motorola razr stock music player - Motorola Droid RAZR

I am on arctic ics for xt910 which is deodexed...i need razr's stock music player app if anybody can do that

Don't know if you will find an easy way to do it.
Better find a third party app. I recommend PlayerPro, is way better than stock player.
Good luck!

There's no way to do this unless you had made a backup via Titanium or something similar beforehand...
Like DjShell said, 3rd party music players are much better. +1 on PlayerPro. The only reason I could think you'd want My Music is for the DLNA feature... Which is handy, actually.

Sure he can. People sometimes do system dumps of stock Roms and Deodex them. Just find the .apk you need and install it.
Here is an example of what you need to find.

Nice find, looks good so far. I haven't found a music player that I really liked yet, hopefully this is the one.

Player Pro does this.
Agreed +1 on player pro (current player with sense skin)
Also use the folder option as well...so that option won me over entirely
I think there is like one more player that offers a folder option (trust me I went through them ALL) but cant think of it to save my life...might of been miui player??? idk?? dont hold me to it...
I think Mixing had folder option as well. I started using Player Pro a couple years ago and never looked back.
It's good but i prefer poweramp

It has a nice interface, but messing with the EQ too much causes it to hang. And if music is playing, you can't control it in any way, the only solution is to force close the app.
I usually just use Amazon MP3 to play music. The stock Blur player leaves a lot to be desired, and Google Music doesn't (seem to?) differentiate between cloud and local playback. With Amazon MP3 it's real easy. Plus, I buy music from them and I've ripped and uploaded my CDs to their cloud (and to Google's, it's nice to have options, heh). It isn't a great player, but it's reliable. And while I enjoy music, I don't play it on my phone often enough to need a fancy player.
But, thanks for the link, it was fun to try out.

Stock Music (Beats) - excuding podcasts from library

I want to use the stock Music Player so I get the advantage of Beats (I think you can play it that way - right?)
but The stock player adds all these non-music files to the library. Is there a quick and easy way to exclude certain folders?
.nomedia? - but wont that prevent my podcast app from seeing to?
Yea that is super annoying. I saw a post about the upcoming Sense 4.0 that will allow beats on all 3rd party apps too. I think it depends on how your podcast app works. I've hidden things like that before for one app while another app can be told to peek in the .folder hidden places.
I've been using 3rd party music apps in tandem with an EQ program to give me the beats EQ type of effect. I dont notice a big difference between the "Beats" EQ and a 3rd party one. At least 3rd party lets you tweak it for different types of music.

Not all apps respect .nomedia. since its a non volatile change why not try it.

[Q] Stock Player Equalizer

Okay, I have tried every music player on the market and I do not want to use any of them. I want to use the stock player so I can have the default lock screen controls/notification controls. The problem is, the equalizer sucks. But whenever I try to download third party market ones, they only work with m4a files. Ive tried all of them, even DSP manager. Can someone please tell me why? Or a fix? I cant seem to figure it out.
You can't seem to figure out not to double-post, either.

Where to Find Stock S5 Lollipop Music Player?

I uninstalled the stock music player because I didn't like it as much as an older version, which I had an apk for. I found out however that that one seems to be incompatible with this phone, and now I can't find an apk of the original music player. Is it floating around the web somewhere?
I would really prefer the older player (version 5.0.5) though... I think it was for the S3 originally. Is there any hope to find a compatible version out there?
Is this what you want?

I'm not sure if that's it. Anyway I ended up re-flashing the stock rom and I have the music player back so everything's ok. Thanks!

XT912 Music Player

Hello all, I was wondering if there was a rom that I could put on my xt912 to make it strictly an mp3 player, I want no other functions on it. Basically an ipod but a razr instead seeing as I have no other uses for it. Any info would be appreicated
If the phone is rooted, you can just delete all apps you don't want or need. I believe you still need a ROM on there. Doesn't have to be a custom rom, stock should work. I would delete email, and all other apps, just leave the play store and a music player or Spotify. If you get Wi-Fi, it is better than an iPod because you don't need iTunes. Can download music from anywhere.
