if you are on custom rom..try wiping dalvik cache from recovery..this happens to me before and ive solved it by wipe dalvik cache along with any app got to do with messaging using titanium backup..

If I uninstall an app without clearing the app's cache, will Android automatically delete the cache too when it uninstalls the app?
Or is it best to manually delete the cache before uninstalling an app?
No, the app cache will persist until you clear it manually (doing a full wipe, wiping the cache or deleting app data when you uninstall it).
Sorry, forgot to ask, doing a cache wipe through CWM, will it delete my progress made in games?

No. The cache is different from the app data.

i thinkwipe data/ factory format, then reflash your cm9 rom should fix the problem :cyclops:
What will happen if I boot into recovery and wipe just the system cache without doing a full format of the phone?
I'm looking at trying to sort out some lagging probs I been having the past week. Already cleared all the application caches but still getting noticeable slow downs.

Apps cache will be wipe that's all. Wipe dalviks as well if you want to try removing the lags.

As said by parent, it only formats the cache, so the first boot will be somewhat longer while regenerating it

I would wipe cache wipe dalvik and fix permissions as a matter of course .
Preference when sorting battery drain/lag etc is from a base rom without multiple apps added .

try pushing apk directly into /system/app. set permission and reboot. this will make it a system app. then use titanium backup or whatever to make it a user app
Try wiping cache partition and dalvik cache in the recovery!
Worked for me once!
"Did I ever tell you the definition of Insanity"

you dont have to reinstall all apps if you wipe dalvik cache. wiping cache make you reinstall all apps. dalvik cache just keeps record of installed apps. no harm if you clear/wipe it
I have wipe dalvic and partition catche both
But still same problem persist
Please tell me full procedure
How to forcefully install in system??
As you said in previous post
Thanx

To forcefully install it, take the apk of the mx player app and move it to /system/app with rw-r--r-- permissions!

Maybe "Fix permissions" in "advance" in ss menu will help but i have doubts. Best thing to do is wipe and clean install rom again
I did a permissions fix through ss didn't do anything..... Someone must have a solution to this
