Hi, I'm new here, and I just wanted to ask if anyone has tried running PSX4droid on a stock or rooted wildfire.
Sorry if this was a question that was already asked before
thanks for any future response
i remember reading this thread a while back but never got round to trying it -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=963395
not sure how good it would be with on screen controls on such a small screen.
If you have luck with it let me know.
ps. you dont say whether your rooted and rom'd but it looks like for best performance you
wanna be on cm7 or similar.not sure how well stock would fair?
EDIT: NVM, Already linked above.
Thanks for the quick response
I'll check it out right now and probably post later.
I did try the Nesoid on my rooted wildfire running at 691 mhz and it works great without any problems. And I just wanted to see if it could run something much better than NES games.
I tried it yesterday and loaded Final Fantasy 5. After choosing the ROM, it just showed a black screen and kicked me back to the selection screen.
More info on this would be nice
Trying the fPSe right now.. but whenever I choose the app, It just shows a black screen, doesn't even let me choose the BIOS or anything..
might try again a while later, but no progress for now. Guess I'm stuck with NES games for a while
By the way I'm using CM7 RC2 and running at 691mhz, if that helps...

Follow below link for FPse PS1 emulator:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=963395
In FPSE, you can directly run the PS1 game (either ISO or BIN), but all games does not play. You need to try multiple games. Anyway, in the link, I have already mentioned some games which I tried.
yeah.. I guess I have to try a couple more games..I tried to play Final Fantasy 5 on it and thought "hey, If Final Fantasy 7 worked on it, I bet 5 would work"
Guess I'd better try more ROMS.. Thanks for the help guys..
I have searched the forums and can't find someone with the same problems i am experiencing i hope someone can help me with a solution.
Problem:
If i play it for too long the game starts lagging horribly, i found this to happen a lot when playing trough some of the cut scenes.
And i think this one is only on our phone so....
When i press the menu key, which should take me to the home screen, it should save the game at it's current state, but it just closes it and i have to start from my last saved game or checkpoint.
Also i played the game on Froyobread V21 and now on V22 and had to start over because for some reason my apps weren't backed up and i had to download it again.
If you have any of the problems or know solutions write below.

I tried a lot of fixes but nothing works i tried:
Full wipe
Uninstalling the app
Moving it to SD Card (no change in loading speed)
Changing ROMs (Froyobread only!)
But still no solution.
P.S. And i see that Inotia 3 is one of the most downloaded free apps in the market so can someone with Froyobread confirm that it's working without any problem on the rom.
Me too. Even i used OC, mddi, and make it to lower quality using chainfire3d. but it still very laggy for playing it long.
Maybe it is inotia3's bug, or our phone isn't strong enough.
But i still waiting the next version of this game, hope this can be better.
I used Elelinux v.3 and FroyoBread 23b.
Better phone needed for it
Just get used to the fact that X8 is far not the powerful phone. For this type of games you just need a better phone.
As long as I keep having X8 I'm using it only for working/apps purposes. I'll play games when I buy a new phone, since on X8 they load so long, that there is no pleasure from playing them ...

No, no, no, no, That's not true our phone has run games with way better graphics

Mee to, Using floyo 1.0
It's very bad, coz it's a good game :s
Its sad to know that many people has the same problem with this game app, when i get laggy ive tried to activated flight mode on my phone, and its work well with the problem, but u cant used the nline shop, because the flight mode will turn off your internet connection. At least i can played in offline mode without laggy prob, and i can play this game in undervolt condition for longlife battery used.
Ps , iam using samsung galaxy tab 7'

That is usefull information. That means it's not the device that causes the problem, it's the app itself. Thank you for the reply.
my brother sent me a addfree version and the problem was over, at least for me...
1.1.5
Yep addfree version fixes the problem.. at least on gingerdx v004
I have tested Flight mode activated, only one crash, and no lag. Don t have a adfree version...
Sent from my X8 using XDA Premium App
when i used GingerDX 5, i found no more laggy.
still lagging
i just installed gingerdx on my phone few days ago
but i still got major lag on inotia3 game
can anyone tell me if there any kind of setting in gingerdx
that i should do to reduce lag
so far,i still haven't touch any setting in this new rom

i worried that i would make it worse then it is now
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276

Well.....
Im sorry to say this but i have given up on Inotia 3 because of the bugs and lag.
Good news is i have found a replacement game with the same controls, so no multi-touch needed and the graphics are better also it doesn't have any lag at all.
The game i am talking about is Destinia it's just a great replacement for Inotia and i know that all of you who like Inotia will like it.
Helo people, I am also user who had same problem with Inotia3, lots of lags and reboots.
I am using gingerdx 018, where to find addfree version ?
For me beter replacment is zenonia 3.
I must say thats great game
stock rom - not rooted , cuz i brick it and need to do everything again..

Make a backup before trying this!
You have to dowload supercharger.sh.txt, after, rename it to superchager.sh and place it to the root of your sdcard.
disable "lock home in memory" in your cyanogenmod settings.
Now open terminal emulator in your x8 and write this:
su
sh sdcard/supercharger.sh
in please select scrolling speed, enter 0
in please enter option, enter 1
is home is locked in memory, enter no
and now, you have some settings (2 to 6) just enter a number, I use the aggressive 2 settings (option 3), but some people like the balanced settings 1.
after choosing your option reboot (option 16) and enjoy...
For me it's work great, and sorry for my bad english
hey guys, my optimus one keeps rebooting whenever i try to install an hd game like air attack hd, drift mania hd etc ..while reckless racing and some others work fine ..has anyone else faced this problem? ..am on megatron v1 and franco kernel v19.2
HD is a suffix that doesn't really mean anything in this context... it just looks cool.
When exactly does the restart happen? When you start the install, after a while, when you're done and launching the game for the first time...?
What's your system like? Do you use anything like DarkTremor? Do you install to internal memory or SD? Have you connected your phone to your PC and checked if there are any leftovers in .android_secure? Do you have ADB ready? Have you cleared your cache?
air attack hd is not compatible for the p500

specifically what hd games are you talking about?
honestly i can't remember THOSE HD GAMES that caused the rebooting..
i remembered just one..
GuerillaBob.. and mostly Gameloft HD Games..
that's all i can remember
The specifics would be:
1. Connect to your PC, check the SD card for errors, then check if the list of files in the .android_secure matches what your phone reports to be installed on SD.
2. To clear the cache, restart into recovery mode, then select "clear cache"
All of this probably won't help with most Gameloft titles though... they are simply not designed for your hardware (and as far as I remember not sold to people with such devices). Obviously that still shouldn't crash the installer (though it is expected to crash the game), but my guess is that the games are simply too big.
guerrilla bob is not even supported on our phone so theres no way you could've downloaded it from the market. WAREZ
i downloaded guerrilla bob from some site and installed it..it runs for a few minutes then closes automatically..but, that's another matter...

does the game size matter?..nova is running fine even though it's bigger in size than the ones i am talking about..
Let's put it this way: if a game is big, it usually has a more complex structure inside the APK as well and that can cause issues... at least that's what it looks like to me, but I haven't worked my way through that part of the Android source yet. Of course, it should not happen, but who knows what the malware you've downloaded is trying to do. Just stick to the market, for your and our sake, which is BTW also the component that's responsible for "not compatible" messages. APKs themselves don't have any concept of "compatibility".
in regard to the size of the game' i think that doesnt even matter.. i have a NOVA also running on my phone and it works fine on stock 2.2 rom ~
about guerillabob.. i managed to play this game that's when i was on custom rom (void #forever) OC'd @ 768mHz..
HD Games TIP : tried to find APK that is running on ARMV6.. (GuerillaBob for ARMv6) coz i think the APK's that you downloaded are not working on AMRv6 that's why when we tried to install the game' it reboots our phone automatically.. we all know that phone has their different specs' hardware and limitations
HOPE IT HELPS ^_^

yaa, i'll search if the games are compatible before downloading..
I set Chainfire 3d to these settings for Shadowgun.
In Chainfire3d: Default OpenGL settings
Reduce texture quality
Reduce texture size
Disable MapBuffer emu
The download of the additional files gets to 100% and then it crashes. Any idea on how I can get it to finish?
I have it on my XOOM, where in its file structure can I just copy it over to my Nook? Thanks.
I just copied over the entire com.madfingergames.shadowgun folder from my SD card on my phone and put it on the sd card for my nook. After doing that I started the app, it downloaded past 100 percent, but started right up. Plays perfectly so far.
You guys got shadiwgun working on this wow make me regret giving my nook to my wife and getting a Acer iconia tab
Lol

Mine works until its loading the first level. I can see the intro flawlessly, but when it finishes or is skipped I crash after a while in the loading screen. I don't get FC it just got back to previous screen (Chainfire)
it plays. very stuttery and jerky past the first level, but it still plays. When I first bought the game i couldn't get it to play but if you know how to search right, you can find a version floating around that has been optimized for none dual core devices.
That's the best I can give you. I paid for the game so i won't direct anyone to a pirated copy, but there is one floating out there that doesn't need tegra.
I tried the low version and still got same result. Maybe there's something wrong with my sd cache files since it kept freezing during the download...
Sent from my NookColor using Tapatalk
Here is what I did to get it to work:
1) Get ShadowGun v1.0 and SD files
2) On Chainfire3D go to default open gl settings
3) Set plugin "NVIDIA", check "reduce texture size", "disable mapbuffer emu" and "hide cf3d id" (check reduce texture quality if you want better performance)
4) Run game.
5) ???????
6) Yeah... Profit!
How do I get it from the market is says my nook color is not compatable?
The market version isn't going to work. You have to google for it.
Where do u get the plugin from? Can anyone help?
google "chainfire 3d plugins". you should be able to find it. By the way, the plugins are zip files, once you've extracted them from the file you download just put them on the root of your sd card and install from the program.
I have tried several times, but it will not find my plugin file. I downloaded the correct one and used drop box to put it on my nook. Can anyone help thanks
The files:
libGLEMU_QUALCOMM.zip
libGLEMU_POWERVR.zip
libGLEMU_NVIDIA.zip
need to be on the root folder of your SDcard.
Don't forget that you need to "install plugins" before "Use plugin/Load a plugin"
Igot that done, but now it bombs out after it gets to 99% of the first download. Any suggestions?
I had it bomb on all of the downloads. It you keep trying, they usually download. Did you try installing the sd files? When I did it caused me to freeze on the downloads. Keep trying, took me awhile... Nothing like downloading til 99% then freezing.. drove me nuts

well I got everything installed, and the game seems to run smooth, but my controls aren't on the screen.....
-_- Are you kidding me..
Read my graphically intensive games thread (includes Modern Combat 3, NOVA 3, Dead Trigger, Shadow Gun, and Mass Effect Infiltraitor) for any games info and how it works, why it works, and how to do it yourself. No Chainfire is needed. Shadowgun and Dead Trigger can even be downloaded from the Play Store. Im not trying to sound like an ass, but make sure you SEARCH before you post. I had to learn it the hard way xD
All the stuff in the thread is CM7 and CM9 compatible.

January 2nd 2012 release
Release APK (source code)
This is the main version, for anyone who does not own an Xperia Play.
Very cool, I'll be following this pretty closely then.
Mine crashed as soon as I attempted to run a few roms... :/
Any specific settings I'm missing??
I tried a few ROMs and all of them loaded up but of course most have the usual visual problems. I just used the default settings. There aren't many settings to tweak right now anyway.
I tried mucking with a few of them. Then I reset the data to make sure I was on defaults. Might just be my particular roms :/

I got Mario64 and Fzero64 running what looked like flawlessly. SFRush, Rush2, Pilotwings64, and Shadows of the Empire loaded but had issues. Fog isn't rendered unfortunately. N64oid has fog support.
Oh and I am using the CM7.2 RC0 KANG ROM. I don't know if his customized Dalingrin kernel behaves differently. It still doesn't work with N64oid though.
I'm on just CM 7.1 I haven't really had time to play with other versions. I'm not even sure where to go from 7.1
I tried OOT, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and a few others to no avail.
Just want to bump this. This emulator has a lot of potential but it needs more members posting problems and contributing to the system. It works decently well on the nook!! Hope on over to their forum and give it a shot.
I have been using Mupen64 for almost a month, and and have experienced none of the problems I encounters using the early versions of N64oid, the only versions of that app I could get working on the nook. Mupen64 has run Zelda OOT and Perfect Dark with no FC so far.. The Zelda has some scramble issues in the maps on the start screen, but the dungeon maps are fine, so there are really no playability issues. I never know how many rupees I have, and but whatever.. A huge improvement, and and the app is free on the dev's website.
Well worth a try if you game on your Nook. I find that the best 64 games trump most of the market fare by a wide margin, although none of the games make use of the sensors or touch screen of course.
Oh yeah: has worked on every iteration of the MiRaGe Kang, and currently running the 2/1 update.
can't find roms for mupen64plus on note 2
hi guys been searching the forums for this answer but have come up empty handed.
I moved the roms to my extSdcard under the directory downloads but when i use mupen64 to look for games in that directory it doesn't see any games; when i use astro file manager or even the epsxe app i see the roms there.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
