[Q] LWW Stock Kernel - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hey, guys, how can i get back to LWW stock kernel?
Does anyone has a link of LWW stock kernel?

Flash the ftf file of your phone with flashtool.
It will automaticly flash back to stock kernel
Make a backup of your stuffs before flashing
Sent from my WT19i

You can just flash the stock kernel without wiping out any data from your phone .
select the ftf in flashtool and select the option to just flash the kernel.
The option to flash the kernel will be provided to you prior flashing the ftf in the right side of the flashtool window while selecting the ftf file.
Make sure you just flash the kernel if that's what you want .
HIT THANKS IF I HAVE HELPED YOU !

Yes, you need to lock your bootloader if you want. The method is almost the same as you did to unlock it.
The Bootloader will still be Unlocked (If I'm not Wrong)

2. select flashmode and then then select the sony ics rom 4.1.b.0.431
3. press the volume down button and flash this rom....
4. power on voila stock rom with custom kernel.....
am i right with this procedure........

while flashing the stock ROM (.ftf), make sure you check 'exclude kernel', then proceed. I'm not sure whether this is the right method to flash custom Kernel and Stock ROM, but afaik, it should work.. If you wanna be more sure, then try going through a few tutorials if you find them, or wait for a more experienced member to correct me if I'm wrong.
And also, I'm not sure of how efficiently stock ICS will work with mesa kernel..
Not claiming to be a more experienced user but...
1.) flash stock rom using flash mode
2.) flash kernel using fastboot mode
Ready.
You can not accidentally relock the bootloader by flashing a rom or kernel.
Sent from my phone.
No you will not relock your bootloader. If you Unlocked via the test point method you never need to relock your bootloader, whoever posted the second post needs to reread your question.
Flash using flashtool the ftf, then before you boot up your stock rom, flash MESA kernel via fastboot and flashtool then boot up for the first time. Done.
well i already flashed the rom.... and mind you never flash the kernel and then the rom(ticking xclude kernel) cuz the flashing stucks at 99%....
always flash rom first bootup and then poweroff and then flash kernel.....
also use bloatware remover removes the blotware and makes the stock rom superfast....... loving it......
although i cant seem to figureout on how to use v6 supercharger though....
ANY HELP ON THAT
THANKS AND TON....
and nvr get afraid while rooting u always get something in the last.... even if its a paperweight

You shouldnt have to bootup before flashing the kernel. It has nothing to do with the actual boot aslong as the kernel is correct for the rom you are trying to boot. If you want a fresh install with MESA kernel then you can flash the kernel in fast boot straight after flashing the ftf with flashtool.

[Q] backup stock kernel

I would like to test out the MESA kernel, but before I do that I want to backup my stock kernel so that I have something to go back to. How can I back up my stock kernel?
Is there a way to extract the kernel (as a .img file that I could flash if I ever want to go back to my stock kernel) from the FTF that I have already flashed?
Thanks,
Tim
Idk about backing up kernel, but what you can do if you want to return to stock kernel, in flashtool when you select what you wanna flash, just exclude everything but kernel, that should do it

[Q] Needed help in installing stock rom

Hi Everyone,
I am using Xperia Neo. My friend helped me in installing custom ics rom from unlocking bootloader step to installing a custom rom.
Now i tried to install a custom rom, but it didnt work even though i followed the right steps.
Now when i tried to switch to the old rom it gives a status 7 error (similar one to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805631&highlight=status+7)
From the above thread i got the following steps
Simply flash an official ROM (.ftf) with Flashtool in Flashmode mode;
Flash a correct Kernel (extract it from Cyanogen rom zip, boot.img usually) with Flashtool in Fastboot mode;
Enter recovery CMW;
Perform a full wipe factory reset, and cache wipe nextly;
Finish with applying custom ROM by CWM;
Can someone help me with the first step
Simply flash an official ROM (.ftf) with Flashtool in Flashmode mode;
Is there a thread which has these steps?
Currently I am on a custom kernel and not on the base kernel will that create any problem in doing the first step?
Please help me on this. I am just a beginner.
Thanks in Advance.

Flashing a .ftf in this case implies that you have to flash just the baseband version. u must have flashed the complete firmware. while flashing new baseband you must exclude the kernel. the .ftf file has to be placed in the C:\Flashtool\firmwares directory. also u have not wiped the Dalvik cache.....
Get the ICS Stock rom from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690
Flash it via Flashtool with stock kernel.
This will flash your phone to Stock rom.
I have installed the latest flash tool and i have also downloaded the Stock Rom.
Now the problem is the device not getting detected, i tried connecting the device to PC while it is in recovery mode and also when it is inside the OS. It is only getting at a point of time when it OS loads and then it again goes undetected.So I am not able to flash the stock rom. I have also installed the ADB drivers from flash tool.
What can I do now? Please help me out...

Maybe u should check first your phone led if there's red light blinking means you are out of battery. Try to charge ur batt. for several hours or just borrow an full charged batt. from ur friend and flash it using flash tool or SUS.

[Q] Stuck on SONY logo screen....HELP!!!

Folks,
I was trying to install Custom ROM from here:-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603919
After installing the ROM, now my Neo V is stuck at SONY logo and doesn't move forward :crying: I had backed my ROM thru CWM, but it won't even go into the recovery mode now. I even tried to flash the 4.1.B.0.587 ftf file using flashtool, but to no avail.
I was on a rooted but Stock ROM 4.0.4 build 4.1.B.0.587. Please see attached screenshots for more details. Please help. Thanks.
Resolved it myself by doing a repair thru PC Companion. :good:
power off ur fone ( remove battery and put it back again ) ... then through flash tool go to flash mode and select 4.0.4 ICS 4.1.B.0.587(FTF file) then wait till the flash tool prepared the frimware to flash then hold back buttin and connect ur fone to PC
Flash a new ftf file
Just reflash the stock ROM,using flashtool...
If u get any error in flashtool, then try flashing another ftf...

Hello!
Remember this: You CAN'T use stock kernel with Cyanogenmod. You need to flash the kernel included inside the zip you downloaded.
And as far as I know, there is no CTC kernel for Xperia Mini or Xperia MDPI.
Since you already said that you unlocked the bootloader of your phone, try reflashing stock ICS firmware of Xperia Mini using Flashtool. Then if you want to install the ICS Cyanogenmod, download the zip file for your phone. After downloading the zip, flash the kernel that can be found inside the zip. That kernel has already a CWM installed so no need to install CWM manually. After flashing the kernel, install now the Cyanogenmod zip.

did u mess up ur phone in previous?!?! it looks like.
1. unlock bootloader is only once. it will STAY unlocked no matter what u do. so dont do it again
2.before installing a custom rom like CM, flashing a stock.ftf is good idea like u do, BUT:
a) make sure its the latest version of flashtool
b) install the drivers in the drivers folder of flashtool.
c) may install android SDK to get the google usb drivers (dont install ALL!!! just leave all like it is & install)
2.1 SO NOW if u flash a stock.ftf fw for YOUR phone, IT WILL BOOT 100%. ELSE:
a) u doing sth wrong (wrong fw etc)
b) ur phone is broken , a stock ics ftf will boot 100%, remember.
after this install cm like u say (kernel flash 1st than rom.--> boot)
