I tried using link2sd but the link feature doesn't work and it only moves apps from phone storage to the internal sd.
you really have that many apps that you ran out of room? basic moving is in under managing apps but for performance I'd advise keeping them on phone storage
The new app by 3C that will replace system tuner is called Android Tuner. If you search the play store the free app is first on the list, and you can click on the button for more apps by this developer and see the pro version.
It has a feature to very easily do what you're wanting to do, and it will automate a good bit of what needs to be done to maintain that configuration..
When I read your question I remembered seeing something in the app store description or change log that its the easiest app2sd app to use even though its the most feature packed app on the market.

Where is the Move to SD option (for apps that have it enabled) moving them to, internal or external?
What do you have installed that you're using up 2GB of app space?

Sga internal memory sucks as we all know and Link2sd and app2sd are not working,it tried all possible ways to get free memory even partitioning to ext2 but all in vain.
I found this app which really works and free up internal memory on rooted device with just clicks, moved facebook, maps etc to sd.
Its called "Gemini App Manager" its Free and works tried myself.

cant move maps please help !!!! how to move Maps???
This app is awesome But I'm having some problems with apps that syncs contacts like Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm, if I move them to the SD card and reboot the phone, they all ask for sign in and sync the contacts again, on phones memory this doesn't happens.
But still a great app, I could block some apps that starts with the system boot up.
Thanks.

My experience says that don't move Maps as its system application and needs to acess gps, wifi and many other system rescources so leave it on internal memory bcoz if u forecfully moved map, it will become unfuntional of no use, so leave it as it is :|
So what would be best moved and what not ?
maxmix
do we have list of default apps that have to move and do not have to move by this?
Answer is already in my reply that don't move system app !

It's there a way to get the gameloft games to use an actual sd cards instead of the internal memory for the additional data? I'm running out of space too quickly. Thanks.

Look for App2SD in the Market. This should have been in Themes and Apps, BTW.
That's not what I mean. Games and apps look to the internal memory, which is labeled sdcard. Our sd card seems to be labeled external sdcard. If an app needs to install extra data, I want to know if there is way to get it to install to the external sdcard?

Im wondering the same thing. The only way I've been able to solve it is to flash cyanogen mod and it has an option there. I moved my modern combat 3 data to the external sd after i checked use external and it worked And it kept my saved data

Thanks I might look into that. This is the first Android phone I haven't needed to root or install another ROM on it.

There is a couple workarounds for this situation. Easiest and best way I like to go at it is just download "gl to sd" from the market. Pretty simple directions, basically it allows you to dl your app then for all gameloft games like 9MM, MW3 etc..and even some other huge extra data games it lets you move the huge extra data download to your external sd card and play the games as normal. It You wont notice any difference in speed, graphics, etc... I've saved myself about 8-9gigs so far easily on internal sd. If your a heavy game player or even occosional but dont want to bother copying files back and forth etc.. Make sure you go with a 32gig ext sd card. My 16gig started filling up very quickly once I found this program .
Any questions with the app let me know, the instructions are a little vague, but if you read reviews ppl explain in detail in case any of it confuses you, but its really pretty easy.
Have fun!
I believe tibu has a batch operation that'll move to sd. Not sure if it move to internal or external tho.
Thanks this sounds promising.

Get storage analyzer. It's a free app that will tell you where all of your storage is being used.
Trust me...it will be your best friend.
You can choose between viewing files in the internal storage, the external, or the whole device. In your case, make sure your internal storage isn't full...and check for appears that was left behind even though you uninstalled the app for it.
Also, I'd check to make sure that your internal storage, is in fact full, and that it's not just your 2GB space alloyed for apps.

move to sd card
this app works great:
ZDbox (All-In-One toolbox)
ZDworks Co.,Ltd.
from the google play store.
Allows you to move many apps at once. It scans your phone at well tell you what all apps you can move your sd card, then lets you select and move them.
I hate game loft games. They leave all of the post-downloaded data behind after an uninstall.
Ok let me be clear there is a app to move gameloft data to external.sd for devices with built in sdcard and external sd to you move over to external

Your storage settings is missing the category "misc". If you had that category it would tell you. Have you tried using a good file explorer like "Root Explorer" to examine the folders on your internal SD card? Possibly something in a hidden folder that you are not seeing.
Apps might say 2.43GB but the data they are using could be much larger. Such as gameloft games and GPS navigational apps.

By the way I've soever the problem through the help of an app known as SD maid!! I was searching Google for a solution and found an article on lifehacker that claimed this app would totally suit my needs.
I've found that over the course of a year of gameloft apps, really dumb games I hated..and worthless apps that I've deleted, remnants were left behind, more specially, their data.
I highly suggest to anyone who is looking to clear up space use this app, it makes it clear what to delete!

Hello i´m from germany so my english isn´t so good and i hope you understand my problem. Since a few days i can´t update apps because i become a error report which says no more space but i have 2 GB internal memory free?. 2 or 3 days later i can´t install new apps too. I have the stock rom 4.2.2 with root, TWRP and Hacker Kernel. I hope you can help me.. I also tried to install a custom rom but i don´t find a rom that is better then stock and at custom rom my wifi can´t be enabled.
Help...
Nobody have an idea?
Google Play is only supposed to prevent you from downloading apps when you have 200MB of internal storage or fewer. However, I've seen this same problem at other random numbers like 400MB. Unfortunately, I've never seen the problem as high as 1.4 GB.
Although you aren't supposed to have this problem, you can definitely try freeing up space and seeing if the problem persists. If you have 3GB of free internal space and you still cannot download apps, there is a problem with Play. If the problem goes away, I would recommend buying an SD card where you can keep most of your data, and you will still be able to update your apps.

In your screenshot, it looks like 4.7GB is being taken up by media. If that is your internal SD, try moving the media to your 64GB SD. See if updates work then.

The only way to solve the problem you are having would be to isolate it. If you clear up some memory and apps start updating, you know that your phone has a limit of 2GB. In that case, always keep over 2GB free and try to move more data to SD. (I still don't understand how Whatsapp takes so much memory) If apps don't update after you clear the space, you know that Google Play isn't working the way its supposed to, and should probably contact support on their end.
Sorry I wasn't of too much help for you. Good luck!
