Hi everyone...
There's been lots of talk over the new Manila builds... And guess what, I have them
I'm looking for a few people to test some stuff for me, so the first 5-10 people to contact me will get access to some shiny new stuff I haven't tested yet, including TF3D 2.5...
Bear in mind it's all very beta, it makes debug logs everywhere and anywhere and has a nasty habit of crashing... And not everything works!
I now have enough testers...
Thanks everyone!

Dropped you an email
Everyone that has sent me a PM before now will get access to the ROM...
BTW, the ROM is for private use only, so releasing it is not allowed.
Great, I hope that includes me, I pm'd at 9:04. ;D
oooh sounds interesting, is it a newer build or is it still buggy? or are there fixes?
Also to those testing the new rom, keep a look out for a few bugs noticeable in some of the leo roms.
On home page, try adding a shortcut to an application, (not widget or others, as those seemed to have worked.) Does manilla crash?
Quite a few bugs in the messaging app, try sending an SMS. Does it error out with a no gsm connection error?
-- Will edit this post with the rest of the bugs that I forgot about, that seemed to be part of manila and not something else causing it.
I have one :
Warning: Unable to change the phone's band frequency. Please try again later.
when trying to swap Bands - Auto/GSM/UMTS
Switch to Airplane mode and back on...it grabs the 3G network but in band settings none of the Auto/GSM/UMTS seems to be the active on. All greyed out !

It's the same build as what I sent to you, but I'm going to try and fix some things.
I need to try and find a newer Leo ROM which may fix some things...
Just created a wiki page for easier posting of bug reports etc... Please keep it tidy!

Just replied to your PM.
u can include me to u r testers if u like
Greetings
I have instaled in my deviuce almost al roms for topaz and this one looks will be great. I'd loved to test it.
For those that have this ROM, can someone see if entering a contacts name in the "To:" field in Messaging produces a white screen rather than anything useful?
Hi i3v5y,
Yesterday you promised me that you will include me in your testers and even asked for my email. I pm you my email but did not receive anythng from you. Please I would be grateful if you send me the details.

It looks like a great app. the developer only tested it on his DroidX, and heres what happened when i tested it on my Vibrant (a Nexus user reported the same problem):

downloaded and it opens and adds apps to the ongoing just fine...however if i click on a button, nothing launches, it just closes my notification menu

he gave me permission to post this here to see if anyone would be able to figure it out, he thinks this might have something to do with the issue:

Sure. As long as you site the source and keep me updated on any findings so I can update my app accordingly.
To be more specific, I think the problem is how button events/intents are handled vs. default intent of the notification content view. I'll try to post some code when I get home.

There's an app that works for Vibrant, dg Quickcut.
This is one more reason why Vibrant users NEED an AOSP system like CyanogenMod 6.1 instead of the Samsung crap that we've dealt with since the beginning. When will TheDudesAndroid finish with CyanogenMod Vibrant? He hasn't posted any progress on his twitter in a long time.

No the app I posted here is different...it creates a condensed button layout as opposed to cluttering your notification menu with several ongoing items

Still seeing if anyone would be able to help out with this?
Could someone point me in the direction of the previous version of JuiceDefender, as the recently updated version does not seem to be able to re-enable the data connection. I'm just after the free version, I'm guessing my purchased licence of UltimateJuice will still work with the previous version. Thanks.
Me too. I posted the issue on the app website for review. They requested I try the beta and it has the same issue.
Add me to the list as well. It will turn it off,but not back on.
I've requested the previous version from the author, I will post it here when (if) I get it.
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
2 versions of the beta and the problem persists. I also requested the previous version.
I googled and found a link to a older version that works 1.8.2 (since the dev is of limited help)
http://download2us.softpedia.com/dl...stem Utilities/Enhancements/JuiceDefender.apk
(this is freeware so be gentle, mods)
rename the zip to apk and sideload
Thanks, but the apk doesn't work, parse error.

try dl'ing it again (perhaps via PC) it worked for myself and others...

Hello, just in case someone is interested, you can find "green power". Basically, it does the same than Juice Defender (a few less options, but easier to configure), and works well on the Streak.
Thank you very much. I guess the previous link didnt work directly from the streak. Got it working again now anyway, thanks a lot for your help.

Mark @ Latedroid
Most probably the Streak ROM likes to do things differently.
A tentative workaround is in v3.2.7; however keep in mind that I need logs for every new build on the market so I can see what works and what doesn't. The general rule is: try the new version, reproduce the issue, send the log.
So, in this specific case:
- update
- make sure data is working
- open JD, switch to the "about" tab
- turn off the screen, wait 30 seconds
- turn on the screen - data is NOT reenabled, bingo! (well ok, that sucks, but the issue is successfully reproduced)
- tap on "send log"
- MENTION THE PROBLEM IN THE EMAIL
Without logs I have NO chance at finding a workaround - and that last point in the list is of the utmost importance.

hi
here's a little pet peeve of mine
whenever i go to share a picture, website link, etc i am presented with a *huge* list of apps that i could ever possibly use
but here's the truth - i only ever use three (maybe four) of those apps
and, just an extra bonus, those three or four are distributed all up and down that list - and yeah, the gmail icon is at the bottom! lol
is there *any* way to modify that list??
or an app that lets us mod that list??
i'm asking you guys cuz you would know
and... if anybody wants an idea for an app to build... there ya go! i'd pay 99cents (heck, probably even 1.99) for such an app!
and, while i'm asking, i might as well say what would be just killer features ---- allow us to pick the say top five apps that would always show up, and the last entry says "all" so the entire list becomes available
would be good to be able to sort the apps that show up in that list too
anyway.. just gonna throw that out there
??
no one has anything to say about this?
Shame that there are no replies, as this is also bugging me. Here's a bump for the topic.
Annoying me as well. Recently downloaded a QR app and the damn thing added TWO entries. I'd love to be able to remove everything but email, facebook, and messaging...
How can this still be an issue
I can't believe there's no way to filter the list or at least sort the list in order used.
'Intents' and MIME-types
Recently I find that I've become rater annoyed with the list for "share via", and started wondering how I might go about deleting specific items or at the very least rearrange the order in which they appear.
I've been unable to find the answer, as most threads, only consist of the question, and no answers.
I did however find out that what causes an app to appear in the "share via"-list is an 'Intents'-argument with regards to MIME-types (.jpg or .txt etc.) when coding the app.
See: (add the http yourselves, as I'm unable to, with this being my first post)
stackoverflow .com/questions/7891473/how-to-write-an-android-share-plugin
&
stackoverflow .com/questions/3553017/android-share-via-dialog
That means, that in order to remove them from the list, we would need some app, like LBE Privacy Guard, that could limit the "offending" app's 'Intents' in certain regards.
However I've been unable to find anyone that seems to know which file to tweak in order to rearrange the order in which they appear.
I doubt this helps anyone very much, but it may just lead someone on the right path to maybe coming up with a fix for this.
Try 'Andmade Share' from the market, seems like it would be what you're after.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5hbmRtYWRlc29mdC5zaGFyZSJd
or
share customizer

Feature request added at code.google 2012-01-25
It would appear that a feature request has been put in at code.google at 2012-01-25
(Again add the http-part yourselves)
code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=24741
While we are waiting for this "obvious" feature, the above reply's seem to offer what I'm asking for, at least in an app, though it ought to be built in...
Thx a lot itscro & biopsin
EDIT: I think I'll pass on the Share Customizer, with all the funky (chinese?) writing, and dec. 2011 latest update.
Andmade Share however looks like a winner, and I like the fact, that it doesn't require any permissions...
Awesome. Andmade Share seems to do the trick. Love it when old threads are brought back to life and solve a problem.

Indeed, though it doesn't seem to work on Jelly Bean unfortunately.

Maybe not right now, but give it time, JB isn't exactly widespread just yet.
Such is the cost of being on the bleeding edge...

Its been quite awhile since this thread was active, but I'm hoping someone has something new on this topic. I can't find any other threads that cover this issue...
Hi all,
I am an indie app developer. I don't have a Nexus 10 myself, but I am receiving bug reports from Nexus 10 users for my app. The bug happens only on Nexus 10 and it is a silent crash (there's no exception stack).
I have a hunch about what could be causing it. I have created a small app which tries to reproduce the bug. It uses OpenGL textures to draw some text (the current date).
The apk is attached. Please try it out and let me know if the app indeed crashes. If it does, then that's great in a way; I can submit the app to Google along with a bug report.
thanks!

Thanks! In the meanwhile, I have received feedback from other users (not in xda) that this app doesn't crash on Nexus 10. I need to invent a more complex test case.
I tested it and it didn't crash, screenshot attached.

Thanks! I have now created another test-case, which will hopefully crash. Can you please try the newly attached APK?
I have trimmed the code down, cleaned it up a lot and will soon be releasing this as open-source.

It crashed. Started to show a black screen for a second or so.
Logcat attached.
Open-sourced
Thanks to all who helped.
I have open-sourced the code for this test case here.
Please star this issue.
As a Nexus 10 owner, starring the issue would help you to get performance and stability on your device. If you are a developer, it will help save time when you write an app (I lost a week in this).
