Dude, that's kinda drastic, bricking your phone just to get this app.
Attached is the app.
I would say that I have not installed on my phone, because I would like to know if in this case free is REALLY free.
Its isnt free. It has a 9.99 monthly fee.

I`ve had it for about a month.I like to watch the news at lunch time "Fox and Msnbc".Alot of channels are a waste. There is a "80`s"video channel that i liked but the same videos rotate hourly."Chaos" is a metal video channel but same rotating problems. Not sure if its worth the $10 a month.

An alternative is just go to market and install SPB TV 2. I believe this version was for high end phones. I like it.
This is my first HTC for a while. It's a great phone compared to my S3. The keyboard is awesome, screen is amazing in daylight (unlike the S3) and the speakers are awesome. One thing I do enjoy is how simple the new UI is, as well as BlinkFeed. I read a lot on my phone so that's perfect. Not much time with the camera though.

Nothing is close atm. I am lucky that I get to use all of the newest phones and the One just blows everything else away. I wish the home button was centered, but this phone is silky smooth. Off the top of my head I can not think of anything I liked better on the S3 than on the One.
Even the Apple fanboys I have shown this phone to have been impressed.

Hello,
I really like the Note 2, I've gone back to it two times already, once from a Iphone 5, and the 2nd from a Lumia 920. The lumia 920 was great for photos, but the windows UI was extremely boring. I hardly use the S-pen as well, I just like the big screen. But I do have a small wifi problem with my note 2 right now, in which a new replacement is coming in soon. Any Note 2 users out there planning to ditch and get the HTC One?
Do it.

Over the past year I have carried every major new phone in AT&Ts lineup and this is the first one I have been truly excited about. I haven't been able to put it down. The Note 2 was significantly better than the Note, but can't hold up the jock strap of the One. Screen size is the only this the Note has going for it, the screen resolution on the One is ridiculous and more than makes up for the size.
Quality over size. And yes, that is what she said.

i can't ditch the Note 2. to date, it's the best android phone/device i've used. it's a great work phone (e.g, i use the S-Pen quite often, sign lots of documents, draw on other documents) and for my usage pattern, battery life is superb. that said, i cannot pass up the HTC One! i'm wondering how well i'll adjust to a slightly smaller screen...
dont do it u going to miss amazing screen amazing battery life removal sdcard and unlock bootloader if you flash a lot of rom

Has anyone tried using them together? If so did they play nicely? I really like some of the features of GoLauncher, but on stock it seemed to slow my phone down quite a bit. Thinking about giving it another go, but decided I would see if anyone else has first.
GoLauncher (and all Go apps) are really bloated now, which is unfortunate because I used to love their SMS app and launcher. If it was laggy for you on stock it probably won't be much better on Beans. I would look into Nova.
I agree with the guy above. I would never use another "GO" product again. if you install any of them it also installs dozens of adds and click through links to the other products. Also it will just seem to make your phone come to a crawl.
Next launcher is pricey but its really nice. And the updates come faster then ROM updates. Great support and a lot of free themes now

$15.99 is a bit of a steep price tag for a launcher but if it exceeds at what it does and isn't filled with bloat I'd say its worth it.

I took a look at Next Launcher, and its made by the "Go Launcher dev team"
It looks like it is not too bloated yet, but I 100% guarantee that it will be soon enough.
Check it out if you like, it is $15.99 tho!

I'm actually impressed by HTC's devotion to it's customers - yes, the camera issue is definitely a bummer, but obviously it blind sided them.. as far as everything else, this phone is hands down the BEST Android phone ever made IMO.. and continuous prompt updates? Have you seen their stock and internal turmoil lately? they NEED to show that devotion for customer retention, otherwise they will truly kick the bucket.
I have a suggestion for HTC or build in more functionality to Sense or scrap it and go straight to plane native Android UI and let people customize it how they wan't I think that its one of the things that is holding this phone (and all their future phones back)

I highly disagree. I just think HTC would allow S-OFF via HTC Dev like they do bootloader. I just converted my TMO HTC One to GPE HTC One just so I can get the latest and greatest Kit Kit when it comes out. And guess what about 90 days from now I will be converting back to TMO HTC One Stock Kit Kat.
I personally like how Sense is setup, it is fluid and minimalistic. It now has the ability to turn off Blink Feed so it is even better. I just wish HTC would give users the option to interchangeable select which OS they want without having to go through pains of making sure you can obtain a S-OFF phone.

I can say that in the middle of our disagreement I can agree with you about Sense, because that's one of the big reasons I pick HTC over any other provider. Now I do know this: everyone, everywhere says the same thing over and over "our phones are as powerful as that computer sitting on your desk" and the sad part is that it's true! But I feel that power hasn't been harnessed yet; there are so much more I feel that are phones should do and currently don't (txt and browse the web at the same time, of for that fact do anything in combination at the same time, and so much more)
And before I get slapped with the statement "Sammy does that", I know... I just feel that with the hardware we have today (which is pretty much the same across all phones, just minor difference like amounts of memory vs screen size and so on...) it wouldn't be a purchasing factor between manufactures but a standard thing in Android....

I'm still in love with my HTC One and I have no idea why it didn't have more of an impact when released.
Apparently HTC is struggling with all it's other phones, they might as well perfect one phone like they did with the One.

You're always gonna get some errors with a unofficial release. I too was running kitkat on my HTC One. The problem is the playstore. A lot of apps aren't available yet. But we don't have much longer to wait, HTC gave there software for the GPe HTC One to Google. Just have to wait for a release and a rom to be created by the great developers.
