Friends I need your help, I want a basic CM7 rom with soft keys enabled, no added stuff like tweaks etc. I remember there were atleast a couple of them but couldn't find. Can you please guide me there.
I know soft keys can be enabled by modding framework-res but currently don't have time. Please help.

Also cyanmobile should fit to your needs, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1883410
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I have flashed Chaim's mod over nightly and I am satisfied with the results. Gingersnap and CyanMobile are too much modded for me.

My skills are being improved from time to time..I will try to build a Gingerbread ROM (not CM7 myself) with some drivers from nAa ROM...I think it will be great if I manage to do it...Just one thing : If you want to make this an alternative to XMP Rom continue but don't continue if I manage to make Gingerbread from scratch...

Hey guys,
I've been using different ICS roms on my xepria x10 with the On-screen button patch provided here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29816033&postcount=372
I was wondering if someone knows how to use these on a gingerbread Rom, I've tried the button saviour app but I wasn't satisfied. ICS Roms are too unstable for daily use. I am going to install this Rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1829595.
Please if someone has been successful to use the buttons on GB based Rom than help me out.
Bump!

But I think GB Rom can't install it.
However , keep hoping ...
I'm using Octane v4 ROM on my SK17i, the ROM is awesome and very stable, but I miss the feature of changing tracks using long press in volume buttons. Is it possible to add this feature into the ROM? Modifying build.prop file or something. Thanks

Hei, I use Xperia Ray, running on Rayonium V7 Final. I would like to implement this feature on my mobile. Please do post the modifications u did on your ROM. I'll try to adopt the same on this ROM. Please update this thread too. Thank you.
Hello XDA community,
As I am new to Custom ROM development.. I used the tutorial by lokeshsaini94 and developed my own First custom ROM (modded and edited by me) [Tutorial Thread Link] Thanks to him for such a useful guide :good: for noobs like me
I used this for Galaxy S II Boot Animation [Link]
Highlights :
This ROM is build for better connection, battery, performance, Image quality, video recording and more [Used this build.prop]
Tweak used :
1 - [TweakZV6] Init.d best tweaks[Flashable] Increase your performance by [email protected]
[Thanks [email protected] for this Tweak :good: ]
Actually, I need a guy who can test my ROM and see if it works perfectly. I didn't tested this ROM but I wanna know if it's perfectly build or not.
NOTE 1 :- Flashable using Odin
NOTE 2 :- Proceed at your own risk for testing this ROM and I am not responsible if any damage caused to your device [I ain't forcing you to test this ROM] and it's build only for Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
Hit Thanks button if you liked it and if it worked flawlessly.
Thanks for your effort m8. New roms are always welcome.
But "I didn't tested this ROM but I wanna know if it's perfectly build or not" Come on dude.. Test your own stuff.

Yeah.. ROM's built by newbies are risky.. but I used tutorial by lokeshsaini94 to build this ROM. So, I think it would work perfectly... but still it's scary to test my own ROM and I though Developers are here at XDA who can restore their phone if this ROM didn't worked which I don't know exactly the restore process..
Everyone please stop.. it's not safe to Flash this ROM..
I want to delete this thread.. but i could not find it.. can anyone help me out ??

Someone please make CyanogenMod for Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus GT-S7580. I and other guys who owns that device would be very happy about it. If someone does that post the recovery install package here and post it to cyanogen mod so they add it to the easy installer. I want CWM recovery for my device too but its not so important.

The only way you will have an cm, I tried diffrent version and no one worked. Do u have an big sdcard? If so, go to the cwm and backup your rom. put it on a zip and send to the cyanogen mod crew, so they can port it.
My sd card is very small but i know someone knows how to make and mod roms because i know a little bit how it works but not much

I can port cm if someone can make the kernel compatible with cm we will have a custom ROM. It's easier to do then most of u think.
UPDATE: I will do needed edits in our stock kernel to get it to boot into cm10.2. However we will still need a proper kernel compiled to have it fully working. Doing it this way will break some functions but I will do my very best to fix bugs. I will get it to the stage of making calls SMS and data working then I will pass the ROM on to other developers to take over. That's best I can offer. Thanks
If you know any kernel developers please get them to PM me thanks

Thanks in advance!

Unfortionally its not so easy
We must build from scratch without any compatible sources..
I have some friends ( @SeannyM @wulsic) who also ported cm to their device without any sources so i can ask their help when i start with it.
