So I got home today and there was a box sitting on my doorstep. I usually know when I'm expecting something, so I thought it was something for my wife, until I see that it was mailed to me...
Looked at the return address, and it was from HTC Bellevue.
I was thinking to myself, I didn't order anything, nor did I expect anything to be coming to me...
This is what I got...
so...wait. wut?
why? Did you buy a car kit or something. I don't get it. But hey, free ish is always awesome.
Nice congrats!
What all is there?
I see a car charger with an extra USB cable and a portable speaker?
I'm confused

I didn't buy anything. I didn't even know something was coming to me. I emailed the guy who's card was on it when I got it to see what it was for. But it's free, I'm not going to complain.

It's a portable Bluetooth speakerphone. I've never seen them, nor have I even heard of them, but it's pretty cool.

Dude thats Awesome. Good for you. But do you have an affiliation with HTC or something? It seems odd thatr it would just show up at your doorstep LOL. Either way, thats cool man
Pretty neat. Could you give us the model number of what you got? I've never seen that device before.
Well you gave your address to HTC at some point so whenever that was is directly related to why you got this...cool $60 gift though....car speakerphone for those that don't have in car Bluetooth...
For those that havent seen this before just google HTC Car Mic...

The only affiliation that I can think of is that I'm a member of HTC Elevate. I know I've given them information there before, so maybe something through that?

Good for you man free stuff is always good!!!
HTC done you well. How's the Bluetooth speaker? Something like that could come on handy.

does your luck extend to celebrities?
is the sound quality loud enough for a 20ftx40ft room?
Haven't really tested it yet. Passed out early last night, didn't get any calls this morning on my commute to work.
That's a slick device and you can't beat the price. I've been using a Motorola T505 for a year or so now and it works very well. It also allows you to stream music to your car stereo via a bluetooth-to-FM feature. The sound quality isn't perfect, but it's an easy, wireless solution that is simple to configure.
Amazon link for reference.

Big brother is listening!!! LMAO
Good for you. Now I'm jealous. I want one too.
Now I'm curious does anyone else have any recommendations for Bluetooth car kits?

i have seen many ibeats for around 50 buck on ebay. the ones that come with the rezound, the other ibeats don't have the same control talk features, but you can answer and call. i think the ones from the sensation do work the same not sure yet.

Tried those, I ended up getting NuForce NE-700Xs.
I was under the impression that the one came with headphones in the box, mine didn't come with any? Anyone else?

same here, called to check with t-mobile and get confirmed
I believe awhile ago, Tmo said they wont have the headphones with their phones (most?) anymore. But I do see alot of headphones being sold inside the stores tho. Meh, I like my Phillips SHE9800 in-ear headphones.
It's not really a big deal breaker for me but I just wanted to see how good they sounded. It's more of my curiousity than anything
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Yea they stopped selling them with headphones. but not a super deal breaker for me. I always use the same headphones anyways been using them for forever

Hmm interesting. My SHE9800 doesn't have the phone controls. It being less than $10 is reasonable. Might order these. But are these the exact HTC One headphones? Doesn't mention it anywhere.

The box contents are printed on the box,in small print,of,course,as this isn't something T-Mobile is going to crow about in bold print front & center, & the earbuds aren't listed.
Not a biggie,but,I can understand why most are surprised to not find a pair,as most unboxing vids I've seen show a pair.

Haha, I have had about 10 pairs between my GS3 and Note 2 exchanges
They gave you new phones for exchanges? They've been sending my family refurbished ones for years, which ticks my mom off all the time, as it's only a matter of time before another issue comes up with the phone and it had to be replaced again. I think her gs2 has been replaced 6 times in as many months. Not sure why she's stuck on Samsung, after every Samsung phone she has had was awful for her... But I digress, lol

Iono then. Did my last cellphone come with headphones? Yes. This one does not. I'd rather them spend money into the Phone quality than some ****ty headphones. Granted the international version does come with unbranded beats headphones.

I have been browsing the forum checking out the discussions and people have received with car docks with their orders and other extras.
I ordered my upgrade by calling customer service and didn't even receive the headphones in the box (see image).
Did anyone else get a set of headphones?
Did anyone get a free car dock when they called and ordered by speaking to customer service?
Can we make a list to see what everyone received?
I think it will help everyone know what a "typical" order should be like.
~~~~ UPDATE ~~~~~So I called T-Mobile; they informed me as someone below also pointed out, headphones are not part of the package.
However, since I am a long time customer they have me a $25 credit towards the purchase of a accessory at any T-Mobile store.
I received everything you did and nothing else, no earphones. I bought my phone yesterday from the tmobile store.
Headphones were never part of the T-Mobile packaging, I think the Car dock was only a limited time when you preordered or bought it the first week. While supplies last. I order online the week before it came out and got the dock and phone delivered on the 4/24, even though I did free shipping with an expected ETA of the 4/29. Great phone though.
That's the samething that I said we got extra frequency I had the 64gb developer edition and got tired of tmobile refarming their 4g to 1900mhz so I sold it on eBay for $760.00 and bought me the T-Mobile HTC one I'm good and happy with the 1700mhz frequency
I got everything you got with the HTC stickers, and no headphones. I got a car dock since I pre-ordered.
Not true. I have the sprint version for now that does coke with headphones. They sound great, i usually hate all headphones that come with phones too. These are very loud, clear, and base is deep.
I have two very cool and rare HTC stickers I would trade for a set of headphones.... Anyone interested? They are very nice stickers...
the tmobile version does not come with headphones. and yes they had the promotion if you ordered online for the dock. ( though the dock doesnt work if you have a case on the phone. )
on international ones and i guess sprint they included *supposedly* unbranded beats audio headphones. i already use my own headphones which work great so i didnt really care either way. though it would be interesting to see the build quality and pics of said headphones. ^
Seems like the best choice out there, though a bit pricey: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.remotefairy
Thanks. I went for the paid version. Works wonderfully
Actually I just tried the free app and turns out it doesn't work with the m8 right now so good choice
Just an FYI. Been using the paid version for about a week now. No issues to report.
