[Q] In-Line Headphone Controls - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Here's a question for y'all. I'm running Paranoid Android (CM10) 2.18 and I'm not able to use a line-in button control. Skullcandy, Bose, Shure, and Klipsch headphones have been used, and across all of these, none work. Only audio and mic; no controls. So, I'll be trying other ROMs like raw CM10 and AOKP's JB builds, but I want to gather some other experiences to see if this is an isolated issue.
Do your in-line controls work on your ROM?
Nevermind, I found that the headphone jack is wired differently on the Fascinate series, and Android v4.0+ reverses audio channels, rendering line-in mics and controls useless. Mods, feel free to lock/remove.

Headset with Audio Player Controls?

Anyone know of any stereo headsets bluetooth or wired with audio conrols for the Wing? Something with basic next/previous, and play/pause would be perfect.
Thanks in Advance,
Kenan

I use this one, is nice but only controles the Mediaplayer.
I use it as an carset too.

I use a Plantronics 590 with the Wing, works great. Not exactly basic though and a bit too obvious to use as a car set for phone calls.
Look up A2DP on the boards too, lots of registry tweaks available to up the audio quality and performance when using BT stereo.

[Q] Use Bluetooth AVRCP Remote for control only - sound from 3.5mm jack

Hi,
I have a MW600 bluetooth headset... I would like to be able to use this for control / display but to have my sound come from the 3.5mm jack. Any ideas on how i could accomplish this?
Burmo
Can't believe it... it turns out that the SIII does this (at least on Omega Rom V6 with Franco kernel). Once I have a wired headphones plugged in the sound comes from there but I still have my MW600 display and control!
Edit: Just checked with my I9000, it definitely doesn't work with that.

[Q] Bluetooth headset sound quality?

I wonder what your experience with the SG3 is. Would particular be interested in Plantronic Discovery 975.
A side question, does the 4.0 protocoll support headsets (i.e. not only "headphone" profiles without mic) and does it improve the mic sound transfer capability?
Asking as I currently have a SG2 and never got the sound in bluetooth headset to work properly (tried Jawbone, Blueant, Plantronic).

[Q] CM9 AOSP and MONO sound output issues

Is anyone else having any issues with sound not outputting in stereo with any CM9 AOSP ROMs? I have tried all of the CM9 AOSP ROMs out for the Rezound and I seem to have an issue with sound outputting only in MONO. I believe the right audio channel is the one missing. In the song "kill you" by dethklok (best example I can offer, do a search at youtube and listen to know what Im talking about since I cant post any links) after the drum intro a guitar begins to play through the right audio channel and shortly after is play through both left and right audio channels. However, I can't hear the right audio channel because of the MONO sound output issue. This issue occurs in any method of output: headphones, bluetooth, and loud speaker.
I've done some research and this seems to be an issue with a lot of devices running any CM from 7-10. Since I'm new and can't post this is any of the ROM threads, I'm trying to raise awareness via Q&A. So if anyone out there also has this issue as well, please help me raise awareness of this so we can hopefully get a developer's attention!
I had it in mono one time but a reboot fixed it.
BTW, mono sound is also considered the left channel.
Thanks for the reply. A reboot solved the issue as far as headphone output is concerned. However, loud speaker output is sill messed up. It now outputs both audio channels but the right audio channel is extremely quiet. With the volume at max, the right audio channel is as if the volume is at the minimum setting.
Not a deal breaker anymore since I use headphone output 95% of the time.
Thanks again, I love your ROM.

[Q] Can we play audio to multiple headphones types?

Very simple question. I want to be able to use the standard headphone jack simultaneously with separate Bluetooth headphones. Is this possible? A simple scenario is i'd like to watch a movie without sharing headphone sets.
If so, is this a feature in Jelly Bean? CM10? Sense 4.0?
Thanks
