Hi,
maybe some of you have experienced problems with incorrect time displayed in your synced calendar.(7hours for me)- Facebook Inside Xperia
I managed to decompile the code of FBCalendarSync.apk and fixed it.
If somebody is interested here is fix for central Europe (Berlin/Paris/Prague/Budapest/Bratislava)
Just replace FBCalendarSync.apk file in your /system/app folder
If you find it useful hit the thanks button. I can also change the fix for other timezone if somebody is interrested.
I have same problem too and my solution is now via 3rd party app...but your solution is more clean and better....

That's why I had to do it, I didn't like the 3rd party app in my phone when I have this nice stock one.
This app is from ICS but I'm pretty sure this fix will work for GB too.
Here is how I did it. If you have some problems let me know.

Well, that is good question. But since I did it yesterday, I don't know yet if that would change something. We have to wait for Daylight saving time to end and see what happens
I'm in Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5:00). Would I change the value to "const/4 v4, -0x4" then? Thanks.
EDIT:
One more thing. Does this also fix birthdays appearing a day early? That has annoyed me greatly for a while and I keep wishing people a day early. (Although it could have been worse and I could get notices a day late.)

Well, it seems your timezone GMT-5 corresponds to to one in the app by default. If it is not correct try to adjust the constant to meet your needs.
For me it fixed all the events including birthdays.
You can give it a try, but make sure you back up the original app first.

I ended up deciding on another course of action: Export my Facebook Birthdays and Upcoming Events calendars and import them into my Google Calendar directly.
This ends up being more beneficial for a few reasons.
1. All events have the correct times and dates.
2. I can see all my calendar events in 1 place as opposed to having some in GC and some in FB.
3. I can access my GC from anywhere without the need of a special app.
4. I wasn't really using the Gallery Sync and the regular FB app has Contact Sync. So I can pretty much stop using Facebook Inside Xperia altogether, which is one less app consuming bandwidth and battery.
The only problem is that any events that are not Public (so Friends or Invite Only), do not show up by default in GC. They have Private tags on them. So I'm running my calendar through another server that converts all of the Private tags into Public and then feed that URL to GC. It's not ideal, but it works pretty well.
Eventually I may attempt to fix the Facebook Inside Xperia app and I do appreciate the hard work that you put in to figure this out. Until then, I think that my current solution will do the trick.

I don't use this solution anymore because I have CyanogenMod now. Sticking to google calendar as MechaBouncer explained and adding facebook events there seems to be good. Never experienced timezone problems. You can also add friend's birthdays separately

Yes, I also use Google calendar synced with my Facebook, but somehow Xperia Facebook integration seems to catch private events that Google Calendar does not ;/
Seems that Sony couldn't care less as ICS is full of bugs from them and no update so far!
Tried, but only the event times were fixed not the birthdays

I've tried this solution.... and it partially worked (thanks for the partial fix).
The event times are now not 7 hours ahead, but the birthdays still appear a day early. Is there anyway to fix that also?

Any thoughts of using Google Location instead of GPS to speed things up? also, I don't see a way to email a location- just to SMS. Am I missing it? Hm, that's a GPS-Problem under Windows. You can use QuickGPS to improve the lock-time, but that doesn't always work.

Yeah, I am already aware of the "km/miles"-Bug ... this will be fixed in the next version, of course.

Yeah, that would be a solution to use the location service using the Google Location. I can implement support for the myLocation service of Sleuth, but I would prefer to implement the location service into Next2Me, so that there is no need for the user to install another application to use Next2Me. Are there any specifications or source code snippets how to use the Google Location service under Windows Mobile?

Next2Me checks your Mobile Outlook on you cell phone, if there's an E-Mail account available. This e-mail account will be used to send the email with the location service. The button for sending an e-mail will only be shown if there's an email account set up in your Windows Mobile.

Good to hear that ... I don't know the exact cause of the problem, but strangewise the GPS-Stream is on most of the HD2 different to rest of the world's mobile phones ... and on some not, like yours.

I have a single email account (an ActiveSync/exchange account) and it's not being detected. I've tried it on two ROMs

Not really ... it's currently available as BETA version. You can download it from the first post. Did Next2Me crash with version 1.1 or earlier? I want to test it with as much cell phones as possible, so please write me if you have any errors with Next2Me.
Additional info: Next2Me 1.2 BETA also supports location using the GSM network. So, it also works with cell phones without GPS module.

What do you mean with that? Do you want to add your own categories and search criterias? This is not possible currently. I am thinking about implementing it, but currently it's not possible. This BETA version is for testing it with as much as possible cell phones, to be sure position detection is working on every phone.

Tested on tmobile touch pro 2 and works very well on cell tower location. Haven't tried on GPS.
However, the result for gas station is way off, reporting station like 700KM away from current location. Other services seem fine.
Besides, is it possible to change units? Or show current gas price?

What do you excatly mean "birthdays imported from facebook"? If it's imported to outlook contacts all apps should have no problems with that. Do you mean directly check facebook contacts ?

in hd2, you can link your phone contacts to facebook contacts of your facebook account. That automatically imports his/her current facebook profile photo and birthday date to your hd2 contact of that person.
btw, ill give it a go, now that im at home and give feedback
edit: i tested the app. It won't create events for the people that have their birthday imported from facebook :/
overall, its a nice application, it runs smoothly in my device, and the ui is lovely. well done
also, i tried editing one of my existing contacts (whos birthday is set via facebook), and manually set his birthday, and the application automatically created an event for that persons birthday! Now, if only i wasnt lazy enough to change all my contacts

I have ported Sense from HD2 to HD and i know this feature but for me works only import image. And this image is visible only in "sense" software.
Can you go to standard Contacts application and send me content of Notes from imported contact? I have suspicions for that.

Try after soft-reset. Try without sense enabled. Just for test.
It's not working on Omnia2. Error in libglesv2.dll.

Seems to be a driver related problem. Unfortunately i don't have Omnia2 to check this. Do you have more detailed message about this error?
On my TP2 with Energy rom it freezes and i can make only a soft reset....

well, all the "facebook" contacts have a note similar to this one:

Fully skinnable.
Images now fill the whole space.
And the potential for the initial contact crash is fixed.
And the skinning can use pngs with transparency.
And it should be installable to the storage card now.
I developed an app to add the facebook pic to outlook contacts.
Sense 2.5 automatically adds images to your device to be used for your contacts in Sense.
But, the image is not added to your outlook contacts.
I went through the threads that it suggested before creating this thread.

After pressing Start, give it a minute. It is looping through all contacts finding the ones that are associated to a facebook account. It stores them in a dictionary for processing with the other buttons.

Make sure to sync with facebook before running the app. Otherwise you will need to click on an eror for each contact that yoou sync with facebook.
Tips / extras
App is fully skinnable.
If you want to make the button look like it is pressed when you press it, there are images in the program directory for that.
All artists, please post custom images and backgrounds.
Control locations are not editable. (maybe in a future version I get screen coordinates from an ini file.) But, for now, just make images that assume things will be where they are.

I'm no good with graphic design, just wanted to stop in and say that I can't wait for this to come out. It's very annoying that outlook contacts don't retain the facebook pictures after a flash.

Nope. It just lets you set the outlook image to be the image that Sense Facebook integration downloaded.

Ok, downloaded and installed (on device) but get an error abt 5 seconds after having pressed start...
I was wondering if it would be possible to have the app like continuously running or being linked to the update feature in Sense contacts...That way, whenever an update is done on facebook and synced with Sense it gets to Outlook, without the need for a manual starting of this app...
Will be on the lookout for an update, so I can try again.

Would you be able to post a screen capture of your error?
Appoximately how many contacts do you have that sync with facebook?
There are just a couple things that it could be.
If the facebook image for the contact is not on your device. That could cause an error.
Discovered some inconsistancies in the data that I was looking for.
Currently, it only handles contacts where the facebook id is noted by
<sn>id:somenumber/friendof:somenumber</sn>
But, it needs to be modified to also handle
<Facebook>id:somenumber/friendof:somenumber</Facebook>

I think I figured out what the issue is. A long while back, contacts used to store <sn>id:
Now they use <Facebook>id:
I have modified the app to handle both.
I pulled the original version and just uploaded a new version.
Glad you had the error, otherwise alot of my contacts would have been missed. Thanks for testing.

1. installed on device HD2 using ROM from signature
2. started in interactive mode
3. first contact -> clicked Replace With
second contact: idem
4. immediately after that the program crashed with an ArgumentException at CheckInvalidPathChars.
I'll install NETCFv35.Messages and ShakeAndSave later to give more details.
PS: Currently the program installs to CE:\Prgram Files directly instead of it's own subfolder when chooising 'Device' as installation target.

Did you install the version that I just uploaded maybe 5 minutes ago?
Or the first version that I uploaded?

PS: Currently the program installs to CE:\Prgram Files directly instead of it's own subfolder when chooising 'Device' as installation target.

I'll fix that install path tomorrow. Need to get some sleep before work.
I will also verify that the facebook image exists on the phone before accessing it. I'm sure that is where the exception is occuring.
Second Run:
It behaves the same when keeping the outlook picture. After the second contact is clicked the program crashes with the same errormessage.
The previous replacement seems to be kept on the device and the thus modified contacts seem to get synced correctly to the desktop.

Probably the first since the timestamp in the CAB shows a difference of more than 1h. I'll try again with the version that is there now.
Maybe using a version number in the filename isn't a bad idea.

My guess is that some of your contacts that are associated with facebook do not have a facebook contact picture on the phone.
Could be caused by a friend on facebook cancelling his or her facebook account.
I'll add a check to make sure the file exists tomorrow and some exception handling for anything else I haven't thought of.

i have on my Defy green CM7.1 since along time. Last week i try MSGinger4.0 and also CM7.2. But CM7.2 has some bugs and MSGinger is a little bit laggy, i don´t know why.
so i want the stock Moto Email App on my CM7.1 the same is included in MSGinger. I need to move emails to another folder.
could anybody help me to make this happen?

i believe the blur email requires the motoblur framework which is included in Ms2Ginger but not in CM7... i find the CM7 email client to be equally good and much fast! I use it for checking my office email and the rules etc to move emails to folder are already set in my exchange account so no need to set them on the CM7 client. Hope this helps!
ok this make sense, but maybe it is possible to include this framework too.
my company account is not the problem, there are also rules active in exchange. but my 5 private imap accounts are the problem.
i get much info mails from my linux server, and these have an own folder.

Been using this app for years but lately it seemed to have stopped and I see dev gave up on it..... what does everybody use ? or any way to get this working again ???

Sort of in the same boat but haven't really been too motivated to replace it, but just for context, the reason for the stoppage seems to be that Facebook retired V1 of its public API on April 30 2015.
In theory anyone could take up the task of updating the haxsync source but afaik it hasn't generated any interest from a willing and able party.

In May 2015, Facebook dumped it's old API which supported getting a complete list of all your friends from within an app. The new API does not support this. The only friends it can see now are friends who have the same app. Facebook basically broke every app that does what Haxsync does. This is why you don't see any new ones.
I'm not an android dev. I'm just repeating what I was told. I do wonder why my dialer app on my LG G3 is still able to sync all photos, though. I think that is done automatically through the Facebook app. Maybe it has more permissions allowed through Facebook than standard apps. I don't know.
