Rootbox 2.9 jelly bean 4.1.2 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It is normal that the hardware info is showing only 787 mb of ram? where is the the other amount? Thx

Yes it's normal, it's a sacrifice that has to be made in order to fix the memory leak.

That's normal for the S3, touchwiz uses a lot of ram. Don't worry about it.

You can try removing some Samsung bloat from your rom you'll find it in /system/app
There are lists here on xda.
There is a bloat removal tool in original development sub-forum.

GPS seemed about normal for me, but I always use an external BT GPS receiver anyway. If I can figure out why my radio won't pick up any networks it could very well be my daily. Well, that and battery usage which is left to be seen.

S2 processor

Guyz do anyone here knows the reason y my phone is always in 200mhz even when every is app closed
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
ofc we do
When every app i closed, and no crazy background services running, the SII "downclocks" itself to preserve battery juice.
Mostly in sleep state. So dont worry, when u run some apps, not to mention 3d game its gonna "turn on" and use all of your 1200mhz.
cheers
I think he think it must 0 mhz
He is asking why its still at 200mhz..
To OP if you want to shut down your processor to 0mhz then turn ur phone off...
That 200 mhz is used by your system to run
Solved
Peace
Hit Thanks & It will Disappear

It's because anything below 200 mhz will send the phone into the sleep of death, where it won't wake up.
I've downclocked my S2 many times and it's never happened.

You have got apps that are constantly using data, try to put most things on manual sync and go to accounts and sync in settings and turn it off for a start.
Get rid of any apps you very rarely use.

Is your phone laggy or freezing?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
you might wanna re-flash that ROM, 150 mb free is way too much RAM usage.
how many app do u have installed? what happens when you clean RAM?
When I clean it it only drops 50 MB or so
And no my phone doesn't lag or frees but I can only run 1or 2 application s at a time
Is there no way to clean/reset ram because before I flashed RR my ram was fine (PS I came from cm10)

The problem you're experiencing could be a bug in the ROM your phone is running, Try reporting it to its developer.

[Q] About the amount of RAM Avalible

Hi,
As you know the i9300 have 1GB RAM (1024MB)
But in the ROM i can only see 833MB.
I'm wondering why.
I was thinking why but i couldn't find any answer to this one.
Because the os itself uses a certain amount of ram leaving you whatever left as free ram

So if i see 833MB avalible, the rest of the ram what's left (833 + System occupied = 1024MB)?
Btw i'm not using TW ROM i use AOKP
I think it was occupied by GPU as using for Graphics process...
1024 - 833 is 191, so 191 MB of RAM is GPU memory, not for CPU
It is normal, Every phone I have came across have same thing, Nexus S, Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S3

INCORRENT INFO RUSSIAN SPAMMMER
Actually memory is reserved by kernel for camera, GPU, screen buffer.
With perseus you can about extra 10 mb
