Krusell 20121 Screen protector - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi everyone! I got XS about one week ago (touch firmware 6,ABAE,12w16 and one pixel stuck on top of the statusbar ). Screen protector not I received in the box (but I have Smart tags) and ordered one today http://www.amazon.com/Krusell-20121-Invisible-Protective-Self-Healing/dp/B007IVCEUI . Can I apply over the existing one (I do not want shatter proof sheet to get off). Has anyone done this and what do you think? Thank you!

Yes you can apply that over existing one.No problem.

Thank you! Tomorrow I have to apply carefully. About stuck pixel, anyone has this problem? Is visible only on a black background.

Yeah it happens,if it really bothers or something sent it to Sony or your carrier if you have a warranty...

I have warranty, but Sony said that 1-2 pixels are acceptable. I do not mind too much, but it's the first time I have this problem. I hope to be the first and last...

Scratch removal

Hey all.
I recently got my x 10 and after reading these forums assumed the screen came with a protector on it. I checked it when I got it and it looks like it has one. But after trying to remove it am starting to think its just the outline of the reflective/shiny surface. If anyone can confirm that it is a protector that would be great.
Anyways I seem to some how of gotten a light scratch on my screen. Its very light but enough to get the rainbow effect and be annoying. Does anyone know of a scratch removal solution that is safe to use on the x 10 screen.
Look forward to hearing back.
Regards,
Dylan

I can confirm that there's a screen-protector on the X10 from the fabric, removed it myself, just be a bit rough with it
Have done some research and it seems novus plastic polish is the way to go. Has anyone used this before and know of it will be ok for use on the x10 shiny screen??

Thought i should just add.. the pree applied protector is quite hard to peel of.. once you get it going it it's soon done but it's hard to make that first corner let go and you have to pull it quite hard to rip it of. but it should not leave any uggly marks or rests. did not leave any for me atleast (i removed mine couse i messed up and made a huge mark in it)
Hey. Thanks for the replies. Just a little worried about trying to get it off if its not really the screen protector lol.

Did you ever give it a go? I have a couple of scratches on mine and would love to get them off. Have heard talk of white toothpaste being valuable of phone screens but I'm a little hesitant about that...
I removed the pre applied film and have never scratched the screen.

Can anyone tell me how durable the screen is from scratching? nd I heard that the protection was there to prevent it from screen shattering on a drop is that true?

A thin piece of film will not stop the glass from shattering, its not like the film car windows use. I've been using my x10 with no film and all is fine.

How easily can the screen be scratched without the film?

My daughter and I both have x10's. I've dropped my phone several times on ceramic tiles without issues. She on the other hand often drops hers on concrete and keeps it with keys in a tight fit since she doesn't use a purse and just shoves the phone into her jeans. She has pitting and scratches.
It's mineral glass similar to that on a good watch.

I've dropped mine repeatedly, and dont have a single scratch, i do however have a crack at the bottom of the screen, but that took my 78 kg on top of the phone and a metal button to do, plus falling :/
How to remove a screen protector
Well the easiest way to do it would be to use a piece of scotch-tape.
If you apply the scotch-tape to one of your protectors corners, it should be fairly easy to peel it off...
Felt pretty stupid when i found out that I have 2 protector s on. The stock and the spare one supplied but I've let them on as my 4 year old plays on it often.

im very tempted to remove it but dont think i will. i have horrible luck with touch screen phones lol
i broke my previous iphone screen 3 times.
Wow thanks guys this is amazing. I have had my x10 since may 2010 and I only just found out it has a screen protector. I have taken it off and now all the annoying surface scratches has gone.
Thanks!!!!!!

No way... When I got the phone there was an obvious cover stick on the phone which I assumed was the screen protector and thought how bad it was and removed it straight away. I just realised that that wasn't it and I still have one on there. Man that's a fantastic protector, I didn't even know it was there..! Brilliant!

Back cover design

I have a white x10, and few days ago I saw on net some designed back covers for iphone . So my question is:do this kind of designed back cover exist for x10 ?
www.gelaskins.com
Thx, to bad i cant order them in my country :S
Why don't you make your own on photoshop or paint, and then print it off on some large label paper? Ill post pics of mine as soon as I finish it (soon, I'm just out right now).

What launcher are they using in the pictures on that site? it has a filmstrip of icons at the top of the screen, looks similar to the bar launcherpro uses (not available for 1.6) on the bottom of the screen.
That's the Timescape homescreen with the splines photoshopped out.
I've been having some problems with the transparent label paper I had lying around (the actual design would be unrecognizable), so I'm gonna get a set of white deal sheets and see how that goes.

Here's my gelaskin. Happy after the first few days.
Realy nice!!!
Good work...
What kind of material is it? Is it hard? or is it soft
thanks in advance
It's fairly soft. Maybe like a thick screen protector.
Was installation difficult at all?
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
Not really. Was easier than a screen protector. Only had to be sure to allign it correctly. But I could easily take it off if I missed.
if u take it of is the original mask sticky after that ?

White galaxy not scratch proof or color fades?

Hi all.
Are there people who have the white S3 for a while and noticed if the phone is a bit scratch proof? Or gets dirty by getting in and out the pocket with maybe small scratch marks? Or maybe losing the nice white color?
I wanted to order the white S3 but the guy I spoke of Vodafone advised me to take the blue one because of some complaints with the white color.
Any negative experiences?

mine got S3 white. even i used it recklessly, getting in and out my jeans pocket always, but it's still looks damn sexy.. i realized there's a bit scratch on my back cover, but it's only soft scratch, only visible if you look very carefully..
the color is still white, didn't got dirty at all..
and about gorilla glass, I'm satisfied that there's no scratch at all..
got mine on Monday always in my pockets and no scratch at all. really happy

Ok nice too know. I think the white one is nicer then the blue one by the way. So I think I will get the white one today. Unless before the end of my work day someone says something else

Ive got a white one and its started to stain. Especially after i've been reading the newspaper. Im sending mine back and exchanging for the pebble blue variant. Safer option. Dont want to be stuck with a stained handset. I think i've just got a faulty handset.

i will find out from today.
Mine will be delivered in the afternoon.
We will see in a couple of weeks.
Iv had white since release no case etc and i dont have a mark on it or staining

I am having white with no problem....
But in the first lot it arrived only white in the market here in Kuwait, I did not like the look of Blue in the pictures, now the Blue started arriving and sold very fast,
On my first physical look I really liked it, it looks entirely different than it looks in the pictures, We are already familiar with the same white models of SGS2 and Note, but the Blue is really a new shining metallic look which no other Phone has come with yet.
No stains or fading whatso ever.. reckless use still no scratches.. very satisfied.. tho i wud want a black coloured handset..

After reading the newspaper you got stains on a white phone. And after that you decide to return the phone??? Didn't you know that newspaper in will 9/10 will stain your hands and you can transfer ink to objects you touch afterwards?
I'm sorry but to change a phone for that reason sounds to be unreal. First I would try to see if the stains on the phone are removed with a bit of warm wetted cloth. Its more than likely that they will go away. What makes you think the blue wont stain? Just because you don't see it doesn't mean its not going to be dirty!
Scratches I don't worry about if they happen on the back cover as you can easily buy a new one. I believe both phone are equal when it cones to being scratched, its only a matter of what you can see, and on my white s3 for 5 weeks now I haven't seen any discolorations any dirt that could not be removed easily or anything else.
Only reason to choose one color or he other would be simple preference.

I'm using the official flip case, was using a sunglasses pouch until it was released lol.
Mines still in mint condition, the cases aren't worth the £30 they were launched at but you can get one for £15 on amazon now. I Had an issue with some peeling, hopefully a one off defect. They are not fantastic quality but screen is shielded and if you scratch the back just buy another in future. Keeping the original in the box
Had a bumper case on my s2 but didn't want to risk scratching the screen this time. Not that I did manage to scratch on my s2.
My sister has blue s3, personally I'm glad I got white, I think it looks better.

Well I now have the white one for a few weeks and I love it. Color is good, feel is good and as far no strange cracks on the side. Happy I bought the white one. Don't like the blue one.

Dust speck under the screen

I purchased my OG a week ago and today after installing the clear protector on the whole PHONE, I saw the speck of dust under the screen! I also removed the screen protector to make sure! Should I exchange it for another one? Or live with it? It's totally unacceptable for ips display with zero gap?

One slightly annoying thing about the LGOG is that in direct sunlight you can see dots from the screen roughly every centimeter length wise and every 1/2 cm width wise. I'm not sure what they are but they are the size of a pixel.
Sorry for the hijack.. just want to make sure that's not what your seeing. If not I'd return it.

A Samsung service centre told me it will cost 6500rs
I am thinking to use it as it is for few weeks then buy a new phone...
