Hi,
i am using a Samsung Galaxy S3 (i9300) and installed the new 2.7 SlimBean yesterday. (Kernel: Siyah-s3-v1.7b6)
I wiped it before upgrading from 2.6 to 2.7 just to make sure.
Everything worked fine, and after i pleyed back my apps with Titanium i was a happy camper.
Until today when i found out the camera app dissapeared.
Also i couldn't start the app from the lock screen by sliding to the left.
So i once again downloaded all the files(ROM, slim_gapps, multiDPImarket) but no change.
So am i the only one with this problem, and if yes any ideas what i could do ??

Did you install in the following order:
1.I9300.zip
2.Common 2.2.zip ( has gapps among others, including multi dpi play store, don't flash another one)
You could always use a 3rd party camera app or look in the themes section of xda for the stock apk
I would suggest a fresh install, but first, have you frozen the gallery app by any chance and can you see camera app and gallery in your app drawer?
Try clearing data from both in app manager as well, also bit recovery, wipe cache/dalvik and fix permissions

What i did was this
1. Install i9300.zip
2. slim_gapps (i fugured THIS is what i was supposed to install)
3. GoogleNow
Hmm, i looke pretty hard, but where do i find that common 2.2 file ??
I looked at slimroms.net but only could find these:
-Slim_Gapps
-VoiceDialer_Addon_GoogleNow
-Extras
-Face_Unlock
-AIO_Addons
-Multi_DPI_Play_Store
-Inverted_Multi_DPI_Play_Store
I had a 3rd Party camera app installed before (Camera ZOOM FX) but only could see the camera preview, but not actually take a picture

Gallery is there (also works) but nope, cannot see the camera app in the drawer ... this is why i tried to get to the cam via the lock screen.
Also i tried a fresh renistallation with all wipes possible (several times) in recovery.
*sigh* i guess i'll go back to 2.6, everything worked like a charm with the old version.

Try the all in one package instead of the slim gapps?
The common file has been renamed to slim-gapps so what you did was correct.
All I can suggest is use Odin to flash a stock Rom and then Flash slimbean again.

hello i am having some problems with simply honey..
1.[Solved] everytime i try to use swype it force closes
2.the launcher it came with (gingerbread launcher) fc everytime you open it
3.[SOLVED]recovery is still not usable
4. the ocean waves background fc's
5.[solved]sometimes the power button dosent work
If you haven't done so already, reboot into recovery and fix permissions. This always fix many fc, do you still need help with Swype?

Edit...I'm reposting what I advised others about Swype.
Try this,
1. Uninstall swype, swype installer, or any left over cache
2. Search for any swype files or lib and delete them
3. Reboot
4. Install the apk attached
5. Log in, choose swype english, install, follow the directions on there until it's finished. Otherwise it won't license it if you don't follow all the directions from the app

Download Rom manager from the market, it's free, open it and flash the recovery for your phone, then at the bottom, choose fix permissions. Reboot your phone.
Let me know if this doesn't work.
You should reinstall it.

Probably nothing to do with the apps.
Procedure to follow
Wipe everything first, from recovery, if its custom, wipe cache, dalvik cache and factory reset, if its stock recovery, wipe cache and factory reset.
Then reinstall your rom using whatever method you used, mobile odin, odin, cwm etc.
Afterwards before you get a 1st boot, pull battery after the successful flash, put your battery back in again and boot back to recovery and wipe everything again.
usually when your getting fcs performing the wipes and factory reset resolve it, so i would think it is something to do with how your installing your roms.
Failing the wipes, perhaps its the firmware your using, could also try a different rom.

I Have a problem with the Facebook app in my wt19i. When I use it, timeline doesn't works, no shows the front photo (big photo adove all in the people profiles), and no shows the timeline's style. In change, when i acces to facebook in chrome app (m.facebook.com), the timeline's style and front photo appears.
Some help?

try to update the app from market

Are you using a custom rom or stock, If your using stock then you should reflash, if your using a custom rom, boot to cwm, delete cache, and dalvik cache, then fix permission and reboot. Boot may take a while but then try fb on wifi, if it still doesn work try a reflash of your custom rom, or try another custom rom.
Or try flash this via cwm, it will give you all my working facebook apps that you need for facebook

I Using a custom rom, Real ICS v 3.1, but the problem appeared when i had custom GB, and persist when i update to ICS. i always connect my lww in my home Wi-Fi.
I will test your sollution and say as I was.

The facebook apps in the zip are from real ics v4.1 so try them. I dont use facebook but it seems to be working.
hmmmm...when it come to facebook apps, it is cause by the apps itself not your phone....install/uninstall/re-install won't fix it....same goes if you delete data/cache and etc....
a lot of user already complaint about bug on facebook but sadly the dev always ignore most of them...you can read all the review/complaint about facebook apps on the Google Play Store....

True, but i see timeline working fine in various low and medium line phones... it's strange. Various friends whit lww report this issue.

You need a newer version of cwm. Try mesa kernel if you have unlocked the bootloader. Then go for gold.
@Pusak Gaoq That maybe so but no all phones have this with ICS and FB, my girlfriend has a mini pro running mesa 1.4 and real ics 4.1, She installed facebook from the market and it works perfectly normal for her.

When I am trying to drag Page to delete it my phone freezes for 2-3 seconds and I'm getting this message : unfortunately Touchwiz stopped working. Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Flashed new rom with full wipe, cleared cache, cleared dalvik cache as well. Nothing helps. Think it's a facebook app! Just did everything from scratch without installing facebook app and system is working fine! Have all apps insalled and put into folders etc and all good. Anyone had issue like this before?

Well you can rip the relevant files out of a rom and replace .
Or use the flashable modded TW files .
My suggestion would be to download and reflash the firmware .

Turn off developer options in settings, the green button at top right of screen and then reboot.
Remove your screens and enable your developer options and reboot again.
The problem is related to animation settings.

Whoa! Finally!
Worked great! I turned off the animations, and now i just put animation to 0.5 and now is working perfectly, no need to turn off the developer settings.

No! It is the normal TW Launcher and the same as i my Rom. So you cant use it with MagUX, this is why i delete the "MagazineLauncher" via this flashable Mod. Otherwise it wont work. So if you want to use MagUX, dont try it out.

If you want a transperent Meteo widget you can try this ONE it has a nice transparent widget :good: and works with all launchers (I think).

At first great work! I use your zip in all my roms installed on my p600. But now I get a problem.
I have tried to flash your SFTW.zip on my P600 running at "DocFreeDom's Tab-S port", but with no luck!
I get only fc's if I try to open SFTW after flashing your .zip!
I think it's because the port based on a T800 rom.
Is there anything I can do to changed something manually in your skript to get it working?
In system/priv. app the Mag.launcher.apk is changed into sec.launcher3.apk with permissions 644, as normal. I have tried a cache and dalvik wipe incl. fix permissions, but the fc's is still the same.
I will try it today again and make a logcat to see what is going wrong with the skript. I will post it here or send a PM to you directly.
Perhaps you can say me, what files and apk's/widgets I have to changed or delete, to get a clean and working SuperfastTouchWiz launcher, than I will try to make it manually.

Do you hear something about a the german release of 4.4.2 for p600?
My version 4.0 is based on dbt 442. So yes ive heard about it.
About your problem, i have actually no clue why its not working. Maybe the port is using different frameworks which are not harmonized with the normal tw launcher.
I can try to get the Mag Launcher working of you send me the launcher.apk, framework-res and twframework.apk. If i find some time a can try to set the correct values.
