You have to help people help you...I'm not gonna be helping cause I'm too busy with other stuff...but to save you some time get a log cat and upload it as an attachment for others or yourself to look at
Code:
adb logcat >logcat.txt
You must have the android SDK installed for adb to work

Bootsound for 2.2 and 2.3

THIS WON'T WORK ON SE SOFTWARE!
download THIS
push all files to your device
in wich map do you need to place the files?
don't worry they are in the right map in the donwload
when you pused them all set all permission to 777 (chmod 0777 /system/*file) or check all checkboxes in rootexplorer
when you've done that open up /system/build.prop
and add this line at the end
ro.config.play.bootsound=1
now reboot
if you are thinking "wtf is he talking about?" then DO NOT TRY THIS! this is for advance user only

I think i just found a typo in (enablebootsound) row 58,
shouldn't: (echo '' >> /system/build.pro) be: (echo '' >> /system/build.prop) ?

Screenshots in Recovery

Hi.
I would like to take Screenshots of the Recovery (CWM 6.0.2.7) running on my Galaxy S3. I installed the Android SDK, and taking screenshots works as long as the device runs normally. but as soon as i boot into recovery i can't take Screenshots anymore, even though my device is still recognized. But instead of "Offline" the monitor only shows three question marks next my devices name.
Has anyone a solution for this?
Thanks in advance,
loyonyart
Yes you can!!! Its very easy..
Just take another s3 and capture you recovery. -_-

Your script is checking for a different device in your build.prop add a safety precaution.
You need to edit it to church for this device.

CWM 1/26/14 (6.0.4.7) + Loki

I just got my s4 and setting it up. Goo manager flashes TWRP great, but no dup format. ROM Manger failed to flash a signed CWM recovery, so I made one....
Credit Koush - https://github.com/koush‎
Credit djrbliss - https://github.com/djrbliss/loki‎
Prerequisite ADB: Can be found in the android SDK (or many rooting kits include like motochopper)
In any terminal/command prompt, cd to the directory and copy/paste:
adb push recovery.lok /data/local/tmp/
adb push loki_flash /data/local/tmp/
adb shell
su
chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/loki_flash
/data/local/tmp/loki_flash recovery /data/local/tmp/recovery.lok
Notes:
Aboot Compiled from Vanir 1/25/14
CWM Compiled 1/26/14 (6.0.4.7)
Loki: Compiled 12/15/13
Tested 1/26/14
If you like, please donate to Koush or djrbliss they both deserve it. I did nothing special here

I would like to know exactly how to flash this as the CWM that goo flashes will not let me restore backups, always errors on data! So after we download the file in the OP on computer(not on our phone?) do we rename and move it to sdk before running the adb commands?

All VZW S4 bootloaders need to be signed. You cannot flash the bootloader like a norrnal zip, but instead adb push it over and have loki sign it for you.
This will work on Mac, Windows, Linux. You phone needs to be turned on.
1) Download and unzip the file
2) FInd an variant of ADB for your system, whether the SDK, from motochopper, or any other.
3) In any terminal/command prompt, cd (aka navigate to) to the directory that stores the adb file
4) Then copy/paste:
Code:
adb push recovery.lok /data/local/tmp/
adb push loki_flash /data/local/tmp/
adb shell
su
chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/loki_flash
/data/local/tmp/loki_flash recovery /data/local/tmp/recovery.lok
5) If successful you will see loki output telling you it was a success.
6) Profit

I want to hope that ME7 will be fixed soon, but the longer that passes the less likely it will come out,... as the whitehats that break into this stuff for us have moved on.
Often big breakthroughs are found shortly after released and can be ported to other phones,.. this will likely be the case for ME7.

I had to recompile adbd in order to give a root shell.
My version will look for a custom "ro.teknoraver" property which I set in /default.prop
Sorry for this stupid question, but what is this Insecure ?
You can split a boot.img , change the ramdisk, if you wanted to .
