[Q] Samsung galaxy s2 SD card Full! - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have recently upgraded my phone to jelly bean version 4.1.2 - cynagogenmod 10.
The phone is working really great with minor bugs that can be overlooked.
I have only one big issue that keeps on coming up all the time: when i use my camera i get an error message on the bottom and i cant take any photos at all. the message error is "Your SD card is running out of space. Change the quality setting or delete some images or other files".
My internal Sd card is almost full bat has some room left, But! i have an External SD card with a capacity of 16GB! 4GB of it is free to use!
Can i Change the settings in jelly bean to make the photos save in the external sd card? and also i want to change the phone settings to keep all my downloads to the external sd card!
How Do I Do That?!

You can do this by changing browser settings.

Thanks For the help with the camera!
I'm using Chrome web browser and it doesn't say anything about downloads settings. when i'm downloading something it automatically refers it to the "Downloads" app by Google and saves it on the internal Sd card. is there any way yo bypass it?

I'm also using Chrome and can't find this setting, probably in Chrome it's not possible (or we should look in xml files)
You can change download location in Dolphin Browser, by editing xml file in /data/data/mobi.mgeek.tunnybrowser/.../...preferences.xml > there will be line with download location. (I don't remember exactly). You should find it.

Can I change default download folder? sd card-ext issue

I know this has probably been brought up and discussed hundreds of times by now, but I wanted to know if there has been any update.
Basically, I want to change my default download directory from sd card/download to sd card-ext/download. I know that the filesystem is all jacked up because of this sd card-ext nonsense and that someone really dropped the ball. But has anyone found a way to fix this so that all of my downloads go to the REAL external SD card (sd card-ext) and not the internal memory? Even if I can't customize which directory it goes to, as long as it goes to the actual SD card I'll be happy. I know I can manually transfer the files after they've been downloaded, but that is a pain and a flaw of the OS in my opinion.
I am rooted, does that give me any other options?
Thanks
You can change download folder in Dolphin browser. i know it only solves half of the problem
You can change the download option in stock browser too... it gives you option of internal or external SD card.... maybe changing that option will solve all your worries...

Yes, just go to Menu, More, Settings and scroll down.

[Q] Save to Micro SD card

I have been trying to find how to save downloads or apps to the Micro SD card. I would like to set downloads to automatically go to the Micro SD card. Is there a way to do this? thanks!

Writing to Micro Sd Card
I am sure someone in the community knows the answer to this question and I wish they would answer it for Us. I have googled and performed a search on the forum without coming up with anything. I am new to Android and could use the help. Thanks - John
If you're downloading from a browser, this can usually be changed in the browser settings. Eg in Dolphin select settings then data settings. The download location is in there.

Never seen a way to do this.
Most everyone using external SD is to hold files they bring over to tablet not to have files from tablet saved to it. You could use a file explorer - root explorer for example - to manually move files but never yet seen a way to tell camera or browser or Gmail or mail or anything to save files to SD by default. Frankly I was irritated by thus but then I realized 32gb is a hell of a lot of space.
Anyway once unlocked bootloader happens stuff like this - in time - will be changed by devs.

camera

anyone know how to get the pictures to go to the ext sdcard, all my pics go to the internal card, and i can't find a setting in camera app to change it.or at least i can't find it??
cm10-forgot to mention that.
I think the only way is to use the SD card swap. Of course that will make everything save to the SD card by default, which might not be what you want.

Well it's no big deal to to move them. they move ok to ext sd. but i could of sworn there was a setting for that in camera, unless i'm thinking of a different phone or rom or whatever.
edit: i see in the next update an update for the configuration of storage in camera, so?
For me, Camera Settings - Storage - Storage Card stores all the pictures onto the external card, running stock, albeit rooted, ROM.

[Q] help with camera problem!!!

Hello all, i have a small (big) problem with my camera on my phone (S2 obviously) but what happens is when i go to use the camera it says "your SD card is running out of space. Change quality setting or delete some images or other files." but it is storing on the SD card (obviously) which has about 15GB left and has never had any problems, and i don't think it is the rom as it does it with all of the JB roms i have tried. i have no idea why it is doing this but if anyone does could you please help. Many thanks in advanced. Yours MBrown

[Q] I can't use my Internal Storage of my Samsung Galaxy Clone Tablet

First of all, one of our relatives gave my mom a Samsung Galaxy tab 7.0 Korean clone tablet, but the real device name is Softwinners V706, which runs on android 4.0.4. and has 5.05gb of sd or internal storage. First it was very descent, easy to use. But then, When I install apps on google play like Hungry Shark Evo, Dead Trigger, apps with very large files, an error pop up and said "Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card". The solution was unmount the External memory card then mount it back again. But the tablet we were using didn't have an External memory card yet. And here's another problem. I tried to move apps to INTERNAL memory of the tablet, an example was the game "pou", It won't save. what I mean about it wont save, it becomes some thing like this, "me.pou.app", and becomes missing on the app drawer. another is the pictures and even screenshots, it won't save on the Internal memory of the tablet. We are new to this android thing. Please help us! I used the camera of my phone because the tablet won't save pictures for the screenshots.
