I just used this website to apparently root my Xperia S.

Does anyone know if it's safe?
It's this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
I used it, too, and it worked fine for me!

Hi,
I have an Xperia X10i R4A024, which would be suitable to use to root it?
One Click Root or Z4root? I am confused. I run on 2.1 android.
Try em and see.
I used 1 Click Root and it worked fine.
Hey guys, I have updated my Xperia to 4.0.4 ( via ftf file). I was looking at theese posts about root and they are so complicated that I couldnt figure out I it would work or not. Can someoe please post a link to the simplest way possible to root my phone? Maybe a simple explanation attached?

Easy way to root Xperia S ICS 4.0.4
This is the easiest way i have found here, you have to use Fastboot tool in order to be able to flash .elf files, remember that you can only root your phone if it is bootloader unlocked already, follow the following info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1729280
Maybe OP is looking for a one click method that does not require an unlocked bootloader
No no. Bo need for one click. ( would be nice ) I have the unlocked bootloader cause I already tried to root. Thanx for the flashing method. Will try it tomorow.

OoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooO
Update:
Everything is working fine. Root worked and I have already deleted the sony bloatware thanx again...
Anyone got root yet? I tried the usual method via root on locked bootloader and no use. I seen that there is another method for other Xperia phones, I think it was the S or T but that did not work.
p.s. this does not work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460

Hey Mikey,
If you are new to rooting , then the method provided by doomlord( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335992) is the best , as its a one click rooting method and can root on locked as well as unlocked bootloader. Chech out this video , i tried to show how to root xperia p : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVPXQ7vN5cc
