[Q] sch-i905 Roms - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just wondering, anyone know any good roms for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE (sch-i905) 4.0.4 ics? Is their cyanogenmod for this device or are their any other good roms? thank you

Pershoot has developed a build of CM9 that is compatible with this device on droidbasement.com. You will need to Odin flash CWM 6 (links to CWM 6 are there on droidbasement) and must be on stock ICS (rooted or not) before flashing. If you are on Honeycomb the modem firmware will not be compatible with CM9.

[Q] ICS Root? Want to install Cyanogenmod

So i have a Samsung Galaxy S II and earlier today i were thinking about rooting it.
So i were preparing for the root and installed the Samsung drivers.
When it had installed it popped up a message about new firmware(ICS).
So i installed it, and i dident like it.
So i were wondering, is there a root for ICS 4.0.3 yet?And if it is, can i install Clockworkmod and Cyanogenmod 7 (or 9) on it?
Thanks in advance!
(Sorry for my bad english,Im from Norway )

You don't need root to flash a ROM. Just enable usb debbuging and reboot in recovery, then flash whatever rom you want.
Easiest way to root your phone is to flash Siyah kernel (my opinion )
Cm7 is Gingerbread, Cm9, which is still nightly release, is 4.0.4. Cm9 comes rooted (I'm not sure about Cm7 though, but I think it's rooted too).
I personally use Cm9 with Siyah kernel because of the CWM and better recovery menu. Otherwise Cm9 comes with integrated Rom manager, so Siyah is not necessary.

Cyanogenmod 7 is based on Gingerbread and it's the only STABLE Cyanogenmod for Galaxy S2 so far.
Cyanogenmod 9 is still in nightly release ("nightly" means beta (or alpha?) release: may contain bugs, crashes, not working/included apps etc.) and it's based on ICS 4.0.4.
-------------------------------------------------------
Cyanogenmod 9 comes with integrated ROM Manager which is practically CWM with other name and more functions. With ROM manager you can backup/restore current rom, partition SD card, download and install ROMs AND you can flash latest clockworkmod recovery from where you can flash all kernels/roms/updates that you want (with clockworkmod recovery I mean the volume up-home button-lock button thing It changes the default recovery and gives you more options lol)

[Q] overclocking galaxy tab 10.1 u.s. wifi

I am trying to figure out what the best kernel is for overclocking my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 us wifi version. I'm rooted obviously running stock android honeycomb 3.2 rom touchwiz. I have flashed most of the ICS roms available including those with overclocking kernels like pershoots built in but would rather just run stock. So if anyone in xda could point me in the direction of a kernel I can download and flash and directions on what to do precisely I would be forever in your debt.

pershoots for HC stock ROM
Is this kernel specific for honeycomb 3.2 or any stock Samsung honeycomb rom? Just want to be certain that it's compatible and is there anything else that needs to be done other than flashing the kernel through CWM recovery and rebooting device?

[Q] Flashing Hydracore Kernel

Ok, Here we go....I am very new at this and never did a kernel flash so excuse my ignorance...have flashed roms...soraum...and now using blackstar vII rom and love it...but i heard alot about this hydracore kernel and wanted to know if i could flash it on the blackstar verison 7 rom...i already have this rom installed....
So question...i want to know how to flash this hyracore kernel 5.4 on my galaxy note sgh-i717 at&t...
FYI..I download hydracore kernel 5.4 OC zip the other day and tried to install through cmw and it literally bricked my galaxy note...I mean their was nothing...no power....nothing....wouldnt turn on anything.....luckly i was under warrenty and got a replacement so i am up and running...on a new galaxy note 2 sgh-i717 att with blackrain version 7 rom and everything is good....
SO how to install kernel and what did i do wrong that literally shut down my note or bricked it......
you are flashing the wrong kernel not made for I717
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
From what I can tell that kernel is for the n7000 not the i717, which explains why you bricked your device. Kernels are device specific. We do not currently have anything like that for the i717 yet.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Hydracore is for the n7000 note. That's the international version. You're running the i717 version. None of the ROMs or kernels from the n7000 will work on the i717 and vice versa.

[Q] How can I install Clockworkmod on my (USA) Galaxy Player 5.0

I just recently (like yesterday) rooted my Galaxy Player 5.0 (USA), and I want to know how to install CWM on my device.I downloaded Odin3 v.04, and I don't know what to do after this. Can someone please explain to me what to do, and any roms you can recommend for me
The fastest and easiest way to flash CWM is flashing a custom kernel for the 5.0 through Odin.

Why? Just flash latest stock ROM and that is it. Better yet, use a custom ROM like neatrom. They work better than stock ROMs.

Siyah is a custom kernel.
Re flash your ROM in order to unroot and become full stock.
