I read that one but didnt understand when it means to copy it to internal sd card....and i just flash the image and it changes it?

don't be afraid to just try something. you can always fix it eventually. but yes, just flash the file

Do i flash it like i would flash a rom? Or from another specific place in the recovery?
Sent from my Nook Tablet using xda app-developers app

just like a rom

Ty..ill try it later...

Do i have to do anything like wipe cache or factory reset or do i just flash the zip and it will change the cwm?

Flash zip. Reboot.
Wiping cache/reset is for the rom partition. Youre modifying the recovery partition.

CWM 6.0.1.4.
Who had tried CWM 6.0.1.4? It's didn't worked for me. I had tried to flash it with zip archive from sdcard and with fastboot but result is not good. In both ways CWM not loading and hanging. I had to back to CWM 6.0.1.3. this one works great.

Stay with tenfars recovery.
The ROM Manager version is still not recognized an external sd card and can't data/factory reset. (from what written here).
Could I flash recovery with rom manager, then fast boot flash tenfars recovery to gain rom manager functionality

No, you will get errors with backup and restore.
Is Tenfars recovery the whole package or are some parts borked like rom manager? And if so, what parts?

all of tenfars options in the recovery menu work correctly, it does not have an app once the phone is fully booted though

Help. Won't install roms from recovery

Has been trying to install official CM9 nightlies and some other roms but installation aborts. Did wiping cache partition, wiped/factory wiped and dalvik cache wiped 3 times. Did everything I knew but nothing seems to work. Been rooting and flashing roms for G1's, N1, G2X, nook colors, atrix 4g, HP TouchPad. Just sold my touch pad and just rooted this galaxy wifi 10.1.
Help please...

Mhhh , strange.
Maybe look if the zip isn't corrupted and try using clockwork recovery to flash the rom ?

I know. Very strange. I downloaded the rom files multiple times and tries flashing the redownloaded files with dame results. Also tried flashing by rom manager with same result.
Did you try flashing clockwork recovery using rom manager and then trying to flash the rol using that ?

I tried that too with same results.

You need a new version of cwm. ClockworkMod 5.5.0.4, or this one (both should work) recovery.tar.md5 (ClockworkMod)
Also, this question has been answered many times, try using the search function and check the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android Development forum.

[Q] Cwm vs Twrp

Im wondering do these programs work the same and by that I mean will devs have to make two seperate files for each recovery or will they both handle the same .zip files
same
I'll confirm that they both flash the same packages. Only reason to use one over the other really is personal preference.
problem twrp wont zip files getting error messages
I unlock my device on rev3 boot into twrp and try to flash the jelly bean rom and I keep getting error failed can not find md5 file
I prefer TWRP because it uses a touch interface.

No, backups from one don't work with the other.
Twrp because you can rename the backup file plus all touch screen

CWM
I always use clockwork mod because i found a few mods that cant be flashed with twrp.
Since I went to twrp on my HP Touchpad I really prefer it over cwm. I used cwm on all my droid devices..... But twrp is so user friendly. Just my two pennies.

I thought I read somewhere that some roms won't install in twrp

Recovery mode question..

I rooted my fone a week ago with TWRP as my recovery mode.. Then I rerooted my fone to replace the TWRP recov with clockworkmod recov.. now I was going through my storage and found out that there is a folder of the old TWRP which takes 1.+Gb.. I was kinda thinking of deleting it.. would it be alright if I just delete it straight or would it affect my current mod if it got deleted..
Currently on cm9.1
Any help would be very much appreciated.. cheers

It has the TWRP backups.
Don't think I would really need my backup in that one as I've backed my system up using the clockworkmod before flashing cm9

..okay?

CWM

Hey so I'm a converted apple user and I'm having problems with cwm. So I'm rooted and every time I install cwm it gives me the notification that it was successful but when I boot into recovery it is still the stock recovery.
