[Q] Transformer Prime TF201 JB crashes with USB Mouse - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

My Jelly Bean upgrade fixed most of the weird quirky issues I was having on ICS (tearing/jumping screens, strange lagginess) --but introduced one new bug that I found -- I am curious if anyone else is having this problem:
When I attach a USB mouse to the keyboard, after about 10 minutes or so, the tablet will lockup, and then reboot itself. Now, I've only tried two different kinds of wireless mice that have a USB dongle -- haven't had a chance to test with a straight USB mouse -- has anyone else had any issues with USB, in particular crashing after devices are attached? I've tested this consistently now -- I've had no reboots and been rock solid up until I plug in a USB mouse and then anytime from 5 minutes to 15 minutes or so later, it'll crash and reboot.

Hi, I have the same issue : when a mouse is plugged, just after the tablet goes on hold (en veille), it reboot itself.
I've tried with 3 differents mice, still the same issue.
When no mouse is plugged, everything is all right.
Hope an update will fix this soon.

No prob here!

Why does my connector stop working?

It seems like if I don't use my tab continuously, sometimes the 30-pin connector will stop connecting to things. I won't be able to use the keyboard dock or the charger until I reboot the device. Is this a known issue or do I have a defective Tab 10.1?
Thanks for the help.
Edit: I forgot to add that I was unable to connect to the WiFi yesterday until I rebooted.

Android File Transfer and Mac

I finally got my "2007" macbook pro to recognize my samsung S3 as a disk drive. Anyways, now i'm facing a slight issue, when AFT loads it kills my other USB ports. for example if i have my mouse plugged in, my mouse will stop working. I'll have to unplug and plug it back in, sometimes i have to do that 2 -3 times. The other day my keyboard and touchpad stopped working, which forced a reboot. Anyone else faced issues like this? and is there a fix?

[Q] PS3 Controller over USB - (GameKlip Cable) - JellyBam 3.3.0

I hope someone with more knowledge on this setup can help me out. I would ask in the JellyBam thread but I don't have enough street cred yet.
I purchased a PS3 controller and the GameKlip with the male-to-male USB adapter. I have been able to successfully pair the controller over Bluetooth with the Sixaxis app from the Play store. I would also like to use the USB cable because when paired with the app, you can't pair any other device, like my Bluetooth headset. I would also assume the USB would conserve battery on both devices.
The USB connection works randomly... so i know it's not a complete waste of time trying to get it to work.
The issue to fix is why the connection is random. My thoughts are maybe something with the Kernel that comes with JellyBam, I could try a different one, or an app that will configure the USB state to more reliably keep the controller connected.
When the controller does work it is after a random number of times connecting and disconnecting the USB cable and pressing the "P" power button on the PS3 controller. When it does connect it will highlight an icon on my home screen and I can move the selection around with the joystick. It seems to disconnect as soon as I touch the screen or enter anther app. I have to go though the process of plugging and unplugging again to get it to work after the disconnect.
Another note, this same setup seems to work on my wifes i777 with an older (ICS) AOKP build. I have seen in some of my searching that JB doesn't have the same support for USB configurations as ICS. I would hate to go back to ICS just to get this working... but that may be my only option.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and please share any information you have!

Logitech Unifying receiver lag

I was using my wireless Logitech desktop set but I noticed some lag after not using it for some seconds. When I keep using the mouse or keyboard there is no problem and everything works fine. But when I stop typing or stop mousing for longer than three seconds, the tablet doesn't recognize any input anymore. When I move the mouse or use the keyboard, nothing happens, but after two seconds any input is recognized again.
So I have to keep typing or else I have to wait some seconds to let the tablet recognize any input. This is unworkable.
I tested it with two desktop sets with two different Unifying receivers. When I use a corded mouse or keyboard, everything's fine. It seems to me that there is some sort of logitech standby mode which the tablet can't handle or something.
What can I do abaout this?
Added logcat of connecting usb, a freeze moment, and the disconnection. But I see nothing wrong there...

I bought an other Logitech Wireless mouse (standard receiver, no Unify) and that one works perfectly. So it looks like it has something to do with Unify, not wireless in particular.
Anyone?!
The Shield tablet has the same issue:

Maybe it has something to do with the Tegra K1?

It is really annoying. My Shield Tablet is fantastic, except for this issue with the keyboard/mouse. Sad panda.

And no solutions yet. Maybe a different kernel will work, but I like to keep my N9 stock (the first months hehehe)
Any solution?
Has there been any solution to this issue yet? I too am having the same problem.
Work Around
I have a work around that seems to fix this issue. For this to work you will need to be root. Also note that this solution will cause all USB devices to remain on at all times and will not survive a reboot. My experience is mostly with linux and very little with android. I expect someone should be able to modify the following script fairly easily for a more permanent solution.
Open your favorite terminal emulator and type the following four commands pressing enter after each:
su
for i in /sys/bus/usb/devices/*/power/control;
do echo on > $i;
done
This script toggles the power control setting for all usb devices from the auto state to always on. Hope this helps!
I have a slight lag with my logitech controller through USB OTG. It's just a split second lag, but it's there right from when you plug it in. Makes it unusable for gaming. No issues whatsoever with my Logitech bluetooth keyboard however.

Problems with OTG connected USB devices

Ok, so has anyone else had problems with this..
when you plug in an OTG connected usb device (i have the same problem with usb drives and midi controllers so far) and in the notification bar pull down it will say charging usb device, and when you choose to switch it to something else, like transfer files or connect a midi device, it just goes right back to charging the device after changing it for a few seconds or until you tap the screen or check it again.
This has completely stopped me from being able to connect a midi device, and causes the usb drives to get hot, although I can still transfer files in an 3rd party file manager, but the notification bar will never stay in tranfer mode, and it has never gone into midi mode at all.
This is not an issue with my OTG adapter, as I also have the same problems with borrowed adapters, as well as using DEX. In fact in dex, if I plug in a usb drive and switch to transfer files mode it will crash. Has anyone else experienced these problems? Are any of these apps for OTG management in the play store useful for this? They seem to be useless based on the reviews except for testing a UTG adapter. Thanks!
btw I don't have root, my note 8 is fully updated to BQLA version.
Hi, check the battery! If internal resistance goes up so does noise.
Check the cable and connector on the phone as well.
