It's been awhile since I've been on these forums. Which ICS ROM do you think is the most stable and is actually faster than gb? I've tried meanrom but the loss in audio quality and speed just made it seem like a major downgrade from gb.
Which roms out there are an improvement over gb overall? Which ROM you you feel is the best out of all of them.
I know there are no definite answers since these are purely opinion questions

Ok, since you havnt been here in awhile, I will go ahead and give you a heads up. Opinion threads on best Rom, kernel, or mod are generally not allowed on xda. The reason behind this is because they have the potential to start flame wars between members and devs alike. So do not be suprised when papa smurf comes in and locks your thread up. I know you want a general idea what Rom is awesome but that's for you to decide for yourself. You will just have to test them out to see which one is best for you.

I'm trying to build one right now that uses the go launcher. However I'm new to doing anything on Android Roms so we will see how it turns out. Right now its rather buggy.

I'll post it though if I get it working and packaged. Hopefully I can learn more cause the development here is rather slow... No offence to to the great developers that are here. I'm just coming from the HD2 where there were about 5 updates every day. lol

Yeah pretty cool man, u think you can do something in uot?
Sent from my HTC Amaze 4G using XDA App
Well... I tried uot and it works well for some things. But others such as the notification menu didn't turn out very well. We'll see though what I end up with. I have found the go launcher to work rather well and its not to hard to theme.
I wanted to ask, what kernal does the x2 run? I was thinking that if your kernal matched the photons kernal than wouldn't it be fairly easy to port over joker's cm9 from?

no, our cm9 would be running on the GB kernel from 2.3.4 until either we find a leak with an unlocked bl, or we get kexec working

DZK has CM9 running. Albeit, it's not entirely stable, but he IS working on it.
Patience is needed, people. It will come in due time.
I think craby1925 was just trying to help out. From the looks of it, he is a Photon user.
craby1925, I for one, thank you for your interest and eagerness to help out your fellow android users. We do have someone working on a port as was mentioned. He's a busy man though and still needs to work out some bugs. To answer your question though, our kernel is 2.6.32.9. I think thats what it is. lol

Dee Ex Two - See Em Seven
Just wondering for those of you who are followers of Criskelo ROM, have you guys determined which is the best kernel of those provided that better fits for this awesome ROM?
thanks in advanced.
Phone: Galaxy S III
ROM: Criskelo 6.0.1
Kernel: STock Kernel
Best anything posts are banned here.
Try a kernel and try it out.
What's best, is subjective to the person trying it.

far more sensible to ask this question in the Rom thread

This ^^ ..when in doubt.. post in an existing thread!

Closed, no such thing as a "best" kernel, everyone has their own varying usage.
If you wish to ask other peoples experiences with kernels and that rom, ask in the rom's thread.
Hi,
I have unlocked and rooted my phone .
i want to taste some roms and kernels to speed my phone.
Given my phone spec in signature.
help me..
thanks mates.
Unfortunately, these threads are not allowed on Xda because this is a form of asking for an opinion on what rom or kernel to use. Everybody has an opinion on what they think is the best. Sadly this can tend to lead to flame wars between members and devs flaming each other as well for that reason. You will have to look through the development section and try out all the roms and kernels you want to see which one is best for you. I am pretty sure one of the mods will close this thread so just a heads up. Happy flashing.
You're even posting in the wrong forum mate. This is the evo 3D forum not evo 4G.

Not only that, xda doesn't allow people to express their opinions

Idk if you're into AOKP/Cynagon Mod, then I'd recommend the 3D Anorexia ROM for the CDMA Evo 3D.

Anyone can express their opinion here. Just not these threads

hi folks
im looking for some advice on the s2 and battreylife
ive updated nd updated and flashes roms so many times its not funny...........question is
in your opinions which android version is the best for batterylife above all else
gb? ics? Jb?
ICS custom ROM.
For s2g, stock root jb + greenify + link2sd freeze for maximum battery savings. Full 2 days with no itchy hands to log into xda heheh.

Well....this is kind of a "better ROM thread".
Wanna know why?
Because to me GB had the best battery life ever, and then again I got this while on JB:
