Open the back of your phone, remove your SIM, pull some air on the slot, install the SIM,
...
Profit
What do you mean with "pull some air on it" ?

But does anyone have an other solution before my sola go to the service center? :/

Normally in the update software (on your PC) you'v got an option to restore.
Try to use it. If it doesn't change anything, the best solution is technical center :/

It would be good if u had paid attention towards baseband while flashing ROM!! without correct baseband u won't get service!!! search about baseband in xda !! And ur problem might be due to not paying bills or damaged Sim card try rebooting or change the Sim card!!! Visit service center if it's not about the baseband problem!!
new baseband is for roms like open optimus, official cyanogen mod, stock ROM etc
Old baseband is for mik's cyanogen mod, froyo based roms!!
hit thanks if I had helped you!!!
Thanks , +1.
But i tried optimuswiz and cyanogen mod Still no service
I think its a baseband problem. Help! I need my phone tomorrow for work
Any help? ???
Flash the v20 baseband from here. See this thread for a picture guide.
PS: The FAQs are there for a reason.

Still the same problem, I tried te reflash it with cache cleared, factory reset, but still no face unlock... Really want this...
i had the same problem try this because it worked for me:
1. switch phone on and off
2. go into camera - front camera - take a picture
3. go to settings/security/face unlock
wahla it should be working now!
hope this helps!
Still the same problem... I hope someone can have a solution...
I was missing the face unlock after flashing to ICS, I had to take a picture with the front facing camera to get the option to show up.
Thanks for that post.
That didn't work for me. I hope that a version from another country will come soon and help.
couldn't find any face unlock in Xperia S. none of these threads works. any new ideas???
I installed the Italian version and got the face unlock now.
Just wondering how accurate the facecunkock is? i.e. if you took yourself smiling, can you still unlock it even when you are not? or how about if you have an identical twin, does it recognise the difference?

Ok. Now what you are from my country, let me tell you solution.
Service Center+Warranty= Free repair
Service Center+No Warranty= Repair for Rs.5000 approx.
if you have warranty, you are lucky!!
Otherwise, you are somewhat doomed!!!
But if you root your phone, you don't have warrenty anymore, right?

You shouldn't say that you are rooted.
Just say that you switched off your phone and it never turned on again to the service guys. They won't find out that you are rooted!
I had also bricked my phone with rom manager last year and I fixed it with warranty for free.

You have to use jtag cable to your phone, or dunno usb jig test (work for galaxy s2) will work.

USB jig doesnt work.
Jtag works but the kit damn costly. It is almost the price of a Galaxy Mini and requires some hardware knowledge!
Service center is the only way...

Does the IMEI and serial number in settings, about, status match what is written under your battery?
If either is wrong or blank then search Q&A for possible solutions.

Probably, it can be the SIMcard... Have you tried another SIM? Take your SIM out of the SIII and clean the golden chip on the SIM... You can although try to clean the SIMcontroller on the SIII where you plug in the SIM....
If it doesn't work, have you flashed a i9305 ROM? It can break you SIMreader...
Greetings...

However if I uncheck BL it goes through and my phone is back to normal but, and i'm not sure if this problem is because of this but my phone doesn't detect my sim card.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Generally, it happens after flashing.
It might be a imei problem.

Sorry the unrooted method did not work for me. But do you have any idea on why BL is the file that fails the flash
What’s does it say when you insert your sim..is NO SIM CARD OR INVALID SIM OR EMERGENCY CALL ONLY...which of them
