player and should do the trick if you do happen to come across a file that won't play.
Hello all.
I don't have access to the dev forum yet so I'm posting here. I have been running eclipse for a long time but recently tried CM7 and it is so much faster but there is one problem. My music files almost all show up as unknown artist. I use my phone as a music player in my car so this is a huge pain in the behind. I have reflashed twice now following all the instructions. I even SBF'd back to stock and wiped everything. The tags are fine on my PC, my old mp3 player and my wife's iphone so I know it's not a problem with the actual files.
Does anyone else have this issue? I did some searching on google and did find one post where someone said that it was a problem with the beta for the DX but I couldn't find any other info on it so if this is a known issue then I'm sorry for failing at the internet.
May I suggest trying a different music player. I use PowerAmp ($4.99 I believe) and have never looked back.
Just because the tags may show properly on those devices doesn't mean that they're error-free. Check the files using a well-known tagger such as mp3tag.

I have no issues on stock CM7 player. My wife uses an iPod for her music playing and I use my phone, so I am (whipped) 'forced' to use iTunes to sort and tag our music files. As mp4's the tags run perfectly. (Tagged with iTunes).
What software are you using to tag your files?
sent from my CM7'd X2 using XDA
does anyone have that coverflow music player APK that came on earlier Galaxies like the T959 and some others I much apriciate
Hello all, I was wondering if there was a rom that I could put on my xt912 to make it strictly an mp3 player, I want no other functions on it. Basically an ipod but a razr instead seeing as I have no other uses for it. Any info would be appreicated
If the phone is rooted, you can just delete all apps you don't want or need. I believe you still need a ROM on there. Doesn't have to be a custom rom, stock should work. I would delete email, and all other apps, just leave the play store and a music player or Spotify. If you get Wi-Fi, it is better than an iPod because you don't need iTunes. Can download music from anywhere.
