Connect your phone to the PC (mass storage) and copy all the contents of your internal storage to your PC.
Google and download MiniTool Partition Wizard (free). Install it.
Using MiniTool, delete your internal FAT32 partition. In the space that frees up, create a new partition using the maximum available size and format it to FAT32. Copy over your internal storage data from your PC to the phone and see if the free space is being read correctly this time.
Even before trying the above, you might want to backup your data and format your internal storage from the 'Settings menu' on your phone.

Damaged Internal Phone Storage

Help..!!
Just deleted some old folders that I had in the phone storage & moved all the pics to the SD card, now I cannot access the internal storage and get "Damaged Internal Phone storage"? Was connected on "USB Mass Storage" on an Ubuntu pc if that makes any difference.
All apps that were saved to SD are of course gone..
Any clue?
Edit: Titanium Backup made a back-up this morning, will I be able to re-install all the apps if I format the internal storage? Do I want to format the internal storage?
Edit 2: Titanium backup is gone too..
Edit 3: Internal Phone Storage is unmounted, phone cannot mount it.
Do I just format the damn thing, is it defect..?

Apps 2 sd,darktremor,ungaze.....

We all know there's about what 200mb of internal memory while some higher end models have up to 10gb internal space....i want to move all of my apps to exclude widgets/launchers...unless there is a way to move everything on my phone to sd card...i currently have a scandisk 8gb memory card, what partitions would ya'll recommend for a 8gb memory card, what script could I use and how could I tell that my phone was being ran from the sd card

If you want to install a lot of apps, then I think you will want a 1GB or even a 2GB partition. And I suggest that you move apps and Dalvik cache to your SD card, basically leaving only application data on the internal memory. I'm using S2E for this; I don't have experience with anything else. You won't be able to choose which apps to move with this method; you will have to move them all. But they will work fine.
Did you partition ext3 or ext4 or just stay with ext2...im guessing my first move would be to backup my data from sdcard than partition a size, what about your swap ? Did you set it to 0...i just downloaded s2e, the only option I see is download cache, but I know this because I have no ext partition on the sdcard

I used ClockworkMod to create my ext partition. It creates an ext3, so I just used that. I did set swap to 0. I think these were the steps involved:
- Backup SD card
- Enter ClockworkMod Recovery and choose to partition the SD card
- Select a size for the ext partition and choose 0MB for swap
- Reboot phone and copy data back to the SD card
- Use S2E app to choose what gets moved to the SD card (applications and Dalvik cache)
I appreciate it mech, I figured those were right around the right steps

Internal memory

So, under settings -> storage, I'm seeing the external SD card as it should but the internal memory is only 2.35GB. Isn't it supposed to be near to 13GB? I am not getting any low storage space or anything, just setting my available space.
Maybe the space is there with another name, how do I check the available internal space? DiskInfo is showing the similar thing.

There are three storage areas in the stock Rezound...
Apps - about 2.3GB
Phone Storage - about 13GB
These are part of the internal 16GB of storage in the phone itself, and is shared with the operating system, cache partitions, app partitions, and regular storage. They are segmented and cannot be joined and actually seen as one drive.
External Storage - about 15GB (sd card dependant)
each one is it's own partition, you cannot access the "App" area without root access. the Phone Storage is the "HTC STORAGE" drive that opens when you connect to the PC, the unnamed volume is the external SD card.

So, is there any easy way to see how much actual free space do I have left?

I can only see
Total space - 2.3, then sub-sections like downloads, cached etc
SD card - (external card space), same sub-sections
Unmount SD
Erase SD
Does your settings like any different?

Yes... This is stock, rooted. Are you running a custom ROM?

Yes, I am running a custom ROM. That could be the reason for the different screen.
There is an issue sometimes with the newer ROMs where the internal or external memory is not seen in the ROM but is when connected by USB... You usually just need to format the partition in FAT32 either via CWM/TWRP/Amon Ra or Windows.
Can you browse to it with ES File Explorer or other file manager?

Would you be willing to list out the process for properly formatting the internal storage? I've tried several things, the most recent of which was mounting through recovery and formatting with Windows. However, the internal storage still can't be accessed by the camera, in ES File Explorer, etc. Thanks for any help you can provide.

In TWRP, you would go to wipe - advanced wipe - then select only internal SD option.

I am using the solid exp and here's this folder "Internal memory" at SystemRoot, Now, this internal memory is actually my memory card. At the systemroot, there's another folder named "Storage". This folder has these 3 sub-folders - Internal memory (same as the previous one), sdcard1 (empty with free space 376MB) and usbdisk0 (empty with 376MB).
BTW, using the Xenon HD ROM and as far as I can remember, TRON had the same folders and all.

Phone Storage partition disappears.

I have an external sd card formatted as 54 gb fat32,3gb ext4, and swap. When I insert the sd card and restart, the phone storage partition (/sdcard) disappears. When I look for the partition with a file manager it appears as if the link is broke because /storage/sdcard0 is also missing. Instead my app storage partition shows 16 gb.
This is bad because I can't access the internal or external sd card partitions. If I remove my external sd card and reflash the rom everything is ok.
I followed a guide so that I could setup app2sd. My assumption is that I would have access to the fat32 partition on the external sd card while also using the ext4 partition for app2sd. What am I doing wrong?
Just curious. Why did u partition your card?
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
I for some kind of app/data 2 sd solution. I keep running out of internal storage.
Weird. I'd say to reflash the rom fresh after a clean wipe. Also, if u have that many apps, I'd consider disabling or unistalling some.

its mostly the media scanner app, google currents, and chrome for android.
The media scanner app will take up 300mb because I have about 25 gigs of music on my sd card.
Media Scanner? PowerAmp has a very nice folder scanner.

This is exactly something I wish I could do for my phone. Allocate the full 16G of onboard storage to App Storage and use my SD card as an actual SD Storage. Is this because you partitioned the SD card the way you did (Fat32/ext4)? After a fresh flash of a rom, wouldn't everything work normally with the SD card being the only SDCard0 instead of having 0 and 1?

I used a bad guide which caused my problem. Never use a windows machine to partition ext, or any partition not native to windows.
I booted up a Linux that had mini tool baked in. Once I fixed the provisioning issue with my sdcard it stopped disappearing. Then I gave up. The partition still isn't recognized by the system. My total system storage Mercer changed.
What I think you are describing is switching storage links.

Problem with internal and USB storage

Hi, I'm using a n7000 Slimkat 4.4.4 rom, with slim kernel 3.0.80+ autobuild.
Previously I used link2sd to create a partition on my SD card to get more space on my internal, and after a while I realised my USB storage is being recognised as an SD card. I tried a full wipe and reinstalled my rom but now even the internal storage is messed up. Not even the reformat works anymore
It's too complicated to explain in words so here are the screenshots. So how f**ked am I and how do I salvage this?
Each time I link files into the card (700mb size, it worked previously) it freezes the whole phone
From the storage option I can see this:
1. Internal storage 2GB (normal, nothing wrong with it)
2. Internal storage 11GB (this should be USB storage, and it has a erase SD card option at the end)
3. SD card 2GB (It was 4GB but I used link2sd to create an internal partition. MTP and mass storage is not detected but using card reader it is fine)
4. USB storage (there is only a mount and erase SD card option which is greyed out/unclickable and does not has any space indicator)

there is nothing wrong at all.
just repartition and reformat your sdcard and dont use external sdcards for app storage.

it should be grayed unless you connect usb storage to your phone.
