Well....this is kind of a "better ROM thread".
Wanna know why?
Because to me GB had the best battery life ever, and then again I got this while on JB:

Have you tried changing governors?
Edit: so im little bit excited yet... Stock ginger roms are slow and have lags, custom roms are fast but they have some bugs - is here some normal choice? Maebe im going to flash back stock old froyo only with root and it will be all...
Adeclipse: On stock rom can I only use for example setcpu but dont any change... All the same... Even cpu spy showing all without change... I think that there is some problem with undervoltage...

ICS .431 vs. .587 WiFi battery useage

I'd like to know from other people who use WiFi to connect to the internet if they share the same experience...
I used to run stock .431 ICS with MESA 1.6 kernel, and even if I used WiFi regularly it would still take me trough the day easily.
After upgrading to .587 with MESA 1.8 the battery drains a LOT faster with WiFi connected.
The reason I haven't gone back to .431 yet is that .587 is noticeably faster, but the difference in battery drain is just too big.
Any thoughts/ideas? Not too keen on mixing different builds for the sake of stability, and don't want to use a GB ROM as I like the Holo interface way too much.
well for kobzars and mine new rom based on .587
im using phone for 25h10min with heavy usage
wi-fi for 6h
+ gaming
I'll be testing this combo and see how it goes...

[Q] what ICS ROM are you using?

It's been awhile since I've been on these forums. Which ICS ROM do you think is the most stable and is actually faster than gb? I've tried meanrom but the loss in audio quality and speed just made it seem like a major downgrade from gb.
Which roms out there are an improvement over gb overall? Which ROM you you feel is the best out of all of them.
I know there are no definite answers since these are purely opinion questions

Ok, since you havnt been here in awhile, I will go ahead and give you a heads up. Opinion threads on best Rom, kernel, or mod are generally not allowed on xda. The reason behind this is because they have the potential to start flame wars between members and devs alike. So do not be suprised when papa smurf comes in and locks your thread up. I know you want a general idea what Rom is awesome but that's for you to decide for yourself. You will just have to test them out to see which one is best for you.

Can someone please help! I have tried removing battery for 2 minutes and also different calibration apps.
PS..seem to have problems finding my posts, so please pm any advice thank you.
Have a great Christmas and wonderful new year!

CM10 and 10.1 has better battery life than LSJ leaked roms. Best way is to flash stock ICS rom or even CM rom and check whether you are getting the same results

[Q] which do you prefer? stock jellybean 4.1.2 or cm10.1

hey i am having a hard time to decide what rom i should use. either stock rom final release of samsung 4.1.2 nordic countries or cm10.1.
stock 4.1.2 is really fast.
but so is cm10.1
the good thing about stock is:
no need to worry about updating all the time to get bug fixes
really fast and solid IMO. and it does feel good to be using the stock rom not much to be thinking about.
with cm10.1 i do need to update..and i do it every day. im getting paranoid and stuff a flashohollic haha xD..
really fast and the latest android version. and the sound in headphones is a lot better in cm10.1 and dsp manager gives my sennheiser cx 400ii really good sound!
the UI is also much cooler in cm10.1
i like them both :/ damn ..
please share your opinions about stock rom 4.1.2 or an other custom rom that you are using maybe it will help me make up my mind
I've got a meme for this, hold on a sec.

hahaha xD
i like cm10.1 better
try Chameleon ROM it has project butter and AOSP apps
You can dress it up any way you want, this is a best rom thread. Given how easy it is to flash/backup/restore with CWM you have zero excuse for not trying both.
Reported.
Thread closed as its a best ROM thread.
