I've noticed that all the main features of any music playing on this phone (sharing to other devices, playing with voice commands from S Voice) all use the Samsung Stock music player. (which is actually very good... but I have 100 Gb of music that's all in the cloud, no way I'm gonna fit that actually ON my phone)
Is there any way to get S Voice or the phone in general to consider Google Play Music as the default music player? I can OPEN it with S Voice... but I still have to mess around with the screen. Not much use if I'm driving.
Also, is there anyway to share music from the google one to things like the wireless receiver they brought out? I know you can from the Sammy Music & Video players but wonder if you can from others.
Cheers!
I recently moved to a Custom ROM and now I'm living freely. Just one thing I miss from back in TouchWIZ is the music player. I loved the 'Share via Bluetooth' option to play the songs via my car stereo system using Bluetooth. Does anyone here know of any application that supports the same thing? It'd be good if there could be any. Thank you.
I am on arctic ics for xt910 which is deodexed...i need razr's stock music player app if anybody can do that
Don't know if you will find an easy way to do it.
Better find a third party app. I recommend PlayerPro, is way better than stock player.
Good luck!
There's no way to do this unless you had made a backup via Titanium or something similar beforehand...
Like DjShell said, 3rd party music players are much better. +1 on PlayerPro. The only reason I could think you'd want My Music is for the DLNA feature... Which is handy, actually.
Sure he can. People sometimes do system dumps of stock Roms and Deodex them. Just find the .apk you need and install it.
Here is an example of what you need to find.

Does anyone here know of a way to get the music player that came stock on my Sprint Galaxy S2 Epic 4g Touch onto my new Droid Razr MAXX? I can't stand the stock music player, and no other player that I've downloaded so far has had the kind of flexibility that the GS2 player had. The biggest problem is that none of the other music players have been able to play from a specific folder. They all have the basic artist, genre, album, etc. functions, but I need one that can break it down into specific folders.
Is it even possible to get the GS2 player onto the Razr without rooting? Does anyone know of a third-party player that can do what I need?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Hi all. Quick question:
I have google play all access, and I have stored the music locally on my device. I was wondering if there is a way to get all of my google play music files to play through the HTC Music app. Reason being, I want to install the Harmon-Kardon edition mod, but looks like the most benefit comes from using the HTC Music app. Does anyone know how I might go about sourcing all the google play files onto the HTC Music app?
Stock rooted, S-OFF, with latest OTA
Thanks!

The Harmon Kardon mod is really about enhancing compressed music, though it also supports 192khz via flac's, but you are asking about Play Music, which is compressed, even at high quality. The bottom line is that the mod works on all music apps, from Spotify, to Google Play Music exactly the same as it does for the HTC Music app. Technically, you can play the G Play music mp3's on any player, if you are rooted. You just need to move them to another folder. The down side is that the G Play app names all of the songs numerically, like 7483.mp3, so in the end, you are better off just using whatever music app you normally use.
another thing you can do is go into your default.xml file and edit the line pertaining to music channel (turning it on the rebooting, making sure the change has been saved). This allows me to play my playlists off Google music with the HTC player features, giving me access to the visualizer, lyrics (when applicable) etc, and the HK mod icons are active
Soon as I start a song, I get a notification that Music Channel is available, I click the notification and there it is
