Some of you per'haps use Cyanogenmod nightly for S2 but their buidbot is out and no update since november, so I decided to compile it for me directly from the Repos it is long and needs a linux box so I decided to share it if you wants to update without compiling during ours.

Cant you just delete the bootanimation.zip?
Need some help. Looks like I'm getting charging issue that happens when you have ICS on here. So my touchpad wouldnt not boot.... I was able to get it to boot after a lot of playing around! Next i hear i need to have JC Sullins charger fix installed but i can't find it.... all the downloads are "no longer there" so if someone could show me where i could download that would be sweet so this doesnt happen again.

Unfortunately that is one rom I haven't tried but I haven't had problems with OaT's or the latest nightly which I'm back on .I did find something called TPCharge Test -v1.0 by JC Sullins here is a link https://www.box.com/shared/yme3mqk4bvbog4zyms2d .
Haven't tried as I don't have a problem.
And a direct link to JC Sullins files http://goo.im/devs/jcsullins/cmtouchpad

The charging fix you request is incorporated into the later CM9 nightly and the patch itself is no longer in jcsullins archive on goo.im: http://goo.im/devs/jcsullins/cmtouchpad
In /apps/ you will see TPChargeTest - a utility i use to check rate of charge/max charge.
Test patches are in /testing/ - once added to the nightly, they are removed. The charging fix is no longer there. You'll need the latest nightly for that.
I'm on nightly 0903 and have my best charge/drain performance to date of any nightly.:good:
Hi,
For a couple of days now, the GPS doesn't work with the CM10.1 nightlies.
I checked my device with an app called "Z-Device test" and it says there is no GPS in my phone.
Nevertheless, the hardware is OK, as it works with the stable builds of CM.
Any ideas?

I'm having similar problems. Although Z-Device test thinks that I do have GPS. None of the apps ever get a reading and the little icon on the status bar never appears.
I've tried resetting it using GPS status to reset all cached GPS data and also 'Download GPS assistance data' but it has not helped.
Its been fixed... New nightlies are back with gps :|

Let me elaborate, sorry I'm relatively new to cyanogen mod. I've got it set to nightlies and check for updates is turned on to daily. I've also checked manually but there are no updates available.
If I check the build date in about phone it is Fri Jul 12 12:25:13 PDT 2013.
This correlates to:

There seem to be more recent updates but I'm not sure how to tell if I've got them..
Hopefully it will start to roll down into the other CM based roms now as well.
It may be that you have to delete your ROM as the dirty upgrade will also contain the old/broken things as well. I had to re-do mine from a fresh corrected rom before things started to work as I expected. My $.02.
It has started working this evening...does CM update quietly? I thought I would see a different update version install if it did update.
Perhaps it has fixed itself somehow. I'm a bit confused about this.

You have to flash the nightlies through recovery in order to update. A full wipe is recommended before flashing.

Hi All,
I've got my S2 (i9100) Dual Booting, between KitKat and Lollipop.... and whilst the KitKat is just fine, the guide said Lollipop will boot with Apolo Kernel.
Well so far I've downloaded 2x Lollipop kernels from Apolo, and neither of them boot it up....
So, are there any other Kernels out there that are for Android 5.x (Lollipop) please, and if so, where...??
Thanks, Lister

Only apolo kernel currently support lollipop. Gustavo kernel will start supporting lollipop soon (I think).
Make sure you download the proper version of Apolo kernel, which is 8.0 beta3 for CM12, otherwise it won't work. Try Apolo-8.0_Beta3_Regular-TWRP.zip and try running the kernel cleaning script before installing Apolo.
Hi @gsstudios,
Thank you for your reply, I look forward to any updates regarding this kernel... As there is only is only one out there at the moment, as you've also mentioned. Are you involved in this Gustavo kernel??
Also, may I pick your brains over something that I posted here, as I saw your reply on a similar nature here....
(sorry, work has crept in... so I'll update this post a bit later with current situation)
Many thanks, Lister

Hi @acydwarp,
Yeah i followed the Apolo thread, and selected the (branch 8) link, however it took me to like about 6x different files.... So I tried the one i thought was the most normal one... ie: Regular.
Apolo-8.0_Beta3_Regular-TWRP.zip and this is the one I am having problems with. After flashing this, it won't boot Lollipop for me. I've also tried the LITE version too, and that't not worked either.
What's this "Cleaning script" all about, how do I find it, and what does it do...? I've seen reference to it mentioned in other threads too, is it the same as RomNuker2 or something similar to that....??
Thanks, Lister

You mean kernel cleaning script by hawker? It deletes left over files from kernels and deletes the current kernel to prevent issues from occurring. You can find the kernel cleaning script by using google or you can go to the Gustavo kernel thread and there will be a link that will take you to download the script. Cheers.
What cm12 beta build are you on? The latest builds are experimental and the builds before that are buggy too. This could have stopped compatibility with apolo kernel. Also, Omni 5.0 for our device is facing serious problems with this kernel. Avoid it until this problem is fixed!
Since the MadTeam forums and jenkins androidarmv6 have gone down, I am posting my backups of CM11 here, as well as backups of Odin Multi Downloader 4.28, JPE Baseband, and ClockworkMod recovery.

Download Samsung USB Drivers:
Samsung USB Drivers - GDrive
Samsung USB Drivers - Mediafire
Google Apps for the Roms above (Strongly NOT RECOMMENDED, you will have no space, and phone will be much slower) -
CM11 (Android 4.4) - https://opengapps.org/ - Use ARM, 4.4, then select Pico, and flash through Philz Touch, then pray you have even a single megabyte of storage left.
CM7.2 (Android 2.3.7) - http://www.mediafire.com/file/bs063kb0m742o5l/gapps-gb-20131027-signed.zip/file - Flash through Philz Touch, then hope they actually work.
Odin Multi Downloader 4.28, the JPE baseband, and Clockwork Recovery are attached below.
I suggest using PhilZ Touch Recovery instead of Clockwork, but I found that I had to flash Clockwork through Odin first so that I could then upgrade to PhilZ touch by flashing the PhilZ Touch .zip through Clockwork.
Philz Touch Recovery can be found here.
To use Odin Multi Downloader, you will need to use the One Package method to flash files, which will require the use of Europa_v1.0.ops which can be found here: https://gist.github.com/psyke83/1074768
If you are flashing to Cyanogen from a 2.1 rom, YOU NEED TO FLASH THE JPE BASEBAND! If you do not, you will experience a bootloop. You can flash it by ticking one package in odin, selecting Europa_v1.0.ops as ops, and then selecting the AMSS-I5500LUYJPE.tar to flash.
Edit 4/3/19: Added Samsung USB Drivers to use with ADB and Odin.
Edit2 4/30/19: My GDrive Galaxy 5 Rom Collection is here
Edit3 12/8/19: I finally obtained v3.0 of Psyke83's CM7! I have mirrored it and added it to the download list.
Edit4 08/14/20: Added CM 10 to the archive.

Hello, from your earlier posts I assume you have had the Galaxy 5 in the past. Would you have any CM 7.2 build that is dated later than 02/06/2012? All the CM 7.2 RC2 builds went down after goo.im shut down in 2015. I foyu have any CM 7 roms, please share them with me, and I'll add it to the backup post in the development thread. Thanks.

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone would happen to have a copy of the official firmware for the Samsung Galaxy 5 GT-I5500?
Unfortunately, it appears to be behind a paywall on the Sammobile website. Any country will do as I'm just trying to flash clean, official firmware on my device which currently has CyanogenMod on it.
I'd really appreciate your help, thanks for your time!

I'm currently not in front of the computer at the moment, but having read the linked post, it seems like SamFirm should be able to download any firmware for any Samsung device?
So if you enter GT-I5500 for the model number and a CSC of "JPC" for the UK/Ireland region version, does it actually find an update that it can download?
Thanks again for your time.

A tad off-topic but I was wondering if yous might be able to provide some more info about this.
All I want to do is flash stock firmware on the phone and reset it to as if it was never rooted.
For some reason, I can't get my GT-I5500 to be detected by Odin while in it's in Download mode.
In fact, it doesn't even show up on my computer when it's powered up and connected normally via its data cable.
About my phone
Android: 4.2.2
CyanogenMod: 10.1-20130411-MADTEAM-galaxy5
Recovery: CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.2
My attempts so far
USB Drivers: v1.5.65.0, Android USB Driver for Windows. Despite these, the phone doesn't even appears under the devices list of My PC on Windows 10.
Odin: v3.13.1, v3.12.3, v3.10.7, v3.10, v3.09, v4.44 Multi Downloader.
Kies: Getting real desperate.
Other details
Reset: carried out a Factory Reset on the phone so it's just only running the default custom ROM.
USB Cable: it's capable of carrying both charge and data. Plus, I used the same exact cable to connect a different device to Odin successfully without any issues just now.
ADB: I've activated Developer Options and enabled USB debugging but don't know if there's any commands I can run that could help?
Recovery: CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.2 Is there something I could flash via Recovery that would help?
Any suggestions or ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks!

The problem is that you are using the wrong drivers and the wrong Odin. Odin 3.x is for modern phones (such as Galaxy s8, etc). You will need to download the Odin that I attached in the original post. Here is the Odin (Odin 4.28)
Samsung USB Drivers: GDrive Link
Note: I'm also not sure if this will work well on Windows 10. It should, but I never tested it. I did all my Galaxy 5 flashing on an old netbook running Windows XP Professional 32-bit with Service Pack 3.
