is anyone else have a problem where after flashing newt's one xxx 4.0 rom, verizon mobile app wont work? everthing else works but that! i flashed back to nils business 4.0 and it works fine. i think it might be due to it is sense 4.1. can anyone else get there's to work on newt's rom?
Yes i have no issues with it on newt sense 4.0 and 4.1 works. VVM don't work on 4.1 sense.

You did not say CDMA or GSM?
For CDMA, the most bare Ics roms where everything works are Mean Rom ics and viper rom ics. I've been using Mean and it is pretty stock, although it is sense 3.6 based. The aosp roms have issues with WiMAX and 3d not working, so I avoid those personally.
You could also try sos Rom. It is sense based (so everything works), but allows you to select during install what features you want.

I really like the sense 4 HTC launcher, but hate the rest of the ROM. So I am running Cleanrom dev 1.3 and dug out rosie.apk from nils rom. Installs fine, but when I try to launch, it crashes. What else do I need to do to get that to work?
Sounds like you need the zip signed for your system. Use zipsigner 2 from the play store and see if that helps.

Sense 4 is not compatable with a lower version of sense
So basically your not going to be able to do it

Sense 3.6 framework =\= Sense 4 framework. It will install but it won't work. There's a desensed version of Newts ROM

Yes but senseless roms are just a sense 3.6 rom, with apps deleted. Same status bar and frameworks.

Your best shot is a desensed S4 ROM. I'll have one up soon, but I've never desensed a ROM and left Rosie, let alone on a sense 4 ROM.

I guess what he means is that he wants rosie, but not footprints, friend stream, etc.
Easiest way to do it is to install the sense 4 ROM and use root explorer or titanium to delete the parts of sense you don't want.

It is a no go on ANY rom except the Sense 4 rom you pulled it from. Sometimes it won't even work on other Sense 4 roms.

So, I love CleanROM, but since Scott dumped us, I guess I will have to upgrade sometime. I have been hopping around and can't seem to find a barebones, fast, and simple ROM like cleanrom. It is quite depressing really.
So, what makes a ROM sense 3.6 or 4? Just different framework or something?

SlimROM seems to be a continuation of where CleanROM left off.
With Sense 4, the system runs on a completely different framework.
I think the kernel is different as well, but don't quote me on that.

Yeah it's a different framework. The kernel is also different. Sense 4 looks and acts COMPLETELY different from 3.6 it's much nicer, smoother, and more fun to play with. Lol.
So.... My next project is to de-sense and theme nils rom to look and act just like CleanROM. But with the option of Rosie!
It will be called...... WolfROM! And if I get permission from NilsP I will post it here on XDA!

Can I extract the sense 4.5 browser from newts one xxx update and it work on any ics rom or will it not work since he updated to sense 4.1? I just want to try the new browser without flashing and wiping or should I just bite the bullet and update from rls 3.2

It could work if it had the right libraries and such. But you would need a dev to tell you which ones you need.

Newts one xxx is ics but the new update is sense 4.1. So I wasn't sure if it would work with sense 4.0 without modifications. I don't know if he had to tweak it to work with 4.1 maybe I should just ask him.

I did .. I god rid of it because of camera FCs.. But I am going to try this homemade v336 it has different cam app. I heard that v330 is buggy but with Sensai rom I wasn´t even able to login to skype so I guess Viper is still better

I believe it's because of the kernel differences. The EVO 3D and Sense 4+, that comes with Jellybean don't mix and if you're S-On, with the stock HBOOT, flashing is difficult. Sense 4.1 seems to be as far as we can fully go with no bugs right now.
I've found that if I flash Viper 3D and then decide to flash a rooted stock ROM with Leedroid tweaks for ICS, or something, 4EXT SmartFlash doesn't kick in and it continues to bootloop. I've even enabled it manually to get it to work, but it still doesn't - does anyone have any idea why it does this? I have the RUU saved to my desktop just in case, but it shouldn't not work.

i had same problem.solved by adb push boot.img,you can find it in zip of rom you are trying to install!
